I’ll be busy and I can’t take care of everything, thus it would help me worry less if you both stayed there for a while,” Qi Feng said calmly.“I won’t go! I want to stay here with you! Ah Feng, don’t push me away. I understand what Morrison was talking about. You must’ve been in trouble. I’ve never seen you like this before , so no matter what happens, I’m not going to leave. I won’t go anywhere. I’ll stay right here, Ah Feng!” Gu Lingsha choked up when she said that. She reached out to grip his sleeve. “We’re husband and wife, and I don’t care anymore. I just hope we can go back to the start and go through all the hardships together.”

Gu Lingsha actually felt guilty. She felt sorry that since she came back, they had been fighting and hurting each other because of the misunderstandings between them. Regardless of what happened, she felt that perhaps they were meant to endure it together.

“What can you do? If you stay here, you’ll only get in my way. It’s best if you can leave and take Wei Wei with you,” Qi Feng said solemnly.

Suddenly, the phone on his table vibrated. He took a breath before turning around to pick it up.

“Hello, is this Mr. Qi Feng?”

As soon as the call was connected, he could hear a female voice on the other end.

“Yes, it’s me,” Qi Feng responded and his eyes flashed with doubt.

“Hello, Mr. Qi. I am Qi Weier’s form teacher. Qi Weier accidentally fell down the stairs and bumped her head. She’s now at the infirmary. Please come over immediately...”

Qi Feng’s face suddenly became gloomy like the sky before the storm.

“How is she now? The school must be accountable for this matter!” He hung up the phone after he said that and immediately marched towards the door with his car key.

“Ah Feng...” Gu Lingsha followed.

“Wei Wei had an accident at school, so let’s head over there first. We’ll talk later,” Qi Feng said as he increased his pace.

He was walking normally now, but he still needed to be careful. Due to his anxiety, he walked a little faster and his legs started aching, but he could not care less about his pain now.

Qi Feng turned his back and walked away coldly.

Mu Yuchen got off work early and left the company at half-past two to drive to Fuhua Real Estate. The road was smooth as it was non-peak hours, so he arrived at the entrance of the building in less than half an hour.

He parked the car at the plaza in front of the entrance and walked in straight.

“Hello, Chairman Mu!”

Many people greeted Mu Yuchen along the way as most of the staff knew him. He would often come to pick President Xi up from work, especially during this period of time. Whenever they saw the power couple, they would look up to them excitedly.

The perfect pair was a match made in heaven, and they were most definitely pleasing to the eye.

Mu Yuchen took the private elevator to the top floor where Xi Xiaye’s office was. When he was walking to the office, he ran into Xiao Mei who just came out of the office.

She smiled when she saw Mu Yuchen. “Chairman Mu, you’re here early today?”

Mu Yuchen nodded his head and asked, “Is she in?”

“Yes, she just came back from the construction site and reviewed two important documents. She’s a little tired and is taking a break now,” Xiao Mei replied.

Then, Mu Yuchen pushed the door open and walked in.

Xi Xiaye was standing by the windows and watering the plants. She was wearing a white toga spring dress that made her look soft and delicate.

She had never liked white clothing very much because she always thought that it did not look good on her. Mu Yuchen also felt the same about the color white because it did not suit someone like him.

However, he thought she looked pretty elegant now.

“What’s wrong? Do I not look good?” Xi Xiaye noticed that the man had stopped behind her. He was quiet, so she turned around and looked at him before stretching out arms and did a twirl. “It’s from Su Nan’s new spring clothing line, and this is the only piece in the world. She wanted me to try this white. What do you think? Although I do feel it makes my waist a little chubby, I don’t look that fat, do I?” she said while staring at him as she did not want to miss the expression on his face.

The man glanced at her indifferently and raised his eyebrows before walking towards her desk while tidying up her documents. He casually replied, “Not that fat, but still fat!”

Xiaye immediately frowned when he said that. She glanced at her own body in disbelief and said with displeasure, “How is that possible?! Xiao Mei said I look good!”

“Subordinates will never say anything negative about their boss, don’t you know that?”

Xi Xiaye’s brows furrowed when she heard this.

“Moreover, men and women have different tastes when it comes to women, so you should just please me.”

“No way!”

“Come on. Time to pack up and get off work. Look at those dark circles under your eyes.”

“There’ve been a lot of things going on recently and there are matters to be dealt with at the construction site. I can’t feel my feet anymore. Will you give me a leg massage tonight?”

“If you don’t want to, I’ll just go to the hot spring and find a skilled masseuse.”

“So, you’re all grown up and threatening me now, hmm?” he chided while carrying her briefcase and handing her the coat in his hand.
