Chapter 67 A notification

Elena stood there at the entrance shocked seeing the unknown yearning in Clara's eyes. Elena's shock turned into a smirk as she realized what she will choose now.

"Already fell in love?" Elena mumbled to herself when she saw how Clara was ogling Alex who has no clue of what is happening around him.

"Come soon," Alex said and left the room and Elena entered at the same time.

"Congratulations on your new and bold move" Elena complimented Clara and walked towards her. Clara though wanted to show a hard face, failed miserably as her eyes wavered every second showing her vulnerable state.

"I have come up with two plans to give a reply to your drama of marriage," Elena said as she grabbed her harshly.

"But I am not sure which will make you crumble completely" Elena whispered near her ears as Clara's blood stopped flowing. Her look was one of horror.

"I will have to choose either Alina or Alex. Do you have any suggestions?" Elena asked seriously. Clara blinked her tears away. This woman is capable of doing anything and who knew about it better than Clara? Should she back off from this game and beg Elena to leave them?

"Till now, it was about me only. If you ever try to touch my loved ones, I won't have any ethics in my replies" Clara replied though in her trembling voice. She closed her eyes, cursing herself to even open her mouth. Why does it always do the opposite?

"Let's see whose actions weigh more," Elena said and pushed Clara instantly. She left the room.

Clara needs to think big and decide that she would protect them by any means. She should protect them.

Rose entered the hall in Sandy's arms. Alex ran to them to see why she was like that.

"I just accidentally hurt my legs" She replied as she struggled to get down from his

arms.

"I need to protect my wife throughout this party. So, we will stay like this only "Sandy winked at Rose who widened her eyes seeing how her every plan backfires. She is that type of girl who can't even recite the word Love in front of her brother and father. She is too old types. Staying in his arms in front of her family would be the least thing she would do.

"I will kill you, sandy. Leave me" Rose struggled harshly while Alex grabbed her instantly from Sandy's clutches and glared at him with fire eyes.

"Stay like a guest and leave like the same" Alex spoke in an extremely dangerous voice while Sandy was just glaring at him for the answers which Alex was not aware of. Why the hell did he believe Clara and not him?

"I am not a guest. I am the only son in law and I hope your brother learns this quickly. Because our divorce won't happen anytime and they have to serve me till the end" Sandy replied to Rose, glaring at Alex who gritted his teeth.

"In some countries, a brother-in-law should clean his sister's husband's shoes, have you heard of them, Alex?" Sandy asked seriously with a mocking laugh and now Alex couldn't hold himself from grabbing his collar.

Before they could get into an ugly fight, Clara walked towards them Fastly.

"One more time I see you fight; I won't think twice to lock you both inside any room" Clara snapped at them as she grabbed Alex to her side.

"How can you both have an adult face when you are not more than 5 years in your attitude?" Clara asked and now Rose burst out into laughter seeing how her brother and so-called husband stood there like a class student who got caught by the teacher. "That was amazing. How did you do this?" Rose asked when Clara successfully kept them away from each other and both listened to her like an obedient kid. "Why?" Clara asked instantly.

"It's impossible to order them. I mean, even I have no power to control these two mad people" Rose replied still amazed at how Clara did this magic. Clara was confused now. She hell never had that difficulty with them. They both have listened to her and she was so rude to them earlier too.

Both are alarmed by the announcement of Mathew to introduce his son and daughter- in-law. Everyone came to the stage to congratulate the couple and Clara made sure to give water and juices to Alina so that she doesn't get tired.

Elena and Sharon stood in a corner watching everything.

"To be honest, I didn't like it." Both said the same thing in unison.

"We should let it go. Instead, I have a special motive now" Elena said seriously, facing Sharon.

"I can't see my Alina living here like a second-hand product. I mean, everything is only Alex here." Sharon bowed down in response. She too agrees with the fact. "Guess we both share the same opinion" Elena laughed seeing how easily Sharon agreed to her motive and now they have to just plan accordingly.

For them, the most interesting fact is Alex is really a good person and he would do anything for his brother. So, both knew how to take advantage of it.

The function ends on a happy note and at last everyone seemed to accept Alina and Edward and forgive them.

Clara was helping the maids to clean the kitchen which was not at all necessary. But she felt that the keepers are too tired lately. Alex watched her from afar and was amazed to see different flavours of her.

"Mrs. Smith. Let me handle this." Clara offered help to lift the big vessel while Mrs. Smith smiled in response clutching her small baby bump.

"You should rest now." Clara softly spoke as she made her sit nearby while she bent to take the big vessel. The weight was too much as Clara widened her eyes as soon as she stumbled. She can't embarrass herself falling in the middle of the employees for sure. But she gave up finally as she knew that if she resisted to not fall, her hips would surely dislocate. She closed her eyes and soon she found herself in Alex's arms. It was the second time in a row that he was saving her like this. She couldn't thank the stars enough for this.

"It seemed the vessel is holding you" Alex teased his little wife who gaped at his words. Is she looking that smaller than this vessel? Before she could reply to him, they saw Edward there.

"Wow. Powerful catch bro" Edward beamed and Clara wanted to really check if there was any camera there. Edward would always jump in whenever they were in an awkward position.

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked, still holding Clara.

"You can leave her and ask me also." Edward giggled at the flushed face of Alex who gently placed Clara on the floor with a grumpy look towards Edward.

"Don't be mad. I came here because of your sister" Edward complained with a huge pout.

"What happened to Alina?" Clara was terrified suddenly.

"She can ask anything. I mean I too know about these mood swings and all. So, I was well prepared. I can buy her anything anytime. But now she is demanding to eat some crispy beans and she wants me to prepare them." Edward sat there with a huge pout, expecting Clara to help him. After all it's for Alina, right?

"Okay. Then why are you wasting your time? Go and prepare them" Alex said holding back his laughter.

"Won't you help me for your sister?" Edward asked Clara and Alex knew that she would surely say yes. How cute his brother is to take advantage of sisterhood?

"Your wife. Your problem." Clara kept that big vessel aside as she spoke nonchalantly. Edward widened his eyes while Alex couldn't be prouder of his wife.

"Did you ask for my help while loving her or making her pregnant?" She added with a huge frown. She is still not okay with how they both love each other. On one side it's her sister and on the other side she thinks that Edward and she share a good friend zone. So, he could have shared this with her as Alina is her sister.

Alex laughed out loudly and Edward was too shocked to even react. He thought that Clara would help him for sure.

Alex was alerted of a notification as he took his mobile and his expression changed suddenly.

Far away in a bar, Sandy too got the same notification of a message. His eyes turned dark but with a smile.
