Chapter 18 The Battle of Olympus

PJ's POV

I felt like my head was about to blow up, first I meet my future self, find out that i'm one of the most powerful demigods in the world, that i'm engaged to my best friend, I nearly get killed about a billion times, and now i'm about to find out about how I lead an army to victory; So you know nothing special. "Okay so it's time for the tale of my fifth quest" Percy said mysteriously.

"Shut up and start telling the story prissy" Clarisse said annoyed.

"What do you want me to do shut up or tell the story" Percy asked smirking, Clarisse glared and threw a rock at Percy's head, he ducked just in time, thank god, I didn't want to be mentally unstable in the future.

"Dude I could have died" Percy cried dramatically, AC rolled her eyes.

"Gods your so dramatic" she said turning to  me, I did the mature thing and stuck my tongue out at her.

"Okay I was taking Paul's car for a spin with Rachel during summer break when my Pegasus named Blackjack landed on the roof".

"Who's Paul" I asked curiously.

"My new step-father, he's awesome" Percy replied smiling.

"So no Smelly Gabe" I asked hopefully, the campers tensed and AC gritted her teeth.

"Awe you care" I teased AC.

"Of course I do, nobody should have to go through that" she said seriously, I looked at her in shock.

"Yup I took care of him" Percy said smiling evilly, people looked at him warily. I smiled, he deserves whatever I do to him in the future.

"What did do you to him" PM asked curiously.

"I turned him into a statue with Medusa's head and sold him to an art gallery" Percy exclaimed happily, that evil smile still on his face.

"Awesome" I yelled happily, he's finally gone!

"Wait where did you get Medusa's head from" CLR asked excitedly, probably wanting to know if their was bloodshed.

"Oh I forgot, I killed her when I was twelve" he replied nonchalantly, great I'm gonna kill Medusa this year I thought, this is so confusing!

"So anyway" Percy continued. "Beckendorf was riding Blackjack, our plan was to sneak onto Krono's ship and set up some Greek fire to blow up the ship, getting rid off all the monsters on the ship."

"Of course anything to do with an explosion and Percy's there" Leo said, snickering.

"I don't blow up that many things" Percy protested, Annabeth scoffed and I had to agree. I've already blown up a canon, a shark tank, and two schools, never mind what I blow up in the future!

"Percy you've blown up a mountain, two national monuments, a fleet of police cars, two gyms, an ice berg, and that's after I met you" Annabeth exclaimed, everyone's mouth's fell open, including mine, holy Poseidon I blow up a lot of things!

AC stared at me wide eyed, "what else did you blow up" she asked curiously. The other demigods turned towards me, waiting for my answer.

"Uh a canon, a shark tank, two schools, and Zeus blew up a car because I was in it" I said, trying to remember everything. The campers looked at me in shock, surprise, and amusement while the future campers just shook their heads in reassignment.

"Oh Percy" Hazel sighed.

"What?" we both asked.

"THAT'S SO AWESOME WE'RE GOING PRANKING TOGETHER" TS, CS, Travis, and Conner yelled, they looked at each other weirdly and started to have a staring contest.

"I swear they have the attention spans of goldfishes" Katie said, KG nodding her head in agreement.

"I don't know, because he can stare at you for a long time, trust me during meeting's at the big house he's just staring at you with this lovey-dovey expression" Percy said making a face.

"I told you" Conner exclaimed, turning to Travis who was a bright red.

Katie came over and gave him a kiss. "This is so weird" I heard TS whisper to CS.

"Don't pretend you aren't happy" I whispered, TS blushed matching his future self while CS high fived me.

"Okay back to the story" Clarisse said, annoyed, Percy nodded. "

Okay so we flew to the ship, Beckendorf went into the control room to set up the Greek fire bombs while I distracted all the monsters on the ship" Percy said. The demigods looked at both of us worriedly, I wanted to yell hey I'm worried to, I don't want to die but Grover and AC would never let me hear the end of it. "So I was running when this gigantic crab, like bigger than a house tries to kill me".

"Are you kidding me" I asked groaning.

"Nope" Percy replied sympathetically. "So luckily when Paul took my crabbing in the summer he showed me a kink in it's shell, on it's stomach" he said, thank gods I thought relieved. I inwardly smiled, it seems like I was close with Paul in the future, it would be nice to finally have a father figure. "So I rolled underneath it and stabbed it's stomach, I had attracted the attention of the other monster's so I started to fight them, my sword got knocked out of my hand so I grabbed a model of the ship that was near by and whacked them with it" Percy said, the demigods looked torn between laughing or being worried. "Unfortunately, Kronos appeared, with Beckendorf" Percy said grimly. The campers gasped in horror and looked in panic at Percy and Beckendorf. "Beckendorf motioned to his watch and I realized that the bombs were still armed, at first I didn't think the monsters would be that stupid but apparently they were. I mouthed how long, and he made a zero with his hands, he told me to go but I couldn't leave him, it all happened so fast" Percy said, pain in his eyes. "The ship exploded, I barley had time to jump off the ship, I hit the water and blacked out, Beckendorf didn't make it" he said, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. Annabeth wrapped her arms around him and he buried his face into her shoulder. Reality hit me their, people die every day, I was going to lose people that I care about and it would probably haunt me for the rest of my life, I don't know if I'll be able to handle it I thought overwhelmed.

Beckendorf looked shocked, the other demigods looked at him in horror and sadness. He swallowed hard before walking up to Percy who looked at him with regret in his eyes. "Percy I want to you to know that I don't blame you for what happened, it was my choice and there was nothing you could do about it, but i'm glad that I died fighting and that in the end it helped camp" he said seriously. Percy smiled and clapped him on the shoulder in thanks, but I could tell that he was still hurt, he was my future self after all.

"Do you want to take a break child" Chiron asked Percy sympathetically, he probably had his fair share of experience with this kind of stuff I thought.

"No i'm good, let's get back to the story" Percy said. Jason gave him a supporting clap on the back, being the leader of Rome he probably saw this kind of stuff as well I thought, heck everyone in the future has probably gone through this!

"So I got back to camp and broke the news, it was awful but Silena's reaction was probably the worst." Beckendorf looked at Silena in surprise. "They were dating and in love in the future so yeah" Percy said smiling at Beckendorf and Silena's blushing faces. "So anyway Annabeth and Chrion finally decided to tell me the great prophecy, well the first great prophecy, man I hate great prophecies" Percy exclaimed.

"Tell me about it" the future demigods chorused.

"So anyway long story short, the prophecy told me that I was going to decided the fate of the world on my sixteenth birthday."

"Fantastic" I said, sarcastically.

"Wow you were even sarcastic back then" Piper said, shaking her head.

"You know the prophecy is kind of like sleeping beauty, on your sixteenth birthday you shall prick your finger and die" Leo cried dramatically.

Percy gave him a disbelieving look before bursting out laughing. "Only you Leo" he muttered.

"So anyway, Typhon was awaking so the gods had left Olympus to fight him." The campers gasped at this, Chrion and Mr.D looked frustrated and tired. "But I realized that since they were all fighting, it left Olympus vulnerable and unprotected" Percy continued.

"Oh gods" Hazel said, realizing what was going to happen.

"And things just got worse from there" Percy said, I groaned how is that even possible I thought exasperated. I saw Clarisse wince, it probably had something to do with her. "So the Apollo cabin and the Ares cabin were fighting over a chariot, the Apollo cabin won so Clarisse told us that the Ares cabin wouldn't fight and stormed off." The campers gasped, Clarrise and CLR had the decency to look embarrassed.

I heard AC groan next to me. "This is great" she muttered sarcastically, GU looked scared out of his wits.

"So of course that just made my day" Percy said sarcastically. "Anyway Nico had a plan, Luke bathed in the river Styx and he wanted me to do it to." The campers gasped and my mouth fell open. I knew that swearing on the river Styx was the most serious oath you could ever make, I didn't even want know what would happen if I bathed in it.

Annabeth's POV

"So we went to Manhattan to find my mom because you need permission to bathe in the river Styx" Percy continued. "We asked my mom and she was unsure at first because it was pretty dangerous." Everything he does is dangerous I thought exasperated, one day that boy was going to give Sally and I a heart attack. "Eventually Paul, Nico, and I were able to convince her and we headed to the river Styx, or so I thought" Percy said. "Nico convinced me that we needed to go to the underworld for something, instead I met Hades." My eyes widened, why hadn't I heard about this I thought, slightly panicked, I knew for a fact that Percy and Hades didn't get along in the past. "He said that he wanted Nico to be the child of the prophecy, so he got his guards to take me to the dungeons, he wanted me to live there until I died, Nico had betrayed me." Percy said, a hint of bitterness in his voice. My mouth fell open in horror along with the rest of the campers, the future campers looked at Nico and Percy in shock. How was that even possible, Percy's alive and good friends with Nico I thought confused.

Suddenly there was a surprised scream. I spun around just in time to see Thalia punch Nico in the jaw. Jason restrained her while Piper gave Nico some ambrosia. "Guys" Percy said, "It wasn't totally his fault, Hades didn't tell him that he wanted to kill me, just that he wanted to talk to me and in exchange Nico could get information about his mom and his past."Thalia stopped struggling and the demigods nodded in understanding. Most of us didn't have good home lives or pasts so it wasn't out of the ordinary for Nico to do this in order to learn about his past.

ND looked mournful and Nico looked down ashamed, Percy gave him an it's okay look and Nico gave him a weak smile. "So anyway, before the skeleton guys dragged me off I kind of chucked a ruby at Hades" Percy said sheepishly. I looked at him in disbelief along with the other demigods.

"So to stop Hades, the god of the underworld and one of the big three, from sticking you in a dungeon and letting you rot there for a hundred years you threw a rock at him" I asked, looking at him like he was crazy.

"Sometimes I wonder how he's even alive" I heard Frank mutter from beside me, me too Frank I thought shaking my head.

"So anyways I was in the dungeon trying to sleep when I heard some movement beside me" Percy said, I gripped his hand tight in worry, he gave me a warm smile and kissed me comfortingly, which made sparks run through my body. "I uncapped riptide and lunged, hitting something, and pointed my sword at their neck, turns out it was just Nico" Percy said shrugging.

"Talk about anti climatic" Leo said.

"So anyway I kept the sword there and Nico chocked out that he wanted to get me out" Percy said.

"Man your glare was scary, especially when it's directed at you" Nico said shuddering.

Leo nodded, "tell me about it".

"How do you know" PM asked confused.

"I was possessed and fired a canon on new Rome, Percy tackled me and gave me the glare before he found out that I was possessed" Leo said, frowning at the memory.

"Well now I can cross getting possessed of my bucket list" LV said jokingly.

"So, Nico and I escaped out of the underworld like bosses" Percy said smugly.

"So basically you nearly died a bunch of times" Thalia said.

"Yup pretty much."

"Anyway, we went to the river Styx and Nico told me that I had to think of a place to anchor me to the world, like how Achilles picked him heel, his ghost also came to give me a warning." I raised me eye brows, surprised. Nico snickered, "when Achilles gave him the warning Percy just said that he wouldn't wear sandals." I burst out laughing along with the other demigods.

"Nice Perce" Conner teased. Percy blushed and I kissed his cheek.

"So, I jumped in and it was absolutely awful, it was like diving into a pit of acid but a hundred times worse" I squeezed his hand in worry, oh gods the things that he had to go through. "I could feel my identity slipping away, forgetting who I was until I heard a voice, it was Annabeth's, and I remembered my anchor to the world, she was my anchor" Percy said. My heart swelled and I beamed, he thought of me, I was his anchor I felt a wave of love and realization hit me, he loved me, he really did more than anything. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards me, kissing him, I felt him melt into the kiss, he wrapped his arms around me and I felt comforted and like my heart was about to burst out of my chest at the same time.

"AWWWWW" I broke away from Percy to see the Aphrodite kids freaking out.

"Oh my gods you guys are like tots cute together" Piper cried, Percy raised his eyes in surprise, and Jason looked at her like she was crazy, this was defiantly unlike Piper.

"Gah stop influencing my thoughts mom" she cried, shaking her head as if she could shake the thoughts out. Jason laughed kissed her forehead.

Nico's POV

"Okay I want to tell them this part"I said excitedly. "It's the kick ass Percy part." Percy laughed.

"Yay kick ass Percy's so cool" Travis and Conner cheered, Katie rolled her eyes amused.

"So Percy crawls out of the water, his skins all red and raw, I help him up and the Hades come's riding a black chariot and an army of a hundred skeleton warriors" I said.

"Seriously how have I not heard about this" Annabeth cried, Percy just shrugged sheepishly.

"So Percy got mad, like really mad and you know what happens when Percy get's mad" the future demigods nodded, while the past campers looked confused.

"Remember how Percy took out the Minotaur with no training at all and ripped off it's horn" I asked, the past campers nodded.

"How could I forget" PJ mumbled.

"It was because he was mad, now imagine what would happen if he was even angrier, more powerful, had more experience, and had more training." The campers mouth fell open as they realized what might happen and what he could do.

"Everyone's staring at me" Percy stage whispered to us. I just laughed, "get used to it" I said, he pouted.

"So Percy charged the army, I thought he was crazy but he took out the entire army of one hundred warriors in less than five minutes with not one scratch and he practically radiated power" I said, the campers looked at Percy in awe, including the future ones as well. I remembered my shock, I had so not seen that coming! "Then he lunged at Hades and had him on the ground at sword point in a couple of seconds and Hades actually looked scared" I said, seeing my dad scared had totally shocked me, a god was scared of Percy, and not just any god, one of the big three. It showed me how powerful Percy was and that we had a good chance at winning the war but honestly when he was scary when he was angry it even scared me a little.

"Holy Zeus's beard" Thalia said, looking at Percy in shock and a little admiration, everyone else was to shocked to comment on Thal's word choice.

"Okay campers let's take a lunch break" Chiron said, looking a little shocked himself, I felt smug that sure shocked them. Percy broke the shocked silence.

"FOOD" he cried and ran to the Poseidon table, my stomach grumbled and I inwardly shrugged, why not I thought, "FOOD" I cried and ran to the Hades table, followed by the rest of the boys, I could practically hear the girls facepalming.
