Chapter 17 The Titan's Curse Part 2

Percy's POV

"Okay so back to my quest" I said, we were all in the pavilion about to listen to the rest of the story about my third quest. "So the teeth were planted and out sprung skeletons. "

"Seriously, this just keeps on getting better and better" PJ said in a fake cheery voice.

"Bow down to Perseus Jackson, the king of sarcasm" Leo said dramatically. I rolled my eyes but didn't argue, I tended to be a little sarcastic sometimes....okay a lot.

"So Atlas was about to give the skeletons a scrap of fabric from one of the hunters jackets, once they smelt it they would be able to chase the hunters and find them no matter what" I said.  The campers gasped, the future campers to as only Grover and Thalia had been there. "So I ran and grabbed the piece of fabric, and the skeleton grabbed a piece of my shirt instead."

"Thanks by the way Perce" Thalia said smiling gratefully.

"No problem" I said waving her off, she was my cousin it's not like I wouldn't have done anything. AC gave PJ a beaming smile who in turn became beet red, okay maybe we really were oblivious I thought.

"Luke was there and knew it was me, because Thalia, Grover, and I were the only ones who were there when Annabeth was kidnapped and saw her hat, and he already knew where Thalia and Grover were. So I ran out, trying to find Grover, Thalia, and the rest of the hunters, when I heard a loud kind of growl behind me and swung my sword" I said. Oh gods this part was so funny, I had tried to kill Rachel after she blew her nose. I started to laugh at the memory while everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

"Dude your about to be killed by skeletons, how is that funny" Clarisse demanded, looking confused.

"You'll see" I said shaking my head, oh gods that was hilarious. "So I turn around to fight the skeleton when it turns it out it was just a girl blowing her nose and I had tried to decapitate her" I stated seriously. The campers started to laugh.

"So that's how you met Rachel" Thalia said, laughing.

"I still can't believe that your the one who found our oracle" Katie said, shaking her head. The past campers mouths fell open.

"What an oracle so it moved on to another body? Was it that girl Rachel's body? How is that even possible? How does it effect her?" AC blurted out questions non-stop. I had to hold in my laughter.

"You'll find out, now she could see through the mist so I tried doing that snappy finger thing that Thalia does to manipulate the mist but it didn't work and she looked at me like I had grown three heads" I said laughing, along with the other demigods. "So I kept on running to find Thalia, Grover, Zoe, and Bianca. I got there and Thalia looked torn between being shocked and wanting to slap me" I stated.

Jason gasped "But Thals never want's to hurt anyone, especially not you Percy" he said sarcastically.

"I know right" Piper said, feigning surprise.

"No Piper you've been corrupted" Thalia cried dramatically.

"Come to the dark side Thals, we have McDonald's happy meals" Nico said. I started laughing remembering Nico's obsession with happy meals.

"A little warning for you guys" I said to the past demigods. "Never give Nico happy meals or coffee, the coffee thing goes for Leo too, once he was shaking for two whole days" I said, shaking my head at the memory.

"NO PERCY WHY ARE YOU SO CRUEL" Leo and Nico cried dramatically.

"Don't worry guys I know someone who can help you, I've had therapists on call since the day I met you" Annabeth replied. Piper and her high fived. The past demigods burst out laughing at our conversations.

"I'm hilarious" AC said, laughing.

PJ coughed "sure" he mumbled.

AC raised her eyebrows. Did you say something" she asked, daring him to repeat it.

"Yup" PJ said smiling cheekily.

"Does this happen a lot" GU asked groaning.

"More times that I can count" Clarisse stated seriously, CLR face palmed.

"Anyway" I said, "Thalia was getting ready to yell at me but I told her how there were skeletons trying to kill me and Atlas was here so that kind of distracted her" I said shrugging.

"No really, I would have never thought that it would be distracting at all" Travis said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.

"So she grabbed the rest of the group and we started running when the skeletons caught up with us, I told the rest of them to run because they only wanted me but-" I was cut off again, seriously guys?

"Percy being selfless, what a surprise" Annabeth gasped, feigning shock.

"Absolutely" Hazel agreed jokingly.

"Haha" I said rolling my eyes, grinning. "Anyway Thalia shot down the idea along with Zoe saying that we were a team from now on" I said, god Zoe saying that shocked me as much as the skeletons did. "So we started to fight the skeletons, we were kinda losing but Bianca stabbed the skeleton and it burst into flames, at the time we didn't know how she did it but now we know it was because she was a daughter of Hades. So with our amazing luck, the neon lion came" I stated. The campers looked confused and the started to laugh. I furrowed my eyebrows they where supposed to gasp not laugh, what did I say I thought, confused.

"What did I say" I asked, confused.

"Percy it's the Neamen lion not the neon lion" Annabeth said, laughing. Seriously, how did I get those mixed up, considering I had met the Neamen lion I knew for a fact that it wasn't neon.

"Psh I knew that" I said, waving my hand nonchalantly.

"No you didn't" HL said, giggling, whatever I thought as I pouted.

"So we started to attack the lion but it's hide was to hard to pierce, then I had a brilliant idea-" I was cut off by Nico. "Are you kidding me will they ever stop interrupting me" I asked the sky, annoyed, it rumbled. I'm taking that as a no.

"AHHHH Percy has a plan, run for the hills."

"My plans aren't bad, they always work" I protested.

"Yeah they work but you almost get killed every time, plus most of your plans have explosions involved" Nico said, rolling his eyes.

"Awesome" TS, CS, and PJ yelled excitedly, PM, Piper, AC, Annabeth, Hazel, HL, Katie, and KG all face palmed. Well it's not my fault stuff happens to explode when I'm around, I'm an explosion magnet, I thought proudly.

"Anyway, I ran in to the gift shop and grabbed some space food, I then chucked it into the lion's mouth, that stuff is nasty" I said grimacing at the memory of the taste. "So it started to choke, the hunters shot arrows into it's mouth and then it died" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"So your saying that you defeated the Neamen lion by throwing space food down it's throat" JG asked, his eyes wide open.

"Yup" I said nonchalantly. "So I got to wear it's hide, it had turned into a fur vest, not really my style though. So anyway the skeletons came back and shot me twice in the back" I said, inwardly grinning they didn't know that the vest was bullet proof, bet I scared them I thought.

"WHAT" the past and future demigods cried looking horrified and shocked.

"But you should be dead" Frank said, wide eyed.

"Oh I forgot to mention that the vest was bullet proof" I said, smiling. Annabeth walked over and punched me in the arm, geez that girl can pack a punch. "Owww" I wined, pouting.

"That's what you get for scaring us" Annabeth scolded.

"Sorry wise girl" I said smiling and quickly pecked her on the lips, much to little in my opinion. PJ and AC were blushing and looking away, GU looked at them knowingly.

"Good luck going with them on quests, they were so oblivious it was almost painful" Grover said to GU, shaking his head.

"So we started to travel on our quest to find Artemis, we started to walk and came up on a junk yard of the gods" I said grimly, remembering Bianca's death, the campers seemed to sense my mood and the atmosphere dimmed. "The prophecy said that someone would be lost in the dry lands and we were in a desert" I stated, clenching my teeth. Nico bowed his head and clenched his hands into fists, letting out a shuttered breath. I walked up and patted Nico on the shoulder, we both felt Bianca's death heavy in our hearts. The campers looked at us and PJ and ND in worry, concern, and confusion, I felt a hand wrap around and looked up to see the comforting gaze of Annabeth. "Zoe told us not to touch anything because it might be cursed, suddenly an old, gigantic automobot stood up and started to attack us" I said, the campers winced at that. "Bianca had picked up something from the yard when we were crossing though. We started to fight the automobot and Bianca saw that it could be shut off from the inside, I tried to stop her and go instead but it was to late, she saved us but didn't make it" I said, my eyes glistened with tears and I turned into the welcoming embrace of Annabeth, burying my face in her shoulder.

It was my fault that she was gone, I should have stopped her, I should have done something! "Percy it's not your fault" Nico croaked out, Thalia had her arm wrapped around Nico, consoling him.

"NO SHE CAN'T DIE, SHE'S MY ONLY FAMILY" ND shouted, crying. "S-she can't die." AC was their in a second, wrapping her arms around him, and rubbing his back. I pulled out of Annabeth's embrace and walked over to ND, I kneeled down and looked at him.

"I know it hurts and you probably feel like your heart is being ripped out and stomped on a million times" I said, I had gone through that way many to times. "But I want you to know that you are not alone, I motioned to the rest of the demigods from the future. "I know we might not be close now but we're your family, we love you like a brother and we we'll be there for you no matter what" I said sincerely, ND smiled slightly, looking a little less pained. I stood up and the rest of the future demigods were looking at me approvingly, Nico looked a little shocked, happy, and proud, I winked at him and he shook his head.

"So back to the story, we went through the garden of...." aw man I for got again! I looked towards Grover for help, he just shrugged his shoulder, I turned to Thals but she wasn't paying attention, seriously?

Annabeth face palmed. "Seriously you guys forgot again?"

"Well it was a garden that had a tree and grew golden colored apples and was guarded by a dragon."

"Oh so the garden of Hesperides" Annabeth said.

"Yeah that's it" I exclaimed, remembering. "So Zoe distracted the dragon while we crossed and we were able to get to the mountain where Artemis was" I continued.

"Wait you forgot about how we visited Annabeth's dad" Grover added.

"You visited my dad" AC asked looking annoyed and confused.

"Yeah in the future our relationship in better, thanks to Percy" Annabeth said, smiling. I leaned over and kissed Annabeth. AC looked hopeful of her future relationship and smiled at PJ and me.

"Okay so we got to the mountain and there was Artemis, holding the sky, Atlas who was free, Annabeth who looked tired as hell, and Luke who was standing with Atlas. Artemis was holding the sky because Luke had tricked Annabeth into taking it and Artemis took it from her" I said, bitterly. Stupid Luke I thought, the campers narrowed their eyes at this. "So we ran over, Zoe started to fight Atlas, who by the way was her dad, Grover was helping Annabeth, Thalia was fighting Luke, and I took the weight of the sky from Artemis" I stated. The campers gasped and looked at us in worry. "Now that made my list of most painful things that I've ever experienced, and it's very hard to make it on there, it felt like my arms were melting, getting shredded, and stabbed multiple times, it completely drains your energy and makes you want to curl up in a ball and stay their forever" I said, wincing at the memory.

"Holy Zeus" Conner said, shell shocked, along with the rest of the campers, besides Annabeth.

Thalia's POV

Wow I knew it hurt but never this much, I felt a wave of sympathy for Annabeth and Percy fall over me. "So Artemis fought Atlas and and we both tricked him into taking the sky again" Percy continued, well he makes it sound easy I thought. "Unfortunately when Zoe was distracting the dragon it bit her, we didn't notice until after the fight, she died a hero" Percy spoke, his voice heavy with emotion, my eyes were blurred with tears. She saved us, despite how much she had hated me, Percy was right she died a hero I thought.  Nico patted my shoulder comfortingly, he was a good cousin I thought it wasn't fair that Bianca had to die, this is pretty depressing I thought sadly. "Oh I forgot, Thalia kicked Luke off the mountain" Percy added cheerfully. The campers started to cheer and I shook my head, laughing at how Percy's childish personality was back.

"Yeah but he survived" Chris said, shaking his head.

"How is that even possible" FZ asked confused, I shrugged my shoulders.

"We think Kronos might have protected him" I said. Suddenly there was a bright light and a note fell down, I bent down to grab it and started to read it out loud.

Dear demigods from the future,

We have decided that we want you to skip your fourth quest and go straight to the fifth one with the war. We did this because this in not the only time your traveling too and we have a deadline. Your next stop will be after the titan war, this is simply to warn the demigods not to let their guard down and that it's not over. Also Percy I want you to go tell your mom and Paul as well, while their gone the rest of the demigods can do whatever they want.

Were going to time travel again, woah I did not see that coming.

"Woah I did not see that coming" Jason exclaimed, weird I guess it's some weird sibling thing I thought amused.

"OH MY GODS I THOUGHT OF THE BEST PRANK IDEA" Percy yelled, I groaned as Travis and Conner whirled around to listen to his idea.

"We can wear leather jackets, Ray Bands, and combat boots and pretend to be all bad ass and scary and stuff, our future selves would be so weirded out." Is he serious, wait it's Percy of course he is.

"There's no way i'm doing that" The girls exclaimed as the guys yelled "Totally" with impish smiles on their faces, oh gods.

"Anyway, Perce start telling the story of the war" Katie said, still shaking her head at the Percy's idea.

"Okay" Percy said, rubbing his hands. "Let us begin" he said stroking his an imaginary beard.  Kelp head, somethings never change I thought amused.
