Chapter 16 Percy's Birthday

Hey guys its my birthday soon so I decided to write a special chapter on Percy's birthday, it was on August 18th :)

Annabeth's POV

I had gathered up the rest of the future demigods while Percy was distracted by stuffing himself with food. "Okay so today is Percy's birthday"  I explained to the rest of the demigods, I had the perfect plan to throw him the best birthday ever! "So I think that we should throw him and PJ a surprise party" I said smiling.

"Totally" Piper said. "That's an awesome idea!".

Cheers and "Yes's" were heard from the rest of the group.

"Okay so here's what we're gonna do" I said. "Travis and Conner, you guys have to get word out to the rest of the campers about the party without Percy or PJ finding out".

"Got it" they said saluting me and dashing off.

"Leo, you'll make Percy and PJ's gifts" I said, handing him the designs.

He quickly went through them. "These are awesome!" he exclaimed and ran off looking excited.

"Frank, Hazel, Chris, Clarisse, Nico, Katie, and Grover; decorate the pavilion for the party, banners, streamers, balloons, the whole thing, you can find most of the supplies in the big house, anything else you can ask the Hermes cabin for" I instructed. They nodded and walked away to get ready. "Piper you and me will bake and decorate the cake" I said, she nodded happily. "Jason your job is to distract Percy and keep him away from the pavilion, I don't care what you have to do just don't let him come near" I instructed.

"Got ya" Jason said and set off to find Percy, I already had GU and AC distracting PJ. Piper followed me into the kitchen.

"Okay so what kind of cake are we making?" Piper asked as she started to grab ingredients out of the pantry and fridge.

"Chocolate" I replied, grabbing coco from the pantry. We added the ingredients into the bowl and started to blend it. Piper grabbed four circular baking pans, all in different sizes.

"Why don't we make a tiered cake, it'll look cooler and will feed more people" she suggested.

"Awesome idea Pipes" I said smiling happily, Percy was going to love it!  We put the pans in the oven and started on the icing. The oven beeped and I pulled out the cakes.

"Hey Pipes, why don't we do a full out sea theme"  I asked excitedly.

"Sure, and we can cut of waves and coral, fish, and starfish pieces out of fondant" She said happily, the cake was going to look fantastic!

Jason's POV

I couldn't wait for the party, Annabeth was a genius, Percy was going to love it! "Hey Jason I need your help, it's Annabeth and I's anniversary  and I don't know what to get her" Percy exclaimed, looking frantic.

"Why don't you get her a bracelet or necklace?"

"No" he said frowning, it's not special enough." I racked my brain trying to think of something.

"How bout a locket with a picture of you guys in it, and you can get engraved if you want" I suggested.

"Jason that's brilliant your a genius" Percy exclaimed looking like a child on Christmas. "I'll go ask Leo to make one right now". I smiled. Percy seemed so happ- wait Leo was making Percy's gift right now, I thought panicking. I sprinted after Percy, he was about to open the door to the Hephaestus cabin when I body checked him, sending him sprawling.

"Hey Leo I'm here with PERCY" I yelled loudly, emphasizing Percy's name. I heard thumps and crashes from inside as Leo hurried to hide whatever he was making.

"Dude, that hurt' Percy said pouting.

"Sorry, I was running fast and stopped to late" I lied. Percy laughed and opened the door to reveal a huffing, red faced, Leo.

"Leo what were you doing" Percy chuckled.

"NOTHING" Leo practically yelled, trying to look innocent, I mentally faceplamed.

"Okaaaay" Percy said suspiciously,."Anyway can you make me a locket for Annabeth" he asked.

"Sure" Leo replied, Percy then told him his idea's about the locket and then we left.

"Okay let's go find Annabeth I wanna say hi" Percy said. No he can't find her, what am I gonna do?

"I don't know how to swim" I blurted, his eyes widened.

"YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM?" he yelled! "We're fixing that right now, grab your swim trunks and towel i'll meet you at the lake in five minutes, GO GO GO" He yelled an dashed off toward the lake. Oh gods, what have I got myself into?

Piper's POV

Annabeth and I looked at our masterpiece, it was a four tiered cake with fondant layered waves, and fondant coral, starfishes, and fish pieces going up the side of the cake (picture on the side). Suddenly the kitchen door burst open and Nico walked in. "Hey do you guys know where we can get a disco bal- AHHHHH" Nico tripped and ended up smacking a bag of flour which exploded all over Annabeth.

"NICO DIANGELO" she yelled.  I started to walk towards them, to stop anything that might happen. It all happened to fast, my foot slipped on the spilt flour and I hit the table, knocking the bowl of blue icing all over Nico and I. I stood there shocked, my  hair dripping, and dyed blue. We all looked at each other on shock before bursting out laughing. Nico was covered in blue which looked outrageous considering he only wore black, and Annabeth looked like a ghost covered in white flour.

"Okay we don't have time to change so we're just gonna have to go out like this" Annabeth said, still giggling, we were gonna get a lot of laughs. Annabeth, Nico, and I carried the cake outside and set it on one of the party tables.

"Oh my gods that looks amazing" Katie cried looking at the cake, She glanced at us before her mouth fell open and she fell into a fit of laughter, the other demigods turned to see what was so funny. Some awed at the cake while the others laughed at us, Nico took it in stride and stared strutting all over the place, bowing.

"Guys PJ's coming" Travis and Conner cried.

"He's early everybody hide" Annabeth said. PJ walked into the pavilion with AC and GU looking confused.

"SURPRISE" we all yelled, as we sprung out from our hiding places, mine being the table along with Annabeth.  PJ jumped about 5 feet in the air before breaking out in a huge smile. He practically crushed AC and GU in a hug, before coming to say hi to all of us.

"Happy birthday" Annabeth and I said as he came bye, I ruffled his hair fondly and PJ mock scowled.

"The pavilion looks amazing" PJ said, I nodded in agreement, tables of food were all along the side on a shimmering blue table cloth, blue and green streamers and balloons hung everywhere, there was a happy birthday banner with Percy and PJ's names on it, and there was even a disco ball.

"Percy's coming" Conner yelled, though he looked like he was trying not to laugh, what was that about I though as I his under the table with Annabeth.

"Jason what's going on you've been keeping me from finding Annabeth all day, I wanna see her" Percy yelled.

"No" cried Jason frantically. I looked at him and nearly burst out laughing, Jason was soaking wet, looking frantic, and was on top of Percy's shoulders trying to steer him away from the pavilion.

"Ummm let's go, uhhhhh" Jason was trying to think of something when we all burst out of our hiding places yelling "SURPRISE!" Percy jumped and Jason fell off his shoulders, groaning, I laughed and helped Jason up while Percy said hi to everyone, grinning.

"We'll that hurt, on the bright side I learn't how to swim" Jason said laughing, I shook my head at him,

"Wait why are you and Nico blue, and Annabeth looks like a ghost?" Jason asked, confused. "Annabeth and I were baking the cake and Nico walked in, and you can guess what happened" I said giggling, Jason chuckled.

Percy was staring a the cake in awe. "You guys are awesome" he yelled happily.

"I don't know which he likes more the party or the cake" Thalia muttered, shaking her head fondly. Percy turned and gave Annabeth a huge hug as PJ stuffed himself with cake, AC was watching him and shaking her head in amusement. You look like a ghost Percy said laughing.

"Blame Nico" Annabeth muttered.  Percy looked at Nico and I and started laughing so hard he started to cry.

I rolled my eyes. "It's not funny" I wined.

"Yes it is" Jason said laughing and kissed me.

"Time for gifts" Leo yelled excitedly, I walked over with Jason. PJ opened his gift first, a long, blue wrapped, box.

"OH MY GODS THIS IS AWESOME THANK YOU" PJ yelled once he saw his gift, a premium, brand new skateboard sat in the box, the underside was painted sea green, with 'Percy' written in dark blue block letters.

Percy opened his gift next, a small box wrapped in finding Nemo wrapping paper. "THIS IS AWESOME" Percy yelled.

"You haven't even opened it yet" PM pointed out. Gods I will never get used to seeing my past self.

"I know but I love finding nemo" Percy cried, it's surprising to think that he's eighteen sometimes. He opened the box and his smile was blinding, inside was a clay bead with 'seaweed brain' and 'wise girl' painted on it in sea green, and a trident painted in silver. Percy was quick to string it on to his necklace.

"Okay so I also have something for you wise girl since it's our anniversary" Percy announced and handed Annabeth a small box wrapped in sliver wrapping paper. Jason gave me a knowing look and I raised my eyebrow, he probably knew what it was. Annabeth opened it and gasped, I couldn't help but awe at the locket inside, it was golden with the words 'Percy and Annabeth' engraved on it and a picture of the two of them kissing on the beach. The future campers looked at me weirdly and JG was teasing PM.

"It's my moms influence" I protested, it was just so darn cute though!

"PARTY TIME PEOPLE" Leo yelled, LV started hollering. I laughed, sure we had a giant war to worry about, but right now it was time to party!
