âYou can wash up in the bathroom,â he told her as they drew apart. Ava nodded; she couldnât find her voice. She pulled down her dress and walked on wobbly legs Into the bathroom. She ran the water in the sink and cleaned herself and washed out her mouth. All the while she was trying to understand her own feelings. She had enjoyed herself, more then she had enjoyed her previously, rather more Innocent, experiences with her exes. Ava had thought that when Zane would enforce the sexual part of their agreement, she would have to bite down and force herself to do it. But she had been more than willing. He had been rough and demanding, but still respectful of her. There was no question he knew he was doing, he was a skilled lover. It confused her. She needed to think about what this meant, but not now, in his bathroom, In his office. It had to go in the pile of things she needed to think about later. She made sure she looked presentable and walked out to sit on his couch again, wondering if this was it for the evening, or if he would demand something more. At this point, Ava wasnât sure which scenario she was hoping for.
Zane sat behind his desk in his office at the mansion and tried to focus on the report he was reading. Try, being the operative word. His eyes kept drifting over to Ava, sitting in a chair to his left, reading something on her phone that had her frowning. He sighed and turned back toward the screen in front of him. His mind drifted to last night. The taste of her on his tongue, the feel of her mouth as she pleasured him. The way she had made him cum from a simple blowjob was new to him. He had craved more, to take things further with his angel. He wanted to make her his in every way. But he also feared the feeling. There was a part of himself waring him she could end up being his ultimate addiction. If there was one thing Zane had learned from being around drugs most of his life, it was how to spot an addiction a mile away. He also knew to avoid it at all costs. The only way to do that was to limit your intake. So, he had spent the rest of the night trying to work. They had driven home, and he had made sure she got to bed, alone. This morning they had eaten breakfast, and he had asked her to join him in his office. To be honest, he had ordered her to join him in the office for the day. He had realised yesterday that he enjoyed her company. She minded her own business and let him work in peace. But when he asked her something or needed anything, she was quick to respond.
âZane?â she suddenly asked, pulling him out of his thoughts.
âYes.â
âSorry to bother you when youâre worlding, but I have a question,â she apologised, not knowing his mind had been far from work.
âItâs okay, ask it,â he told her.
âWill you need me all day tomorrow as well?â she asked. The question irritated Zane more then he wanted to admit. He didnât like the idea she couldnât stand being around him, not when he craved her company.
âWhy?â he asked.
âI have some errands I need to run,â she explained.
âAnother shopping spree?â he asked with a crooked smile.

âOh no, I have quite enough clothes for a long while,â she said, absentmindedly tugging on the hem of the sweater she 00 was wearing, Zane liked the sweater almost as much as he had liked the dress she had worn yesterday. The front was
sade of some knitted material in a soft illac colour which sulted her. The sleeves were made of a lace fabric which let him see her arms. What he found to be the biggest turn on was the back where the lace had draped down her sides, meeting at the centre of her lower back. A small string holding it all together at her neck. She seemed to like the bare back detall, and Zane had to admit he enjoyed it as well. It was like a whisper of a promise of what lay beneath the fabric. It also let him know she wasnât wearing a bra. Together with the distressed Jeans that hugged her hips, ass, and legs, she looked amazing and sexy.
He forced himself to stop ogling her and try to follow her conversation.
âSo what do you need, then?â
âI need to see a lawyer and I need to buy some planks and fix the front steps on the house.â Why did she need a lawyer? Was she trying to get out of their contract? He wouldnât let that happen. He wasnât finished with her yet.
Why do you need a lawyer? And why the fuck would you fix the steps on your own?â he asked, a little more aggressively than he intended.
âSomeone needs to fix the steps before they break and Injure someone. I canât afford to hire a professional to do it, so Iâll do it myself,â she explained, looking down at her hands as if she didnât like to admit it.
âAnd the lawyer?â She looked up at him. Zane could see that she was calculating if she should tell him or not. She better tell him, or he would have to show her what happened when she hid things from him.
âSpencer warned me about my uncle and aunt. He said they werenât happy when he went to get my things. It got me thinking. If Iâm to live here for now, no one is looking after my house. I donât want them to try to do something which will cause me to lose It. I need to talk to someone that can tell me what my options are,â she finally told him. Zane nodded. He needed to talk to Spencer to let him know he should have told Zane about this. But he understood Avaâs need to protect her assets. He was surprised she hadnât done so before. But then, she was innocent and trusting. He found himself hating the fact that bringing her into his life would rob her of that Innocence. Zane frowned. Hadnât that been the whole idea? He thought. Hadnât he craved to corrupt her, to show her the true side of people? When had that changed? Instead of answering his own questions, he picked up the phone and dialled.
âJohn, I need you to come to the mansion tomorrow. I have a new client for you. We will expect you by ten,â he told John Harris, the lawyer who took care of the organisationâs legal needs. He hung up and dialled again. âBoris, I have a job for you. A house I need you and your boys to assess the outside of and fix any issues you will find, no budget. Just get it done as soon as possible. I will send you the address and the details,â Zane said. Ava looked at him in shock as he put his phone down.
Zane, I canât ask you to do that for me,â she said.
You didnât. Angel, letâs get one thing straight. You are mine, and as long as you are mine, I will make sure you get what you need. I donât give a fuck if thatâs a new dress, or a lawyer or new steps on your god dammed house,â he told her.

âWhat are they saying to make you frown like that?â
âNothing really, he is Just Insisting on organising a farewell party for me,â she admitted.
âHe? A boyfriend? Zane asked, hating how many emotions that stirred Inside of him and how angry he sounded. Ava looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
âDo you think I would have signed that contract if I had a boyfriend?â
âNo,â he responded in an instant. He didnât have to think about it. He knew enough about her to know that she would never betray someone she let close to her.
âThatâs right,â she nodded. âJames is just a doctor I worked with. He heard I quit and wonât take no for an answer when it comes to this party,â she added.
âShould I send some of the men to make him back off?â Zane asked. Ava looked at him with surprise.
âNo, that isnât necessary. I will just tell him no again and block him if he continues. I donât need to see him again, so it will work just as well,â she said. Zane grunted and nodded. He didnât like the passive solution, but it was Avaâs decision to make. There was a knock on the door and Anna walked in with one of the staff, carrying trays of lunch for him and
