A word of warning, the end of this chapter may be a little disturbing but it's not how I really feel. It just serves as a conflict in the story. Oh and any comments on what you think would be cool. Questions too but I promise to elaborate a little bit more on the dragon politics in the next chapter.

Kalli's POV

I watch Morgan crawl and chuckle to myself. The day was going great and other than my friend's struggle with Amkay it was rather fantastic. I know how I sound so be nice a don't judge. Zicko even carried me up the stairs which was surprising. His one action made me so happy thus my current reason for being happy. I watch as the boys gather around in a circle while me and my friends are welcome to wander around. I go to the deck outside. It is quite a distance from the others but I was intrigued by it when I first saw this place. I go to the ledge and cautiously look over. We are so high up that most of the trees are 5 feet below us. I marvel at the view and feel as if another world exists above the tree line. I close my eyes and feel a quick breeze brush past me. I think it is one of the guys and ignore it.

"What were you guys talking about?" I ask.

"How I am going to capture you and make life hell for Zicko. Say goodbye to your love." Says a deep voice.

I open my eyes and don't recognize the guy standing next to me. I open my mouth to scream but he clasps a hand over it and pulls me roughly into his embrace and jumps off the side. He changes into a small dragon and flies away from the group. I am screaming and can barely breathe with the speed we are going. Zicko! Please save me!

Zicko's POV

I am talking with the others about how we should reveal our brothers to the girls. I feel Kalli walk around the house and her feelings about our home. I smile inwardly when she becomes comfortable enough to let me feel what she feels. I embrace her happiness and send warmth to her. Almost immediately she sends back her energy, even though she is not aware she is doing it.

"I know that some of you have already shown your brother to your mate but all of us need to do it so we can teach them about our different clans. This way when they are made our mates they will know about our alliance and what powers we posses." Enway says.

He thinks through the diplomatic effects and keeps on the side of right. We haven't really discussed in a while what our threats are. We have been a little preoccupied by our mates that we hadn't talked about the dark clans. We haven't had any conflicts with them in a while but it was starting to get suspicious without any attacks.

"We need to talk about the dark clans and probably send some scouts out to keep up on what they are doing." I say.

The others faces became serious. They knew that our paradise had come to an end but we have to keep this from our mates for a little while. I block my mate bond so I could focus on politics. What I haven't said is that our clans will develop magic abilities when we bond with our mates. So this new power will put us in the lead in the war against those that want to see bloodshed for no other reason than power in fear. I get pulled from my thoughts by a funny pulling feeling. I look around and see most of our mates are running around looking for something. What are they doing?

"Zicko! Help us find Kalli she isn't here!" Shouts Lina.

I open my bond and feel emptiness. My heart rips painfully, what is going on. I shoot to my feet and sprint to the balcony. She is no longer here.

"Kalli! Where are you?!" I shout.

I am hoping she only got lost in the house and is looking for one of us. The other guys stand to help me search. But no one finds her. I feel a blinding rage surface and have enough time to get outside before I shift. My brother releases a furious roar that scares some of the girls but we don't care. All I can see is red and it blinds me to rationality.

Where is our mate?!

My brother is not happy.  I race off trying to scent her in the air or at least the scent of the person who took her. It takes me about two seconds to realize that there are no scents anywhere. Whoever this person was they knew what they were doing and it would take me longer to find Kalli. I tamp my anger down and fly back to our house. The pain I feel is enough to cripple me and I feel like feeding the monster that I can be. It has been ten years since I have used that side but the person who took my mate deserves it. As I change back I collapse to the ground and cry. They are body wracking sobs and I feel useless. The guys surround me and I feel a small bit of normalcy.

Unknown's POV

I will start my revenge now. I look at the girl I stole earlier. She is cowering in the hole our clan built. Maybe I should tell you a little about me and my clan. First off all we want to accomplish is the ultimate demise of humans and all the sympathizers. Their blood will spill by our hands and the dragons will once again be gods on Earth. So back to the hole. It is a place we put all of our sacrifices and they never come back out. We have captured Zicko's weakness so now he will be vulnerable to our attack. What we do now is make sure that Kalli experiences the most painful torture and when we capture Zicko we will kill her in the most demeaning way possible. I look forward to starting tomorrow, I take pride in being the one elected to torture Kalli.

"Good night sacrifice. I only hope that your body becomes numb quickly or else these next few days will  be a living hell for you. Oh and before I forget you can call me Lucifer, and the next three days will be your last."

She stands up and spits at me. I admire her tenacity but it will be wasted on a weak race so she must die. Only the strongest survive in our society and only the pure will breed the next generation.
