Zicko's POV

I see everyone looking at their mates. I don't want to keep the secret anymore but I know that I have to in order to keep her by my side. I restrained running up to her and burying her body within mine. My eyes tingled and it told me to look away. But I could not. She is mine and I will never let her leave me. I stop right in front of her. She smiles and leans in close. She whispers in my ear and my blood runs cold.

"What are you?" she asks.

"What do you mean?" I reply.

'Your eyes were glowing so brightly when you saw me. But that's not all I have seen. You and your friends are the same thing, whatever that is, and I want to know. I promise to still like you afterwards." She says.

"Come with me."

I pull her into the woods. She is laughing which I think is a good sign but at this point I am just nervous at what she will do when I tell her the truth.

"I will tell you everything. But please don't leave me. I don't think I could handle that."

Kalli's POV

My heart stutters. His face is twisted in pain and his eyes scream at me to never leave. I fall for him even more. I want to hug him but he is keeping distance for some reason.

"When I say this you can't run away." He says.

Why would I run? I nod and he continues.

"I am part of the Japanese clan of dragons. My brother is my dragon half and at the age of six. His name is Opirien. Please don't leave me."

I laugh and hug him. This is the coolest thing ever!

"I won't leave you Zicko. You and your brother are so cool. I have wanted something like this to happen since I was little. I love you too much to care about the downsides." I say.

Wait! Did I just say I loved him?! I look back up at his face and see he is smiling like the devil himself.

"You love me?" He asked.

As if he didn't hear me the first time. I walk off pretending to be annoyed. He runs after me and casually walks next to me. He takes my hand and we walk to the others. I smile and think of the progress we made today. Now I know how much he cares for me. And now he has to know to because I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I wanted to make him sweat a little bit but now he has the upper hand. The others were waiting patiently and I knew my future would get more interesting with everyone beside me.

Unknown POV

I watch silently. Knowing my opportunity to strike will be when they all bond with their mates and are still weak from the strenuous ritual. I should know since I am one of them. I have waited ten years and a few more days won't be too much longer to carry out my plan. I think I will start with Zicko's girl to try to get to him first and then win the title of King. I stand to leave when the girl's eyes look this way. She frowns at seeing me and I smile at her. Little does she know that she doesn't have much longer to live. Enjoy him while you can.
