Finax's POV

Get up lazy. I want to stretch my wings NOW!

Your so bossy. I was planning to get up anyway. My dragon is a reflection of me. And for some reason he is the only reason for me to keep living, except now I have Lina and she keeps my heart beating for another reason. My childhood was ok but I am considered to be a living-dead person. It all started when I was five.

FLASHBACK

I looked at the black egg that was my brother. Me and my brother were two days apart. I was born with a birth defect and had spent my first two years in the hospital. I didn't have enough blood and I was considerably underweight. But now I am okay and have no further plans to be that helpless. The shell started to crack and I looked at my parents. They were worried for me but I was going to be fine. I will fight to come back to them. Normally we go through the change when children are the age of sixteen so that they are stronger and able to handle the electric jolt of joining power. My brother is now free of his egg and he is looking at me with pride.

Hello Finax, my name Xerwan. You are very strong. I think I will like you very much.

I like my brother a lot. He makes me laugh. My mother and father each take my hands and walk me to our ceremony circle. I walk in with my brother and we face the elder who waits on the outside.

"Finax Klostermann, and dragon Xerwan, please begin the bonding process."

We only had one more thing to do and that was to connect our powers. I was nervous but knew I had to do this. I slowly reached out. My brother reached out halfway. As mine was about to connect our soul bond snapped and I cried out. My power was drawn back into me and only our minds could connect. My brother roared in the pain he felt for me. I was paralyzed and I crumpled to the ground. There was so much pain. My spine had been snapped in the break and could barely think. I reached my power out and connected them quickly. My brother looked surprised that I could continue the bonding. He smiled and reconnected our souls. That was when I passed out. I woke up later in my bed surrounded by my family. You gave me quite a scare. I had to reform your backbone and your soul was very strong that it had no damage. I also repaired your ruptured lungs. For the trouble I made your spine infused with steel and carbon fiber elements. So it will be light but very strong. I thanked him. Then looked at my parents. They were crying but smiled brightly when I looked at them. They embraced me within their hug and I knew I would be ok.

END OF FLASHBACK

I smile whenever I think about that time. It may have been the worst time but I became stronger from it. I felt my heart pinch and knew that it was because I missed Lina. She is my light in a dark tunnel and I don't know if I will ever survive if she doesn't except me. I want to tell her today but an too scared of her rejection. Am I enough for her?
