Chapter 491 Are You Going to Leave Me Alone?
Josh couldnât help but ask, âHave you never thought about our future?â
After a momentâs worth of contemplation, Luna suddenly asked Josh, âHave you ever thought. about how I felt when I was wrongly accused? Have you considered my unhappiness when I was forced to resign from L. Moon?â
Her words left Josh speechless.
It turned out that Luna had never truly forgiven Kelly.
âYou could have told me that you didnât post the video. Iâve been investigating all along. Why couldnât you wait?â He countered Luna.
Luna snorted coldly before retorting, âDo you think Iâm the kind of person who swallows grievances, Josh? Iâve done my best by not retaliating against her on the spot, for your sake.â
âIâll come over to talk to you properly,â Josh said before promptly ending the call.
When Abigail arrived at the office and saw the scratches on Lunaâs face, she immediately sent her assistant to buy some medicine.
âWhat happened?â Abigail sat beside her, concern written all over her face.
âIâve been smearing Kelly online for several days. She found out today, and we had a quarrel,â Luna said with a smile.
âSince youâre together with Josh now, why bother with these things? Canât you let it go?â Abigail frowned, looking genuinely distressed.
Lunaâs gaze carried a touch of coldness. âI just canât let this go. Josh said heâd investigate, but how much progress has he made? Doesnât he know how wronged I feel for being falsely accused? I want to return to L. Moon, but I canât do that until this matter has been resolved.â
Abigail hugged her and gently patted her back. âIt doesnât matter when you want to return; L.. Moon will always welcome you with open arms and have your back.â
âWhatever. L. Moon is currently on the rise. I wonât risk returning now. If things donât work out with Josh today, Iâll break up with him and go back to Pendorf. Iâm tired of all this, Luna whispered to Abigail.
She believed that after the way she treated Kelly today, Kelly would soon come to her senses about her aim all along.
Luna didnât understand who was backing Kelly behind the scenes, but those people kept 13 tarnishing L. Moonâs reputation. She felt she needed to distance herself as soon as possible.
Abigail released her and looked into her eyes. âAre you going to leave me alone here in Capitalis?â
âIâll still help you with work, but I really want to return to Pendorf, Luna said, her eyes filled. with determination.
Abigail knew her mind was made up. So, she nodded and replied, âThen, go. However, youâd better visit me often.â
Luna squeezed her hand and smiled. âPlanes make it easy. Iâll definitely come to see you from time to time. Donât worry.â
Abigail nodded.
Josh arrived shortly after, and to Abigailâs surprise, Sean came with him.
âWhy are you here?â Abigail looked displeased the moment she saw him.
Sean was Kellyâs fiancé now. Now that it was clear that Kelly and Luna were having a tiff, wasnât he just causing more trouble by making this trip?
âWhy do you think?â Sean met her gaze before turning his attention to Luna.
When Kelly informed him, he had gone to the Pearsonsâ house and found Kelly in a sorry state. She had lost a lot of hair and had numerous scratches on her body.
Furthermore, Luna had been tirelessly smearing Kelly online. She even intentionally edited videos to suggest that he and Abigail were a couple. Each time Kellyâs reputation took a hit, she quickly followed up with another attack, trying to paint Kelly as an ignorant woman.
In todayâs world, where girls were becoming more independent, the image of a delicate and ignorant woman was indeed unappealing. Nowadays, it wasnât a compliment anymore.
Nevertheless, Lunaâs motive for doing all this to get back at Kelly didnât align with her character at all.
Josh was mad at Luna, but he believed she was genuinely wronged.
âLuna, apologize to my sister. My dad said everything would be fine then. Iâll definitely investigate the camera situation. I wonât let you down. How about it, okay?â Josh tried to keep himself composed and not make her feel worse.
âI wonât apologize. Do you think she didnât hurt me?â Luna exposed her neck and face, showing him the marks. âI scratched her arm because the housekeeper insisted on pulling me. If the housekeeper hadnât pulled me, I wouldnât have hurt her. You can check the 2/3 surveillance cameras.â
âStill.. youâve been continuously smearing her online... Sean is already engaged to her. By posting those videos, youâre only making her feel worse,â Josh said gently.
âYeah, so what if she feels bad? Thatâs what Iâm happy about. She threatened Sean with L. Moon. Would Sean still be with her if she didnât? Sheâs just asking for trouble! We didnât know each other, but she went behind our backs to harm us. She even forced me to leave L. Moon. Why should I let her off?â Luna argued loudly with Josh.
âLuna-â
âAbigail, donât bother trying to persuade me. Josh always talks about investigating our situation, but whatâs the use? The Pearsons said that even if she created a huge mess, theyâd clean it up for her as they had the means. So, even if he investigates, whatâs the point? In the end, heâll just ask me to forgive her,â Luna said with a voice full of frustration.
Just as Josh was about to speak, Sean interjected resolutely, âLunaâs right. Ever since Kelly first provoked L. Moon, itâs always L.
Moon at a disadvantage. What has she lost in all of this?â
