Chapter 64.1. Masatoshi Meets The Heroine

Time rewinds a bit. It was shortly before the scissors mantis appeared.

Aguni Masatoshi, the eldest son of a duke, the highest title in the Japanese Magic Empire, was enjoying his 10 year old’s debut party in the party hall of the imperial castle, where only high-ranking nobles are allowed.

The 10 year old’s unveiling party, hosted by the emperor, is said to be a luxurious and gorgeous party. The food served at the party hall in the commoner section and the party hall in the garden of the lower nobility section is delicious, diverse, and great.

However, the party in the castle is of a far different caliber. Starting with the meat dish of the rarely caught High Horned Bear Shark, there is an array of dishes based on ingredients people normally cannot buy even if they have a lot of money, such as caviar of Flying Super Shark, flame mushrooms, and platinum truffles. Unlike butterfly sharks, flying super sharks are said to be extremely strong monsters.

They were having a good time. Masatoshi would like to think so.

“We were born at the same age. What do you think about forming a clan of our own?

As usual, the cronies were talking to each other in their usual lackey-like manner. Both men and women are sycophants, but…

She smiles happily, and the air around her becomes warm and relaxed. Masatoshi looks at the other, impressed that she’s a heroine just by that smile.

The one who approached him was Genshin Sena. She’s the emperor’s daughter. She is the only imperial princess in the royal family. Masatoshi knew that her brothers adored her.

Her silver hair, which reached down to her waist and looked like platinum. Her eyes were as red as rubies. She has a beautiful face like a goddess, where prettiness and beauty coexist. She wears a jeweled platinum tiara and a glittering dress befitting an imperial princess. She’s a specialist in recovery magic and plays the heroine role in The Night of Magic with her polite manner, gentle personality, and somewhat mischievous.

She’s also a person whose state of mind is described by others besides the main character, and Masatoshi feels reassured. He vaguely thought that a character whose mental state is only slightly portrayed shouldn’t have the same image as the original, so Seina was a partner he could feel at ease with, just like the main character.

In the original story, she was an in-between character who somehow was not there every time the plot needed recovery magic. Well, that was the fault of the original author, so he doesn’t care.

“From now we are going to be at a lot of parties, aren’t we?”

Standing next to Sena is Shin. Kanna Shin. The original The Night of Magic’s main character. For some reason, he’s standing next to Sena. What happened to his fiancé? He wants to escort he, but he knows she’s stuck at home with the mumps.
