Chapter 27: The Queen is coming

Cara's POV

I hate to inform you all but my husband has gone batshit crazy.

Well I mean he is crazy before but now he is in another level.

Blake came home the other day acting suspicious. I know there is something wrong when he did not ask for a midnight snack.

Charlie even ask me discretely if we need to call the doctor when Blake inform us after dinner that he will sleep early.

I got more worried when I woke up the next day and Blake was awake before me.

I tried asking him what was wrong but he did not answer my question. He assures me that he is okay and just quietly resumes his work.

Since Blake was not cooperating I call James.

"Rosen-Hower Corporation. This is Scott can I help you?"

"Hi Scott. I am Cara wife of Mr. Bradford."

" Mrs. Bradford goodmorning. Can I assist you with anything?"

"Is there anyway I can talk to James?"

"I'll check Mr. Rosen-Hower's schedule ma'am. Just a minute."

"Hello Mrs. Bradford? I am sorry for making you wait. Mr. Rosen-Hower has  a free 5 minute now before his next meeting. I' ll transfer your call right now."

"Rosen-Hower."

"James it's Cara."

"Hey Cara. Do you finally decides to divorce Blake?"

I chuckle and replied "Not yet. I just want to ask if you know why Blake was acting strange?"

"Ah. Because My Ella and I will go to your house tomorrow for a sleepover." I can hear an underlying contempt on James voice but maybe it's just my imagination.

"You mean he's nervous?"

"He did not eat?" James asked.

"Yes. When he did not ask for any midnight snacks I know immediately there is something wrong."

"Tonight be ready because Blake will be demanding so just be patient and reassure him that everything will be fine."

"Ok. Thank you James! Oh wait does Ella prefer any food."

"My Ella loves food so any dish will be fine just cook food enough for 10 people and you'll be fine. See you."

For 10 people? Don't tell me Ella has a blackhole on her stomach  like her brother?

James was right. When Blake arrived he just changed his clothes and demands all the staff to meet him in the living room.

All the staff lined up in front of Blake.

Five maids, 5 male servers, 2 chef, Charlie, 3 Gardener. His 10 main guards that are graciously provided by James to Blake.

"Listen up everyone. My sister will stay here for 2 days. They will arrive tomorrow. I want every nook of this house to be cleaned thoroughly."

I can see that our staffs silently nodded.

"If something goes wrong I am not the one you should be worried about it is James because my sister is his girlfriend. Understood."

Now our staff has a horrified expression on their faces. Just the mention of James name everyone runs for the hills.

"Go." Our staff hurriedly do their assigned task.

I follow Blake when he grab his keys and went outside.

"Where are you going?"

"I'll buy some furnitures for Ella's room. Come on Cara I need your opinion."

I shrugged my shoulders and enter Blake's Tesla.

We arrive in front a posh Furniture store.

Seriously it has it's own valet.

When we entered a suit clad attendant entertain us.

"Goodafternoon Mr. Bradford. What can I help you with?"

"I want a 4 poster bed with canopy, a big closet and a vanity."

"Certainly sir."

Blake meticulously choose everything for Ella's room. It's all in Pink and purple.

"I want the softest Bedding that you have."

They brings out 5 sets of beddings for Ella's massive bed.

When it was time to pay Blake drops 100k for all.

I almost fainted and I am not even the one who'll pay for it.

Blake just gave them his Black card and the attendant happily swipes it.

I went out of that shop dazed. I mean sure it's for his sister but heck we can get those things for half the price in IKEA.

While we are driving home Blake asked.

"Do you think Ella will like it?"

"Are you kidding me Blake? Your sister will not just like it. She will love it!"

Blake sighs and smiles. "I hope so. I want her to be happy Cara."

I hold Blake's hand and squeezed it. "She will Blake. Trust me."

Blake squeezed back and kiss the back of my hand.

Surprisingly the furnitures arrived at the same time as us.

We organized Ella's room. It looks like a princess room.

I love everything. I hope Ella will love it.

At midnight Blake cameback to our room after rechecking everything.

"You need to sleep Blake. You'll need your energy for tomorrow."

Blake sighs beside me. "I can't Cara. I am feeling nervous and excited at the same time."

"Me too Blake. I promise everything will be fine."

Blake encircle his arms around my body. I rub his back gently to urge him to sleep. After I am sure that Blake was already asleep that's the time I sleep.

-the next day-

I woke up without Blake sleeping beside me.

I freshen up and when I went down I can hear Blake's voice.

"I want all the food heated. I don't think that crepe is enough. Add another 10."

All the staffs are rushing doing some last minute preparations.

''Goodmorning Amore."

Blake kissed my lips and forehead.

"Everything is ready?" I ask.

"Yes. They are almost here. James called me that they are a little bit late because of spongebob."

"Spongebob?" I skeptically asked.

Blake just shrugged his shoulders.

We went out of the house and wait for Ella and James at the front door.

I was surprise when 3 black SUV came and maybe 15 suited man came out.  This unknown suit clad men immediately spreads out to our whole property. I look at Blake if he finds it unusual that unknown men are sweeping are whole property.

"They are James guard Amore so relax."

"Why?" I ask bewildered.

Blake looks down and seriously said "Amore you should understand how important Ella was to me and especially to James. He will do everything to protect Ella even it means to bring a whole fleet of highly trained guards whenever they goes out of James estate. You should know how many guards James bring whenever they are out in public. My sister's oblivious about everything so she didn't notice anything unusual."

One word. "Wow"

A bulky man stand beside me and I saw him press his ear piece and said in a  serious voice.

"The Queen is coming."

Shit.
