Chapter 21: Planning

Blake's POV

Did I hear James right?

He is planning a date and he wants us to give him ideas?

Cara clears her throat and says "Well to plan a date we need to know first her personality, her likes and dislikes."

James lean back on his seat and starts to describe the girl with a faraway look

"Her name is Ella. She is weird, socially awkward-"

Wait is he insulting her? I don't think you describe the woman you are wooing as weird and socially awkward.

"Beautiful, thoughtful, sweet. She loves to eat and her mind is like a child. Innocent and pure. She is small. She only reach my chest. She is petite. She wear those cute eyeglasses. She is blind as shit but I don't mind. I'll be her eyes and her guide through the darkness."

What the fuck? Cara and I look at each other in disbelief. James is fucking in love with this girl even before the first date!

I thought James type are those tall, sexy, smart independent woman. I am wrong. He likes the opposite. I swear this is the first time I heard James say "cute". I should have recorded this.

Cara stare at James thoughtfully.

"James." She calls him to get his attention because my motherfucking bestfriend was still in La La land imagining his obsession.

After calling his name several times. James finally goes back to reality.

"I am sorry Cara did you say something?"

"Yes she's been calling your name for 5 minutes straight. If your mind is here on earth with us you'll probably hear her but no you are already in dreamland probably imagining Rated R scenes with Ella."

"My thoughts are all pure Blake." James said indignantly.

"Suuuurre." I don't believe him.

"I have an idea James." Cara started.

James eagerly lean on the table.

Wow this the first time I saw James excited and eager that doesn't involve math or destroying someones life.

"Since you said that she is socially awkward it means she is shy so why don't you find a secluded spot and set up a candle lit dinner of some sorts with different kinds of food since you said she loves eating and then set up like an outside cinema."

I like her idea. I conclude that Cara should plan all our date. She is much better on planning those things.

Me? The best I can do is bring her to an eat all you can buffet and call it a date.

James nodded and lean on his chair.

"I like your idea. Maybe not candle lit since she might burn herself. I'll just use those lights that you hang. What is it called?"

"Fairy lights." I answered.

Cara and James look at me weirdly.

"What?! They look cute okay! I saw it on Pinterest!" I explained.

"I don't even want to know how you know Pinterest Blake." Cara said.

"Anyway I'll list the menu that she might like and I'll cook it for her. I'll just tell her Giaccomo cooked it because she might be force to eat it even if it taste bad if she learned I am the one who cooked our meal."

"Maybe you can add those animated films James on your list for the movie." I suggested.

James nodded and proceeds to jot it down on his notepad? When did he even bring that shit out?

Am I in Blue's clues?

Hey I love that show. Don't judge.

"Now where will I set it up."

"You own a 20 acre estate James here in New York and don't forget different properties all over the world choose one!" I said exasperated.

"I think your estate here in New York is much better James. Since your property is vast you can set it all up without any hassle."

James nodded and once again wrote it down on his handy dandy notebook.

Wait.

Did I just call his notepad handy dandy notebook?

Great.

James close his notepad  and stand up.

"Thank you for your help Cara I appreciate it."

"Hey! I help too!" I protested.

"Uhuh. Sure Blake."

James was leaving when Cara calls him again. "Wait James when is your date?"

"Tomorrow. Bye!"

Cara gapes at James and looks at me.

"Can he set that up in such a short notice?"

"Of course. Sweetheart James has so many staffs. Just his guards alone can set that all up in 5 hours. I bet as he goes back to his house his goons are already buying all the things that he needed. "

"Good for him I suppose."

Our dinner was cold now because of James interruption. The staff offered to reheat it but I decline. Too much hassle on their part and I am starving already I can not wait that long because I might die of hunger.

I am waiting for James to call me. I am dying to know everything about his date but the weekend has passed and still no call.

I try to call his phone but it is out of reach. Maybe he is busy. I'll call again later.

Last night I turned off the phone of Cara. I want her to rest today. She deserves it. She got sick for a week then on top of that she is managing our wayward employees.

She definitely needs a rest.

Jane entered my office and was asking about the papers that she sends to my house yesterday to sign.

I realize I left it at my study. I call Charlie to ask someone to bring it to the office. Charlie assured me that it will be delivered in 15 minutes.

As I was waiting for the papers that I asked. I heard a commotion outside my office.

I did not go out. Jane can handle it.

Jane entered my office unsurely and  she was flustered.

"Sir There is a woman outside claiming as your -"

Suddenly a woman wearing a form fitting black dress partnered with pearl necklace. She is wearing a wide brim hat on her head and an oversize sunglasses covering half of her face barges inside my office.

I did not recognize Cara at all.

Cara sauntered to my desk and lean in for a kiss which I give to her automatically.

Cara stand up straight and with a sweet silky voice Cara said.

"Honey I am sorry to disturb you but Charlie told me you forgot these documents. Since I am already going out I told him I'll bring it to you.

"Thank you sweetheart." I can not see the eyes of Cara but I know theres a mischievous look in her eyes right now.

Jane was gaping at us. Maybe she though Cara was an apparition.

"Jane this is my wife. You can call her Mrs. Bradford. She can come to my office anytime. I will not recieve any  meetings if my wife is inside my office  Reschedule my meetings if needed. Understood?"

"Ye-Yes Mr. Bradford " Jane answered.

Cara daintily hand the documents to Jane and said "Nice to meet you Jane."

Cara looks at me and said with an underlying venom on her voice. "Since I have nothing to do and I am on forced day off  I'll be going out with my friends. Bye love."

Cara turns around and saunter out of my office. Jane goes out of my office still dazed and close my door

Wait Cara has friends?

I thought her friends are only team CARAmel and James?

My thoughts got interrupted when my phone suddenly rings.

James Calling
