Chapter 275: Kissing Video
Dad, Stay Away from My Mom
As he spoke, he handed the video to Sofia.
Sofia watched the video of Zachary and Seraphina, her emotions bubbling over with jealousy.
She knew this video was enough to prove Zachary's love for Seraphina.
Her eyes gleamed with a plan as she turned to Allan and said, "Send me the video. I know exactly what to do with it."
She intended to use the video to get back at Seraphina, planning to show it to Della later and ruin Seraphina and Zachary's relationship.
Allan hesitated but couldn't refuse Sofia, so he sent it to her.
Sofia watched the video repeatedly, growing angrier each time, but the thought of Zachary's imposing presence made her too scared to confront Seraphina for now.
She couldn't help but marvel: Zachary was a man who could make women fall for him with his charm and fear him with his authority, making them love and fear him at the same time.
Back in her room, Seraphina sat on the bed, hugging her knees, lost in a sea of guilt and self-blame.
She was about to return and see Della again.
She knew she had to stay away from Zachary to prevent any harm from coming to Della.
Lost in her thoughts, she even forgot about dinner.
Knox came to knock on her door, calling her to dinner. Seeing her red eyes, he asked with concern, "Seraphina, have you been crying? Did Mr. Baker bully you?"
"No, don't jump to conclusions," she said weakly, waving her hand.
"You got caught in the rain. Mr. Baker had the cafeteria chef make some fish soup for you. Drink it while it's hot," Knox said, placing the tray on the table with concern.
"I'm not hungry. Take it away. I just want to rest," Seraphina said feebly.
"Alright, rest well," Knox said, walking to the door. He turned back to see Seraphina covering her head with the blanket.
After Knox left, Seraphina felt parched, her whole body aching, and her cheeks burning. She touched her forehead and realized she might have a fever, thinking she could sweat it out by sleeping.
Knox returned to the dining hall and noticed Zachary hadn't come either. Everyone speculated they might have had a fight.
Remembering Seraphina's unusual behavior, Knox felt a pang of worry, planning to inform Zachary after dinner.
After dinner, Knox went to Zachary's room and knocked, but there was no answer.
He asked around and learned that Zachary had gone to discuss matters with the main team, so he put it aside and went to the meeting room to work.
At this time, the information about the lipstick had been posted on the dark web trading center, causing various reactions. Seraphina's crisis was gradually being resolved, but it still needed some time, so she couldn't leave the camp yet.
After finishing his work, Knox checked the time. It was almost ten at night. He hurried back to see if Zachary had returned so he could inform him about Seraphina's possible illness.
Seraphina was in her room, burning with a high fever, too weak to call for help, shivering and curled up under the blanket.
Zachary had just returned to his room when Knox rushed over. "Mr. Baker, I think Seraphina is sick. She didn't eat the dinner I brought her, and later, when I knocked, there was no answer."
Zachary's heart sank. He quickly put down his cup and rushed to Seraphina's door. After knocking several times without a response, he shouted to Knox, "Get the spare key!"
Knox hurried to the security office to get the key. A few minutes later, Zachary opened the door and pulled back the blanket to find Seraphina's face flushed, her complexion pale, and her body covered in sweat. He touched her forehead and found it burning hot. He urgently told Knox, "Go notify the medical room!"
He held the feverish and delirious Seraphina tightly in his arms. Although she was barely conscious, she instinctively tried to push him away, weakly muttering, "Let go of me, let go... I'm hot..."
Her voice was faint and hoarse.
Zachary's heart ached. He held Seraphina and rushed to the medical room.
His steps were steady and strong. After the doctor examined her, they immediately
gave Seraphina a fever-reducing injection.
On the hospital bed, Seraphina looked even worse. She lay there quietly.
Knox stood nearby, feeling uneasy.
Zachary stood silently by the bed, his gaze deep and filled with guilt.
He kept blaming himself for being careless that afternoon and not noticing her abnormal temperature.

Fortunately, Knox had discovered it in time; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Zachary took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil in his heart.
The next morning, Zachary asked the doctor about Seraphina's condition. The doctor told him that her fever had subsided and she was out of danger, but she needed a few days of rest.
Hearing this, Zachary felt a slight relief, but his brow remained furrowed.
In the afternoon, sunlight streamed through the window into the hospital room. Seraphina slowly opened her eyes and looked around, only seeing the nurse busy.
"Has anyone come to see me?" she asked weakly.
The nurse shook her head. "No."
Seraphina closed her eyes in disappointment.
She thought Zachary had really followed her request and stayed away.
A wave of inexplicable sadness and disappointment washed over her. This news quickly reached Sofia. Sofia secretly rejoiced, thinking she might have successfully driven a wedge between the couple.
A smug smile appeared on her lips.
In the evening, Knox and Ezra brought a tablet to visit Seraphina. They didn't mention Zachary, just chatted with her to keep her company.
Although Seraphina smiled and accepted their concern, she couldn't stop wondering why Zachary hadn't come.
Three days later, Seraphina's fever finally broke completely. She returned to her room, wanting to take a shower. When Knox came to check on her, she couldn't help but ask, "Where's Zachary? Where did he go?"
Knox hesitated before saying, "Mr. Baker went on another mission. He might be gone for a week or two. He asked me to take care of you and said... he might not be back to see you off."
At the end, Knox's voice wavered.
Hearing this, Seraphina felt a sharp pain in her heart.
She tried to console herself: Maybe it's for the best, so she wouldn't overthink things.
Her voice trembled slightly, revealing her inner anticipation and unease.
Knox stood there silently for a while, his eyes flickering, clearly holding something
back.
Seraphina looked at him, feeling bitter but said nothing more.
She turned to get her change of clothes and went to Zachary's room.
The room was as tidy as ever, the bed neatly made without a single crease, as if no one
had ever slept there.
Looking at everything, Seraphina felt a wave of inexplicable sadness.
She suddenly realized that Zachary hadn't been back for a long time, though his presence still lingered in the room.
Seraphina held back her tears, walked into the bathroom, and stood under the shower,
letting the water wash over her as she cried her heart out.
After about ten minutes, Seraphina stood in front of the mirror, looking at her disheveled self.
Her eyes were swollen, her face pale, completely devoid of her usual radiance.
She gently touched her cheek, and tears fell again.
Seraphina walked out of the bathroom, poured herself a glass of warm water, but found it hard to swallow, as if something was stuck in her throat. She couldn't help but cry again, her tears falling into the glass, creating ripples.
What Seraphina didn't know was that a hidden camera in the corner of the room was silently recording everything. In a town two hours' drive from the camp, Zachary sat in
a black SUV, watching Seraphina's every move on his laptop screen.
Seeing Seraphina cry, Zachary's heart felt like it was being squeezed.
"Seraphina, watch out!" When he saw Seraphina about to bump into the table corner,
he couldn't help but shout at the screen.
However, his voice didn't reach Seraphina.
She still bumped into the table corner, crouching down in pain. Her old wound reopened, and blood started flowing from her knee.
