“Is your mom still working? Ah, she ought to be enjoying life now.”

Tan Sangsang was about to say that her mother is now responsible for taking care of her son but she was soon snapped back to her senses by a sudden kick from Yan Jinyi. “Oh, she retired last year and she’s staying at home most of the time now.”

Huo Zihang noticed that Huo Xian was still going to probe further so he took the initiative to pick up a piece of meat for him. “Grandpa, if you keep asking her any more questions, she’s going to be frightened by you.”

Huo Xian glared at her and chided, “Nonsense, I’m showing Sangsang some concern. By the way, you have a house under your name that’s unoccupied at the moment, right? Why don’t you just let Sangsang and her mother move in!?!”

Before Huo Zihang said anything, Tan Sangsang quickly refuted, “It’s alright, the place we’re living in now is pretty good. The rent is cheap and we’ve familiarized ourselves with the neighbors too.”
