Tao Wei looked at the funds transfer of a hundred million yuan in disbelief.

He swallowed his saliva and turned to look at Yan Jinyi who was opposite him. He then pushed the chair away and got ready to kneel down.

“I’m not dead, you don’t need to kneel before me.”

‘Uh…’

“Since we’re both in the same production team now, I’ll call you Jinyi.” Tao Wei smiled deferentially and continued, “Jinyi, you and Second Young Mistress Huo are truly my lifesavers. Why did Second Young Mistress Huo suddenly want to invest in my film?”

Yan Jinyi’s eyes lit up and she thought, ‘The role of a bandit is wonderful!’

“Since you’ve got such a good foresight and taste, feel free to voice out if you need more money, Director Tao!”

Yan Jinyi patted her chest generously.

‘Turns out Second Young Mistress Huo is so easily convinced! She’s so compliant towards Yan Jinyi too!’

‘Ah, I have to serve Yan Jinyi well.’

Suddenly recalling something, Tao Wei sighed again.

“Director Tao, is there something you’re displeased about?”

“No, nothing. It’s just the male lead…”

Yan Jinyi knew he was referring to Zhuang Heng. Hence, she humphed coldly and said with certainty, “Zhuang Heng will definitely agree to star in this film.”

Tao Wei looked at Yan Jinyi with puzzlement.

Zhuang Heng was not the type to fear the wealthy and powerful. Even if the helmsman of the Huo Family gave him any pressure, he wouldn’t take it on unless he wanted to.

Yan Jinyi picked up the glass of juice and took a sip, toasting to the fact that Zhuang Heng was an oddball.

By the time she returned to the Huo Family manor, the sky had already turned dark and the street lamps around the manor were still on, glowing together with the stars in the sky.

Yan Jinyi walked slowly with her hands on her back and suddenly heard a burst of calls coming from the side of the mansion.

“Miss Huo, take it easy, what if you get hurt?”

“Uncle Zhang is right. Miss Huo, let’s talk things over.”

‘Eh?’

Yan Jinyi quickly walked over and saw Zhang Guoquan standing downstairs with a bunch of servants and bodyguards, all staring at the second floor nervously.

She looked up to see that Huo Qingyuan was sitting on the railing of the balcony of the second floor.

“What’s this all about?”

Seeing that Yan Jinyi had returned, Zhang Guoquan subconsciously sighed in relief. “Second Young Mistress, Miss Huo wants to jump down from the second floor because no one is opening the door for her.”

“Okay.”

Yan Jinyi nodded unusually calmly and looked at Huo Qingyuan.

Huo Qingyuan glared at her and the two remained in a stalemate.
