Suddenly, a cellphone rang.

Huo Qingyuan made a dash for her cell phone, only to realize that the ringtone wasn’t from her cellphone.

Soon, Yan Jinyi said, “Come to the police station to pick me up.”

He subconsciously looked at Huo Qingyuan and the two of them made eye contact.

‘Pick her up at the police station?’

After swallowing some saliva, Huo Zihang asked, “Did you end up killing him?”

“Am I that violent?”

“Cut the crap, hurry up and get your ass over. Remember to bring some fruits and sweet pastries.”

That was the first time that anyone delivered food to the police station. The policemen were all flattered and surprised.

“Miss Yan, you’re being too polite. That’s just our duty.”

“You’re welcome,” Yan Jinyi said as she handed a box of cupcakes to the handsome police officer. “This is for you, keep pressing on. Remember to watch my film and remember to miss me!”

She then stuck her index finger and thumb out to act like she was shooting him.

“Huo Zihang, let’s go.”

Huo Zihang stared at the young police officer and thought, ‘Who are you to receive such treatment?’

‘Why is Yan Jinyi treating him so well?’
