Chapter 598 - Are You Hiding A Lady

They were promptly interrupted by someone knocking on the door. They were only 0.01 millimeters away from kissing.

“Shaoguang, what time is it already? How are you not up yet? Hurry up and open this door. I have something to discuss with you,” said a voice through the door.

“Why are you not opening the door yet? Are you hiding a lady?” added the voice.

Ye Shaoguang could tell it was You Xi’s voice. His first reaction was to shove Ji Mianmian into the washroom, along with her clothes and shoes.

Chapter 599: Your Naivety Is Simply Too Infatuating

“Stay put. Not a single word from your mouth, and make sure no one finds out about you.” Ye Shaoguang told Ji Mianmian as he squeezed her chin tightly.

Not a single fabric of clothing was on Ji Mianmian’s skin. While holding onto her clothes, she blinked her eyes as she naively asked Ye Shaoguang, “Will you help my goddess if I do as you say?”

Ye Shaoguang smiled as he was completely gobsmacked by her naivety. He gently patted her cheeks twice and said, “Depends on your performance...”

Upon hearing her reply, Ye Shaoguang gritted his teeth tightly and turned around to face her again. He asked, “Besides your goddess, do you still have anyone else in your heart?”

Without a second thought, Ji Mianmian shook her head and replied, “Nope!”

“Pretend I didn’t ask that question.”

Ye Shaoguang proceeded to shut the door behind him.

Ji Mianmian pouted as she was indeed being honest about only having room in her heart for her goddess alone. Not a single soul shared that space.

You Xi was standing outside the instant Ye Shaoguang opened the main door to his room. Without letting him in the room, Ye Shaoguang asked, “What are you doing here?”

“Obviously, there’s business to discuss with you,” said You Xi said as he tried to squeeze past Ye Shaoguang into the room.

“You’re quite irresponsible for getting up so late in the day. Ye Shaoguang, be honest now. You wouldn’t be hiding a lady in here, now would you? Goddammit, you actually did... I can smell the scent of a lady in here.” You Xi said.

Ye Shaoguang clenched his fist while closing the door. He said, “Speak, what is it?”

“Who’s the lady? Just let me take a look,” said You Xi.

“She left.”

He knew that even as daft and as useless of a man You Xi was, You Xi happened to have a natural talent in women. Since he was able to sense the presence of a woman in the room, there was no use in lying, and so, Ye Shaoguang had to come clean.

You Xi pouted and said, “What a way to kill the fun. I really am interested in seeing who it could be that made you submit to your primal instincts.”

“Are you going to state your business or not?” asked Ye Shaoguang.

After taking a good look around the room and failing to detect the presence of a woman, You Xi frustratingly said, “Of course I will...”

“Say, since Qingsi had caused such a huge mess for herself at the moment, wouldn’t she be extremely grateful to me if I actually helped her. Perhaps, she would submissively sleep with me then...” You Xi added.

Ye Shaoguang rolled his eyes and said, “In your dreams. If anyone is helping her out, that person will never be you.”

Feeling slightly offended, You Xi said, “Oh please, you keep saying how great Tingfeng is. I can’t seem to agree with you. His own lady was yelled at so horribly by people, and yet he did nothing in response to that kerfuffle.”

You Xi was instantly stunned by his response. He said, “I am honest, how can I not be?”

You Xi proceeded to stand up and said, “I’ll be using your washroom for a second.”

Ye Shaoguang stopped him, and with a blank look on his face, he said, “The washroom’s broken, no one came to fix it yet.”

You Xi was one hundred percent certain that Ye Shaoguang was hiding his lady in the washroom. The more he kept thinking, the more excited he grew.

“The tap’s broken too.” Ye Shaoguang replied with a cold expression.

“Doesn’t matter, I’ll be using the towels then.” You Xi persisted.

“I won’t let you enter.” Ye Shaoguang replied.

“What if I force my way in?” You Xi persisted further.

Ye Shaoguang was adamant about stopping You Xi from entering as the man in front of him was a known womanizer, and the person inside the washroom happened to be a complete idiot. He was determined to never let these two humans meet.

Just as the two of them were in their scuffle, the washroom door silently opened. Ye Shaoguang proceeded to grab You Xi’s hand tighter as he thought, ‘If this idiot had to get out, she better be dressed!’

However, without warning, Ji Mianmian unexpectedly raised her arm, and with a swift knife hand, You Xi’s voice immediately seized as he limped, lifeless on the ground.

“To not let anyone find out about me, the only way was to... get him to pass out! How quick thinking am I?” Ji Mianmian looked up with pride. Her expression was as if she was waiting to be praised.

Ye Shaoguang suddenly turned to his side to give Ji Mianmian a kiss. With a soft tone, he said, “Sometimes, your... naivety... is... simply too infatuating!”
