Divorce Has Never Felt This Good Chapter 181
Divorce Has Never Felt This Good
âWhat games do you want to play?â
Seeing that the basket was full of game coins, Becky suddenly smiled. âI want to play all of them,â she said.
Becky had loved playing arcade games as a young girl and had often come to the arcade after school with Jessie and their friends.
They were so good at it that they often won heaps of tickets that they could exchange for prizes. The manager had become worried and allowed them to play the games for free under the condition that they couldnât exchange the tickets for prizes.
Becky and Jessie had played the games for fun. They didnât like the prizes very much, but they were of the opinion that it would be a waste if they gave them up even after winning fair and square.
They had agreed to the manager since they could play the games for free.
However, Beckyâs visits to the arcade had drastically reduced once she had started university. And it had stopped altogether since she had married Rory.
The Casper family needed a gentle, considerate woman without habits like playing arcade games. To become a wife that met their standards, Becky hadnât done a lot of things that she loved during her three-year-long marriage with Rory. She hadnât played the drums, entered the arcade, or even visited her parents.
In hindsight, she thought of everything back then as ridiculous.
While Becky was distracted by these thoughts, Devin raised his hands to cover her eyes and said, âHow about we play a different game today?â
Becky turned towards Devin, but his hands remained over her eyes, preventing her from seeing anything. But she believed that he wouldnât do anything bad to her in a public place like this.
âWhat do you have in mind?â she asked with a smile.
âIâll cover your eyes and play the role of guide. You will be the driver. Okay?â
Beckyâs smile faded at Devinâs words. âI donât think thatâs a good idea.â
âReally? But you havenât tried it yet. How do you know itâs not good?â Devin whispered in Beckyâs ear. She could hear the smile in his voice.
Devin sat down in Beckyâs seat and retracted his hands. He pulled Becky to sit in front of him, saying, âThe unknown is the most exciting.â
He covered Beckyâs eyes again, this time with one hand, and pressed the start button with the other.
âAre you ready, Becky?â
It was a 5D racing video game in which they could virtually feel the collision and fly.
Before Becky could react, the car drove out, hitting the guardrail beside the track.
The chair monitored the collision. When Becky leaned forward at the impact, the inertia almost immediately pulled her back and she thumped heavily into Devinâs chest.
Devin placed his chin on Beckyâs shoulder, taking her by surprise. âYou just hit the guardrail on the left.â
When Becky didnât react, Devin placed one hand on hers and helped turn the wheel, saying, âYou are now in the middle of the road. There is an obstacle on the left which we will go through. There is an obstacle on the left again...â
Becky could hear Devinâs deep voice and felt his warmth on her ear when he spoke.
She was embarrassed and in this process, accidentally rammed the car into the wall.
A bang sounded at the impact. The chair bucked as it caught the collision and Devin gripped Beckyâs waist a little tighter.
Becky pushed his hand away as she said coldly, âItâs not funny, Devin.â
Devin frowned at her before saying, âHow about changing roles?â
Becky moved his hands even farther away and jumped off the seat. âI donât want to play any games.â
Devin followed her and cocked his head to look at her. âAre you angry?â
Becky didnât say anything.
But Devin had just crossed a line he shouldnât have.
