Divorce Has Never Felt This Good Chapter 114
Divorce Has Never Felt This Good
At that moment, Beckyâs phone vibrated, signaling a new message.
Becky lowered her head to check and saw that Devin had sent her a text just now.
It read, âThe media is coming.â
Once she finished reading, Becky raised her head to look at Devin who was also gazing back at her. She smiled. âThis is really considerate of you.â
Devinâs lips curved into a charming smile.
With a mocking smile, Becky averted her gaze and glanced toward Raina.
Babette was the first one to run over and open the door. When the personâs face was revealed, she was surprised at first, but then a big smile began to spread across her face. She sent Becky a triumphant glance before turning to Raina. âItâs Mr. Casper.â
Rory had told Babette not to call him âRoryâ last time, so she changed the way she addressed him.
Rainaâs expression instantly changed at the mention of his name. Joy was evident in her expression.
Becky looked at Raina and Babette with a smile. However, the moment Rory walked in, the smile on her face started to fade.
Rory entered and saw Becky and Devin standing together, making him feel a rush of displeasure.
He furrowed his brow. Walking over, he glanced at Becky before finally resting his gaze on Devin. âWhat is it that youâre planning on doing?â
âNothing,â Devin replied. âItâs just that Becky has something to talk about with you in person.â
Rory turned to stare at Becky with a frosty look. âWhat are you trying to do?â
As she met his gaze, Becky replied calmly, âThere are just some things that Iâm still confused about, so I came here to figure out the answers myself.â
âWeâre already divorced, Becky.â
Rory had no idea what Becky was trying to do here. He was already annoyed by the fact that she and Devin came to find Raina in the middle of the night.
âI know it far better than you do, so thereâs no need to remind me about it.â The smile immediately dropped from Beckyâs face, and in the next moment, a cold look appeared in her eyes. âHowever, the fact that we are divorced will not prevent me from finding out the truth.â
âWhat truth are you talking about?â Rory asked with a frown, obviously trying to restrain his anger.
Becky sent a glance towards Raina, who was standing behind Rory and decided to go straight to the point. âDid you marry me so you could protect Raina?â
Rory did not expect Becky to ask such a question. His expression darkened even further, and his rage was already evident at this point. But just as he was about to open his mouth to say something, Becky continued, âI donât need any sort of explanation from you. Just answer me with either a yes or a no. I believe that it wonât be difficult for you to answer the question.â
Beckyâs tone was cold and indifferent, and she was staring at Rory with a defiant expression.
Rory couldnât believe that he felt provoked by Beckyâs words for the first time. He let out a scoff in response. âAll right, then. So youâre here to humiliate yourself, arenât you?â
Humiliate herself?
So he admitted it!
Becky suddenly burst into laughter, but the amusement didnât reach her eyes.
âYou had the audacity to deceive me for three years!â
