Chapter 1414
The Ex-Husband's Revenge
âVery well! You brought this on yourself!â Eugene ran out of patience and charged toward Leon.
Since Penny was standing in front of Leon, she was swamped by Eugeneâs true energy as well, but she refused to stand down.
âScreech!â
Just then, a black luxury car raced toward them and came to a sudden halt outside the yard.
The car door opened and Damian stepped out with two of his guards.
When Damian was informed that Nigel wreaked havoc in Cynthion Group and captured Leonâs friends, he guessed that Nigel was doing so to target Leon.
Damian, like the others, assumed that Leon was in the Initial Innate State, so there was no way that Leon could defeat Nigel. Worried for Leonâs safety, Eugene decided to hurry over from work.
âStop!â Damianâs expression darkened when he saw that Eugene was about to attack Leon and Penny.
He darted over and appeared before Penny and Leon to fend off Eugeneâs attack.
âDad! Youâre finally here! Iâm so glad!â Penny was overjoyed and sighed a breath of relief.
âPenny, whatâs going on?â Damian ignored Eugene for a moment.
âWell,â Penny proceeded to explain everything.
âWhat?!â Damian was shocked.
He knew the extent of Nigelâs strength and he was the brightest of his generation, so he assumed that Leon. could never defeat Nigel. To his bewilderment, Leon managed to injure Nigel, and Damian was shaken to the core.
Most important, even when Nigel was at fault, Eugene insisted to take revenge for his son and attempted to hurt Leon and Penny, when they were his juniors.
Completely enraged, Damian questioned coldly, âWhatâs the meaning of this, Eugene? Do you think you can walk all over us and no one in the first bloodline is going to deal with you?â
âI-â Eugene paled slightly.
He only dared to be forceful in front of Penny and Leon because the two were far weaker than him;
however, Damian was his cousin and the first in line as the future heir of the family business, so Eugene knew that he had to be more respectful.
âDamian, Nigel might be wrong, but itâs just a oneâtime mistake and he didnât hurt Leonâs friends, yet Leon beat him up badly. This is too much! He has to pay for what he did!â Eugene said with an excuse to blame it all on Leon.
