The fine shimmer of sunlight fell on the branches and leaves and the air was filled with the fragrance of grass and trees— everything just looked so beautiful.

However, Ye Zhi’s heart was always empty. Gu Ren was obviously by her side, but she still felt that something was amiss.

Gu Ren noticed Ye Zhi’s expression and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Ye Zhi looked at Gu Ren as she said in a low voice, “I miss them.”
