Chapter 24

The O.T. lights went red and the heart bounced outside. Pihu looked at Riddhima.

"Should I call Vansh.....",

Riddhima was in dismay .

Pihu took out her phone and dialed the number but it went unanswered. She again tried but it looked like even destiny didn't wanted him to come her.

The hour passed but the lights were still on. Riddhima sat down holding her head and Pihu approched Aryan with a glass of water.

He looked at her and turned.

" Drink it , you need it." She held his hand , handing him the glass  she returned to Riddhima , Riddhima looked at the closed door...

The door of the mansion opened slowly and the servant welcomed them and they got seated , waiting for the "innocent business partner " ; Kabir walked down the stairs with  a grin on his face , he looked at Riddhima and came near her.

"Good morning Ishani", and as the words came out of his mouth , her mind flew back .

The door of the O.T. chamber opened and the doctor came out. His wrinkled eyes were only visible. There heart started beating fast till he removed his mask and exposed his smiling face.

"It was a stir attack , she is awake and fine now. Generally stir attacks are necessary to overcome coma like Situation.

So congratulations , you may visit the patient soon in ICU ."

The doctor walked away.

A smile spread across there faces. Aryan wiped off his tear looking at the sky . Gulping down some water , he turned to them .

"Thank you."

They both stood up.

" No need of thank you.........We came for this only ",

Aryan was a little confused.

"Here take this number and do call when you believe that your brother is not a criminal.", Riddhima looked at Aryan and he turned his face.

They both walked down the aisle when Riddhima's phone rang.

She took it up and the screen displayed Kabir. Pihu and Riddhima looked at each other, getting into the cab , finally they are standing here,

Kabir shook her, her thoughts broke and she looked up at him,

"Good morning" , Riddhima forced a smile.

He handed the file to Pihu. She looked at Kabir and took the file , "This has every detail for your case study so no need to worry now." He smirked.

"Thank you so much Kabir." Riddhima looked at the file.

"Thank you won't work atleast breakfast......." , He smirked again.

Riddhima looked at Pihu.

"Sure ", She forced a smile at Kabir. He held her hand , she backed a little but resisting him now may ruin all there plans. She took a deep breath and started walking behind him .

The breakfast started and suddenly the juice felled over her dress , "God!" She looked at Kabir in frustration.

"Don't worry use the washroom , it's over there.", He pointed in a direction , Riddhima stood up slowly and walked in the direction.

Plan is plan and players are players. That's it.

"You go with ma'am " Kabir pointed to a servant.Riddhima was still.

"NO .......I mean I will go .... Not a issue." He tried to cover up , Kabir smiled.

She paced towards the study , turning to check no eye was on her. She hurried to the table checking out every drawer and every file it contained. But there was nothing one could call suspicious.

Opening the bleaming white closet, she checked inside but still nothing in hand. She closed it in frustration.

"Where does he keep everything...", She held her head when her eyes travelled across the window,

"His room ......",

This was the ultimate thought which crossed her mind but thought and action are far different things.

A servant knocked at the door and she wiped off the sweat from her forehead. Adjusting her dress and she took a deep breath, she walked out nervously to the table and took the seat. Pihu looked at her and but there was a clear look of defeat in her eyes.

"You ok", Kabir held her hand , looking at him in frustration , she  backed a little,

"Yes...".

It was of no use,  tolerating him since day one has brought no outcome , but probably to reach till his room she has to do that a little more. She blindly took up the spoon and before it could reach to her lips , the phone rang,

A hope sparkeled as a notification popped on his phone, with whatever she could read at that pace she was sure it was written,

" Today 11 a.m.".

Kabir stood up and so did Riddhima and Pihu . Pihu came near her , "We have to do something to be here till 11 a.m. anyhow." Riddhima wispered in her ears. Pihu looked at her in confusion.

"So I take your leave." Kabir started walking up the stairs.

No..... They could see the opportunity slipping from there hands . He was walking up and they turned to the door. They looked at each other in defeat and suddenly Riddhima leg jerked and she fell to the ground twisting her ankle.

"Riddhi...........", Pihu rushed.

Riddhima narrowed her eyes.

"Ishani ma'am , are you fine.".  Pihu exclaimed.

Kabir came running down the stair and rushed to Riddhima.

"Are you fine........", He exclaimed.

Riddhima winced in pain.

Kabir lifted her up and walked to the room, "Call the doctor .. quickly."

He laid her on the bed while Pihu sat near her. Kabir stood there as the doctor came and applied the pack over the strain.

"Don't worry it's a strain and would heal in few hours."

"Thank you doctor." Kabir approched Riddhima.

"Are you fine now."

Riddhima nodded with a smile.

"Let's go Pihu we have work." Riddhima tried to stood up but he held her.

"No need take rest...."

"But it's ...."

"Your assistant can do that...." He looked at Pihu and she looked at Riddhima. Riddhima blinked.

Pihu walked out of the room slowly," God ...what was the need to make me go..... This Kabir , I don't know why I feel to kill him every now and then.", She walked out in frustration.

Kabir smiled and left the room. Riddhima looked up with as he went .The clock pointed 10:45.

She jumped out of the bed and locked the room and finally she was in his room , quite easily to be exact.  Shrugging off her thoughts, she walked up to the closet further to the table and more further to the drawers but there were crystal clear , so much that even diamond would lose it shine in front of his sanity.

She looked at the clock which pointed Eleven. What was the point coming to his room , god knows if he had even left something against him , should she go to the study again . Don't if anyone saw her , but let's see what's there at 11 a.m.  She looked around , there is neither Pihu nor Vansh so actually she could take any risk , they aren't going to know about it , Ok.

She sneaked out of the room slowing pacing down to the study....
