Chapter 88
Rise of the Crusader
88 Battle On The Ship
Thereâs a way we can settle this fairly, and everybody will get what they want,â Vincent stated.
âOh really.â When Luther heard Vincent, he sneered and then folded his hands across his chest. âWhy donât you enlighten me on this âsettleâ youâre referring to.â
âThis two and those other people come with me, and you and your group of minions can leave without any bloodshed occurring,â Vincent responded.
âHahahahaha!!â Luther aka metal man burst into laughter when he heard Vincent.
Seeing, the expression on Vincentâs face, Luther paused, âSo you were not fooling around, this was really what you meant by settling this.â Luther said.
The look on Vincent didnât change, and Luther said.
âDonât you think itâs quite absurd and also ridiculous? First, you kidnap innocent people to trade them out to fill your own pockets, and now that they have been taken away, you still demand for them again.â
âWith all the crimes you and those people behind you have committed, itâs very foolish of you to think that Iâm going to let you go after all that you have done.â Luther blurted.
Luther took a step forward, âThe heroes league wrath on that organization you come from will start from you, and I can assure you that itâs only a matter of time before we have you all locked up.â
.....
A chuckle couldnât help but escape Vincentâs lips when he heard Luther.
âYou know what,â Vincent paused, âI have changed my mind. I thought we could settle the issue as men, but Itâs clear that you arenât one. So, Iâm going to be dealing with you, the way species of your kind should be dealt with.â
Luther immediately moved a few steps backward when he felt a change in the surrounding. He immediately covered himself with metal and assumed a battle stance.
âAttack!!!â
As Lutherâs voice sounded, Vincent and the others were quickly surrounded. There were people all over the ship, and every single one of them was dashing toward Vincent.
Their numbers were so astonishing that even if Vincent, Raphael, Aliyah, Dwayne, and Devon wanted to escape now they wouldnât be able to.
âIf you think these will give you the upper hand, then youâre wrong. What is quantity before quality?â Vincent jested.
Suddenly, ten tentacles appeared on Vincentâs back. The tentacles were made from dark particles, and as the ten of them hovered behind Vincent, they excluded a frightening amount of killing intent.
While the appearance of the tentacles came as a shock for Luther and the others, it didnât stop them from charging forward. They moved rapidly and within seconds they appeared beside Vincent.
âAhhhhhhh!!!!!â
A second after Vincent was surrounded, and they were about to begin to launch their attacks at him, a scream of anguish rang out on the ship.
âAhhhh~!!!!!â
The screams only got louder and louder, and followed by each loud scream was someone being thrown to the sea.
âWhat the hell are those things?â It was the dark, curly-haired man that spoke. And as he stared at the tentacles which were ripping through the body of his mates one after the other, shock, and fear were written on his face.
It wasnât just the man who was left stupefied by those tentacles, Luther was also dumbfounded. He stopped moving immediately as he saw those tentacles appear, and when they began to attack his men, he was left startled.
The tentacles were extremely fast and accompanied by the monstrous strength to penetrate deeply into the bodies of their victims at one strike, they were simply unstoppable.
âBoss, if this continues, we are all going to die!â The curly-haired mumbled.
There was absolutely no doubt about what the man was saying as with the scene occurring, it was only a matter of time, and they wouldnât be anyone on the ship.
Luther bit his lips hand and then clenched his hand into tight fists. He stared at Vincent, who seemed to be relishing in the massacre that was happening beside him.
Throughout the entire time, Vincent didnât move an inch from where he was. His hands were folded across his chest, and it was as though he were able to control, manipulate and command those tentacles at will.
âStop!!!â Lutherâs loud voice sounded.
While Vincent heard Luther loud and clear, the killing didnât stop. And each tentacle continued to hack the bodies of the people on the ship.
âItâs enough. You have proved your point.â Luther exclaimed with a very displeased look on his face.
Vincent sneered, and with a thought, the tentacles withdrew themselves from the people on the ship. They gathered and assumed a defense as well as an attack stance around him.
âYou have already taken those two, so thereâs no reason why this should go on any longer. We will depart and act like this didnât happen.â
Once the tentacles around Vincent went on a killing spree, Dwayne had pulled Sylvia and Xavier with a grabbing arrow. While Raphael had a stern expression on his face.
After Luther spoke, he didnât waste any other time and moved quickly. He completely disregarded the huge ship he was on and settled for the smaller one instead.
However, Luther hadnât covered much ground when he was stopped. Lutherâs eyes squinted as he stared at the two tentacles that obstructed his path.
If Luther was confident in being able to deal with these tentacles, then he would have gone all out and fought with Vincent. But, Luther wasnât, in fact, he knew that if he were to engage in a squabble with Vincent, there was a high chance that he was going to perish.
With a frown on his face, Luther turned towards Vincent, âWhat is this?!!â Luther said, with rage evident in his voice.
A smile and then an expression full of mockery appeared on Lutherâs face.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
âWerenât you listening, when I said that I have changed my mind? None of you will be leaving this ship.â Vincent said.
âThis will serve as a message to others that whenever you encounter people from VA, you either flee or abide by their rules. Only death awaits those who obstruct us.â
A second after, Vincentâs icy voice rang and the two tentacles that were beside Luther moved.
