70 S-Rank

A few minutes had passed since Dante began to inform Raphael, Aliyah, and Dwayne about the details they needed to know, and once he was done, Gianna notified them about the plans.

Raphael, Aliyah, and Dwayne listened attentively to what Gianna had to say, and they assimilated the information very quickly.

“Have I made myself clear, or do I have to repeat myself?” Gianna asked in a not-so-friendly tone. And seeing the look that the three of them had on their faces, Gianna nodded her head.

Gianna stared at Dante who was receiving a phone call, and after about thirty seconds, Dante ended the call.

“It’s confirmed, she is already in the bunker with them.” Dante said, “The security protocol deployed remains the same as the one we have been monitoring. Twelve A-rank metahumans are outside the bunker, and an S-rank metahuman lurking around.”

When Gianna heard Dante, she couldn’t help but place her hand on her chin. “How many minutes do we have to complete this mission?”

“Less than five minutes.” Dante stared at his wristwatch and then said.

Gianna’s eyes twitched, she shook her head, before saying, “Five minutes is far too small considering how weak these three are.” Gianna exclaimed, “Is there any way we can make it ten or twenty minutes.”

“I don’t think so, Gianna. The person we are after is the chairman’s daughter. It’s already quite remarkable that we can get five minutes since the academy will have eyes on her the whole time.”

“But, I will see what I’m able to do. I have some friends in close circles with the people in charge of protecting the chairman’s daughter, so that should be useful.”

“That’s good, Dante, once this mission is over, I might consider putting your request in front of the directors,” Gianna stated.

Dante’s lips parted, exposing his teeth when he heard Gianna. “Thank you so much, Gianna,” Dante was so excited that if it wasn’t because of the disparity between him and Gianna, he would have hugged her tightly.

Gianna shifted her gaze away from Dante and then focused them on Raphael, Aliyah, and Dwayne.

“We all know what our tasks are, so let’s get this done,” Gianna said, and without any more delay, the four of them moved.

With Dante already giving the location where Hector and Arturo were, they didn’t need to search around the city, and they soon made it to the area.

Inside the bunker was Gwendolyn, the two muscular men, the tall woman, and a teenage girl. The girl’s skin was very pale, and she had a slender build.

She was putting on a hospital gown, with her long black untamed hair reaching her upper back, and very unique eyes that are red with an additional ring in them.

“It’s alright, Ivy, you don’t have to be afraid.” After injecting both Arturo and Hector with another syringe, Gwendolyn’s voice rang out.

Gwendolyn had always possessed an air of arrogance around her whenever she stood or spoke to anyone, but when she was in front of this teenage girl, it was like she was an entirely different person.

Though Arturo and Hector had been tied around the chair, Ivy couldn’t help but be frightened as she stared at them. It was only after Gwendolyn spoke that the shivering stopped.

Ivy gulped as she took a step closer to Hector and Arturo. She was about to take another step forward when she abruptly stopped and then broke out in sweats.

“You don’t have to worry about them, Ivy. The injection they received has made them paralyzed, they can’t move a muscle, not to talk of making a move on you.” Gwendolyn exclaimed.

“Trust me.”

Ivy glanced at Gwendolyn, before then taking a step forward. Ivy slowly stretched her hand towards Hector and Arturo, and as her hands came in contact with the both of them, Ivy’s body shook.

A second after Ivy touched both of them, she shut her eyes closed.

“Okay, Ivy, what do you see?” Gwendolyn had decided to remain quiet at first, but after Ivy’s hands touched Hector and Arturo, her voice rang out.

There was, however, no response from Ivy. She opened her mouth and seemed to be about to speak when she heard Gwendolyn, but when the moment came to let the words out, she wasn’t able to.

Ivy’s body began to tremble violently, she wasn’t able to get a grip of herself and was about to stumble to the floor, when Gwendolyn suddenly appeared behind her.

“It’s alright, Ivy, I’m here.” Gwendolyn said, “I want you to take a deep breath and tell me what you saw.”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“A building... Briefcase.” Ivy stuttered.

It was merely just a few words from Ivy, but when Gwendolyn heard it, her eyes widened and a light smile appeared on her face. She didn’t doubt any of the words of Ivy in the slightest, and only hoped they would be more details revealed.

Possessing the power that allowed her to see into the past and the future of any entity that she touched, Gwendolyn believed that if there was someone that could shed more details about the briefcase, it would be Ivy.

“I see three men, and one woman on top of a building, they...” Before Ivy could complete her words, the bunker door was suddenly slammed open and two figures rushed in.

Gwendolyn’s body shook when she heard the door slam, she quickly turned towards the door, seeing the two people who came into the bunker, her eyes flashed with killing intent.

“Hahaha hahahahah!!!” Holding on to a bottle firmly, Raphael laughed maniacally.

GULP!

It wasn’t only Raphael who was holding on to a bottle, Aliyah also had one in her hand. Her white wavy hair was in a messy state, and as she staggered around the bunker, a smile could be seen on her face.

“I’m not that drunk you know, just a little tipsy that’s all,” Raphael exclaimed.

“Ahh! What are you doing in my house,” Raphael clenched his hand into a fist, as he moved towards them. “Hmm, w-who... who are you people.”

Raphael had only taken a few steps when the two muscular men appeared in front of him. “Oh, so it’s four against one!” Raphael muttered. “Come on, let’s go.”

“What do we do with them?” One of the muscular men asked as he stared at the drunk Raphael and Aliyah.

“Throw them out!!” Gwendolyn didn’t even think about it, and her cold voice rang out a second after. Gwendolyn then stuck a little closer to Ivy, “What else do you see Ivy?”

Meanwhile, during that moment, the looks on Raphael, and Aliyah’s faces changed. The both of them glanced at each other, and after confirming the target, they nodded their head.

“You can do better than this drunk bastard, you know. Move!!!” The muscular man yelled.

Though Gwendolyn had instructed that he was to throw out Raphael and Aliyah, seeing how the muscular man seized Aliyah’s body from head to toe, there was absolutely no doubt that he had other ideas.

Aliyah remained neutral, but as the muscular man wanted to lay hands on her, she and Raphael made a move on both men. Raphael slammed his palm at full force to the man’s chest, and Aliyah grabbed the other man’s neck.

Their movement was so quick and decisive that before any of the people in the room could react, one of the muscular men was down, and the other man went on his kneels in front of Aliyah.

“Take Ivy through the back room, I will take care of this,” Gwendolyn said and then walked in front of Raphael and Aliyah.

After the death of the muscular man, Ivy was shivering in fear, and when the tall woman moved toward her, she couldn’t help but be more terrified. “Ivy, she won’t harm you... She is going to take you back to the academy, so pull yourself together.”

It was only after Ivy heard Gwendolyn’s loud voice that she was able to control herself. The tall woman bent, and Ivy leaped onto her back.

She mustered all the strength she had and dashed towards the secret door of the bunker. However, she hadn’t covered much ground when a blue owl appeared in front of her.

“What the...” The woman’s words were left half said as a second after the owl appeared, it launched itself forward.

THUD!

Ivy, who was on the woman’s back fell to the ground. As for the woman, she staggered several steps backward, staring at the hole that had just been formed on her body.

The woman’s body shook violently as she touched her abdomen, which was bleeding profusely. She lowered her head gently, seeing the hole that the owl created by drilling into her body, she gasped heavily.

It wasn’t up to five seconds before she fell to the ground. The blood continued to ooze rapidly from her body, and after a short while, she stopped breathing.

“Ahhhhhhhh,” Ivy screamed as she saw the body of the woman in front of her.

Meanwhile, Gwendolyn’s eyes squinted. She took a step and immediately appeared in front of Ivy.

“Are you just going to keep hiding, until everyone is dead, or will you take care of this quickly,” Gwendolyn said.

“Sigh...” A second after Gwendolyn spoke, and a figure appeared beside her.

It was a very tall man with a thin and lanky build. He had gray eyes and long wavy brown hair, that was hanged past his shoulder, concealing the left side of his face, and a large white eye patch with one exposed eye.

When Raphael and Aliyah saw the man that just appeared, the hairs on their body stood on end as they sensed a threat from the man.

“An S-rank,” Aliyah mumbled in a low voice.
