Chapter 205 - 205 Jake’s Death
Rise of the Crusader
205 Jakeâs Death
The Gilman couple had first assumed Raphael was joking when he requested for the table, but as soon as the look on his face went grim they both hurried into the mansion.
The onlookers were awestruck by the scene in front of them, after all, it wasnât every day that they got to see the mighty powerful family of Portland city in this state.
Or as Barnett said⦠The messenger of Holy savior academy.
It took a few seconds and a huge table was brought out by seven guards. The seven of them had learned one or two from those who were on the ground, and after the table was placed in front of Raphael, they took a few steps backward.
âThis person is crazy, who knows, when he might decide to shoot.â One of the guards said inwardly as he stared at the gun that Raphael was holding onto.
Meanwhile, once the table was dropped off, Barnett flashed Raphael a rough smile.
Then, holding his wife tightly, he said, âIf thatâs going to be all, I will be taking my leave now.â
Barnett wasted no other time, and without even having the least of concern about what it was Raphael wanted the table for, he turned around very quickly.
Walking towards the mansion at a worrisome pace.

Raphael watched as Barnett cowardly ran towards the mansion, before then moving his gaze to the seven guards.
It would be a lie to say that Raphael didnât find the terror on their faces amusing.
He, however, took a few steps closer to Jake, and once he arrived in front of him, he lifted him off the ground and then threw him to the table.
Followed by that quick action, Raphael casually waved his hand, bringing forth a suitcase beside Jake.
The suitcase was soon to be open, and while Jake was still unconscious, once he felt an abnormal itch all over his body, his eyes sprang open with fear evident in them.
Jakeâs first move was to flee out of where he was, but he had only just moved a muscle when he found himself tied to the four corners of a table.
His eyes twitched, and as soon as he came in contact with those blue eyes that had a sort of similarity with the eye of the grim reaper, tears dropped out of Jakeâs eyes immediately.
He wept bitterly, but it was still in doubt whether he was crying from seeing Raphael in front of him or the itches he was experiencing all over.
âHow are you doing?â Raphael asked a question that Jake didnât think he could ever hear considering the state he was in.
Surprisingly, despite the fear and yet pain he was feeling over, he was able to nod his head several times, before then saying.
âP-Please⦠Let me go.â
Jake had only spoken those words when Raphael pulled out a miter cutter from the box that was close to him.
And even though he was tied to the table, it didnât stop Jake from trying to break out of the hold.
He kept shaking his body all over the table, but after twenty seconds, he was powerless on the table, seemingly losing all hope.
However, if only he knew that he was in for hell itself
Raphael sneered, and moving towards Raphaelâs lower body, he aligned the miter cutter against his left toe.
âPlease⦠Please donât.â Jake pleaded.
His pleas were in vain to Raphaelâs ear, as once the miter cutter was properly placed in between Jakeâs little toe, he exerted force on it immediately.
âAhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!â
Jakeâs scream went so loud that it was capable of raising the dead from their grave, and his scream hadnât even died down when Raphael moved onto his ring toe.
The miter cutter worked wonders, and with another force added once it was aligned, Raphael successfully got rid of the ring toe.
âAhhhhhhhh⦠Arghhhhh!!!!â Jake painfully screeched, as not only did he have to deal with the itches all over his body, but he also felt horrible pain from his toes being cut off.
There was no stopping to his scream, and getting rid of two toes certainly didnât satisfy Raphael, once he had both toes cut off, he soon moved to the rest.
âArghhhhh!!! Stopppp!!!!!!!!!!!!â
Jake yelled.
And even though the people in the surroundings werenât the ones experiencing the pain that Jake was feeling all over, they couldnât help but sympathize with him.
A majority of them had tears on their faces as they watched Jake scream and yell.
Even Barnett and Lizzie who was watching from one of the windows of the mansion were deeply terrified of what was occurring down there.
No decent being deserved to be treated in this sort of way, it was simply barbaric. To then add to it, such an act was committed in broad daylight.
Barnett had one hand on the phone while his eyes were glued to the view in front of him. His lips kept moving, and after a few minutes, he removed the phone from his ear.
âHow was it?â Lizzie turned towards her husband and asked.
Barnett took a deep breath, âIâve spoken to them about it, they said they were going to send people here shortly.â
A smile was soon to appear on Lizzieâs face after she heard what her husband had just said.
She moved towards him with her hands then wrapped around his waist, she winked her eyes at him seductively.
There couldnât be anything more appealing than seeing her man possessing this sort of authority, despite that he wasnât a metahuman.
âHehe!â
And as Barnett saw the look that was on his wifeâs face, he grinned like a demented child.
But, the couple were onto one another, and the atmosphere wasnât so soothing for Jake.
At first, it was his five toes that were cut off by the miter cutter, then once Raphael was done with the left leg, he soon moved to his right leg.
And the same cruel act was performed on his left leg also.
âMmmm⦠Hhhuhhmmmaa!â Jake spouted gibberish.
He was unable to say actual words, both from the clothes that were stuck in his mouth as and the excruciating pain he felt from the miter cutter.
It would at least have been better if Raphael were to ask whatever it is he wanted, but for some reason, Raphael seemed to have lost interest in the assignment.
Instead, the only focus was ensuring that he had Jake in a place that was more terrible than hell itself.
There was no a bit of emotion or even a tinge of sympathy on Raphaelâs face, and once he was done cutting off Jakeâs toes, the finger came next.
âMhmm!!!â Jakeâs voice rang out.
His veins were in clear, however, despite the tears, the blood, or even the muffled sound he let out, none of that mattered before Raphael.
Raphael soon got rid of the fingers on his right hand, but unlike the toes which he simply sliced it off, Raphael went ahead, and twisted the finger, before then dragging it out.
The pain at which Jake felt from this was double what he felt from his toes cut off.
If it hadnât been for the clothes that were shoved in his mouth, his cries would have resounded through the whole city, but Raphael already took care of that.
After all, not many liked to hear the cries and screams of their victim, the tears, and blood were enough for some.
It took a brief moment, and once Raphael had all Jakeâs fingers on the table, he moved towards him with a smile on his face.
âNow, where is it?â Raphael asked politely.
âMhm!â With tears rolling from his eyes, Jake muffled voice sounded.
Raphael raised an eyebrow, âYou wonât say where it is, alright then, I did my best.â
âMmmm!â
Jake let out the same sound, but this time around he moved his gaze to the clothes that were in his mouth, indicating that he needed them out before he could speak.
However, while, it was already concluded that Raphael wasnât a reasonable person, Jake never expected it to be to this extent.
A burning iron was suddenly got carried out of the suitcase, and less than a second after it emerged Raphael held the iron, and with a sadistic grin on his face, he moved towards Jake.
âBloody hell!â
As the burning iron came in contact with Jakeâs body, it wasnât Jake who expressed fear, but instead, it was the onlookers.
Every single one of them was left flabbergasted as they watched a temperature of steel which was at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit (815.56 degrees Celsius) burn through a human body.
They soon moved their gaze to Jake, seeing the tears now replaced with blood, it didnât come as much of a surprise to them.
The pain was horrible, to say the least, and even though a majority of them had enemies, and hated them to the bone, they didnât wish for this sort of experience of them.
Raphaelâs eyes suddenly twitched, as he saw Jakeâs eyes rolling back and forth.
He removed the clothes that were in his mouth, âWhere is it?â Raphael asked.
âPo-Pocket.â
Those were Jakeâs final words as he ascended onto the land of the dead.
