• Chapter Nine •

|E T H A N ' S P O V|

"Hello class and welcome to Liams Guide On Shifting 101!" Liam shouted as he put his fisted hands onto his hips which made Hale roll his eyes. "Lesson number one! Shifting! Hale please step forward!"

"I don't take orders from you." Hale scoffed. Liam ignored his Alpha and pushed him forward which earned an annoyed growl.

"Hale here will demonstrate what shifting is and how to shift." Liam stated as he looked at Hale expectingly.

"I didn't agree to this." Hale grumbled but still complied as he removed his shirt which revealed his droolworthy chest.

'Damn. I wouldn't mind running my tongue down that.' Mason groaned.

'Mason!' Ethan exclaimed.

'What!? Don't act like you weren't thinking of the same thing!' If Ethan wasn't a wolf at that second his cheeks would have been a very noticeable red.

Ethan was knocked out of his thoughts when he heard a sudden snap coming from Hale direction. He looked up and noticed that Hale was slightly hunched over while hair grew vigorously all over his body while his body seemed to change form.

Ethan whimpered in concern as he could hear Hales bones snap and reshape. He was to frighten to move from his spot so he just laid onto the gound and covered his head with his paws hoping that Hale wasn't suffering or hurt.

Suddenly there was a second of silence before Ethan felt a soft nudge on his paws. Ethan slowly removed his paws from his head and looked up to see two dark brown eyes staring back at him. He yelped in shock and jumped backwards from the the rather large black colored wolf.

He smells just like Hale.

And he has the same eye color as Hale.

But it can't possibly be Hale.

The large wolf whined whenever Ethan would move away from him but Ethan couldn't help it this was all to new for him. He whimpered in fear as he ran behind Liam.

"Calm down Ethan." Liam cooed as he pet the shaking wolf. "You see this scary fella. Thats just Hale." Hale growled at the way Liam described him but it only proved his point even more.

Ethan tilted his head in confusion as he stared at the wolf who was supposedly Hale who suddenly dropped the front half of his body to the ground while his behind stayed in the air. Ethan looked at Liam for answers.

"He's inviting you to play, Ethan." Liam chuckled. "If you want to play you have to do what he's doing."

Ethan looked at Hale hesitantly before dropping into the same position which made Hale happy as his tail started wagging from side to side. Hale wriggled his behind before playfully barking at Ethan who didn't know how to respond so he gave him a shy yip.

Which made Liam die of a sudden heart attack.

Not really.

Hale made a nonthreatening growl as he pounced at Ethan who stumbled backwards in shock. Hale nipped at Ethans front paws softly before tugging at his ears which flickered when he pulled away. Hale then lowered his body to the ground as he bounced forwards and backwards playfully.

"He wants to play chase." Liam explained when he noticed Ethans look of confusion.

Hale suddenly started running towards Ethan which frightened the omega as he stood up at lightening speed before he took off running in the opposite direction. Ethan didnt understand the game at first but after a few seconds of pulling at each others fur and nudging each other Ethan started enjoying the game. He loved it even more when Hale would purposely slow down just to give Ethan the chance to run away.

After about an half an hour of mindless playing the two soon fell tired so Hale lazily dropped to the ground while Ethan jumped on top of his back where he started gnawing and tugging at his ear.

"Having fun you two?" Liam asked which made the two wolves yip happily before then went back to what they were doing. "Hale you can shift back now."

Hale grumbed under his breath but he sat up anyways which made Ethan slide off of him fall to the ground. Hale trotted towards Liam before shifting back to his human form where he was then given clothes from him.

"You see what Hale just did?" Ethan nodded his head at Liam question. "You can do the same thing."

I can become a human?

'Why would you want to be a human? They scary and mean and only have two legs! Thats so weird.' Mason commented.

'Nobody asked you.' Ethan stated.

'Well I wasn't talking to you.' Mason sassed.

'Yeah right.' Ethan scoffed as he rolled his eyes.

"We've got to go Liam." Hale suddenly stated as he scooped up his mate after realizing what time it was.

"We haven't even gotten up to the shifting part yet." Liam complained as Ethan was taken away.

"We'll do it next time Liam. I'm running late!" Hale shouted over his shoulder as he entered his house since they trained in Hales backyard. "Guess what time it is?"

'Lunch time?'

'Shut up Mason.' Ethan growled.

"Its bath time!" Hale exclaimed

Wait. BATHTIME!?

'Abort! Abort! Get out of there solider! I repeat Abort!' Mason shouted frantically but it was to late.

They were already in the bathroom.

"C'mon Ethan." Hale groaned as he pushed his wet hair back. "There's nothing wrong with the water."

Ethan stayed huddled up in his lovely corner as he growled at Hale before his eyes zoomed in on the things that frightened him.

"Its just bubbles." Hale complained as he grabbed a handful of bubbles from the bathtub before placing it on top of Ethan's head who's immediate reaction was to shake it off. "Just. Get. In. The. Tub. Ethan." Hale demanded.

Ethan growled again.

"Cmon!" Hale exclaimed desperately as he dragged Ethan towards the bath who resisted as much as he could. "Just five minutes and your free to go." Hale promised but Ethan wasn't having it.

Hale has been trying to put his little mate into the bathtub for ten minutes but every time Hale would get close to putting him in the little thing would somehow find a way to escape and push Hale in for revenge. Hale was completely drenched from head to toe and he was getting very tired of being pushed into the bath he needed to get ready for lunch with his parents and it already half past twelve.

Ethan growled at Hale before escaping his hold and pushing Hale into the tub.

"Not again Ethan." Hale whined as he got out of the bath. "If you don't want a bath you can go." Hale grumbled childishly hoping to guilt trip his little mate.

And it worked.

Ethan stopped his growling and looked at Hale in confusion. He wanted to leave but he didnt want his mate to be upset with him. Hale noticed that his mate was still in the room so he looked at him with an innocent stare.

"I said you can go Ethan." Hale stated.

His mate remained silent as he slowly padded towards the tub before tugging at Hales hand with his mouth since he had no hands.

"You want to have a bath with me?" Hale asked which earned a shy nod from the wolf. "Okay then." He went to pick Ethan up from the ground but the wolf was forcing himself down.

Ethan whined as he pulled his ears back.

"Whats wrong Ethan?" Ethan just bopped Hales chest with his wet noes. "You want me to go in first?" Ethan nodded his head shyly as he averted his eyes to the ground.

Hale sighed before rolling his eyes playfully as he removed his clothes making sure that he was only in his boxer briefs before sitting in the bathtub. He watch his mate hesitantly putting a paw into the water to test it out before his entire body followed minutes later.

"See. This isn't so bad." Hale chuckled as Ethan who was to focused on the bubbles.

Ethan sniffed at the weird thing that decorated the water top before he hesitantly nipped at it which caused it to pop right in his face. Ethans tail reacted quickly as it wagged excitedly Ethan begun jumping around in the tub as he tried to pop as many of the bubbles he could with his mouth which made Hale cooe at his mates cuteness but also groan when he realized the mess Ethan was creating in his bathtoom.

So after Hale washed Ethans fur and his own body he blow dried Ethans fur before going into his room where he changed into some nicer clothe before he quickly cleaned up the bathroom floor before he told Ethan to follow him out the the house where he locked the door before going into his car.

It was time to meet Hales parents.
