Chapter 36

Accidental Amore

Raveena 's Marriage Day.

I'm going back to Geet, wait she's unconscious on the floor in the room. Chipsy is also unconscious. No one has any idea what happened. My mother also fainted. We called the doctor. Prem was there and said he is a doctor. When he checked, he found out that someone had poisoned all three of them. Ranjeet thought someone nearby was doing this, but he couldn't figure out who it was. Could it be Moon, Earth, or Prem? Raveena, who looked innocent, was also spinning her head.

It's impossible that after doing all this, someone could still escape Ranjeet's notice. Geet regained consciousness.

"Geet, are you okay?" I asked

"Yes, but what happened? Why is Jay here? What is everyone doing here?" Geet asked.

Prem asked, "Geet, what did you eat?"

"Nothing much, just a biscuit." Geet replied.

"That same biscuit that I ate too. I'm fine. Since mom and Jay ate it, it means someone is plotting this. Anaya, did you...?" I said.

"Why would I do that?" Anaya said.

Geet said, "Everyone go outside, we're all fine."

After everyone went outside, Ranjeet hugged Chipsy.

"Are you okay? I was so scared." Ranjeet asked.

"Why? Scared? Now you're feeling love. Is it love?" Chipsy said angrily.

"Are you crazy? I can't even breathe without you. My feelings for you are more than just love. What happened made me feel like I lost you," Ranjeet said, tears in his eyes.

"It's good that the doctor came quickly." I said.

mom still hadn't regained consciousness, but she was out of danger. Jay smiled and said, "You don't look good when you're crying. Cry a bit more." Chipsy said with a smile.

Ranjeet said angrily, "Stop teasing, or I'll..."

"Or what, Ranjeet? In just one day, love came out. If I had known this, I would have taken poison earlier."

Ranjeet, crying, said, "What are you saying? Don't even think about doing this."

His eyes were full of pain and concern. Jay looked at Ranjeet. Seeing Ranjeet's smile, Jay felt relieved and showed extra care. Ranjeet went back to acting and said, "Okay! You're fine. I'm leaving. Good friend."

"Friend?" Chipsy took his hand and pulled him, giving Jay a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy Friendship Day." Geet and I were both trying to hold back our smiles, we closed eyes, Ranjeet was blushing. Ranjeet started to blush and said, "I am sorry."

"Why?"

"I ignored you."

"It's okay, Ranjeet. I knew you were scared, right?"

"No, Jay. I was just worried that I'm not worthy of you. I laugh at myself. I'm not that great. I feel ashamed and sad."

"Shame on yourself? You're the best, my husband. Without you, my life would be incomplete. I've never seen someone as honest as you. Your kindness made me fall in love with you. Your innocence also spoke a lot to my heart."

Ranjeet's eyes were filled with pain and tears. They were downcast.

"No, Jay, this is a lie. I've only done bad things till now."

"You've changed now, maybe for me or for someone else, but you're not the same as before."

"I will always be the same. I can't change with change. Old Ranjeet always takes over me. I'll hurt you."

"You won't do anything! I trust you!" I hugged Ranjeet. Both of us hugged, and there were tears in Jay's eyes. I started to see Geet and remembered my own life, how Geet had become everything for me.

Jay looked at Ranjeet, and Ranjeet looked at Jay. Their eyes met, and as soon as Ranjeet's lips touched Jay's, Jay started kissing him. Then Ranjeet stood up and tapped him, saying, "What?"

"Your mother is here. Let's go somewhere else." Jay and Ranjeet went somewhere else.

I felt, why am I so scared? Today, I will tell everything too. If Ranjeet can do it, then so can I. Why should I be afraid? I won't get another chance. Who knows what tomorrow holds?

"Geet, come with me." I said.

"Where?" Geet looked worried and scared. I really wanted to ask her, but I also wanted to express my feelings.

"Just come."

I led Geet to a room. It was empty. I turned to her and said, "Geet!"

"What? We're not safe here!" she replied anxiously.

"Listen, Geet! I never thought I'd act like this. I must be crazy."

"Kya hua?"

She looked at me, as if she had no idea. Geet was trying to peer outside, while I just kept staring at her, wondering what to say next.

"I... love..."

We heard gunshots. I peeked out the window and saw Ranjeet holding a gun. I called Ranjeet.

"What happened, Ranjeet? You're holding a gun... what's going on?"

"Yes, someone came to kill you and your mom, but I killed him."

Everyone came outside.

Ranjeet said, "Jay and I went outside. I saw someone with a gun. Seeing the gun, I knew he wasn't my man. I chased him and killed him."

I said, "Ranjeet, you should have captured him. We would have found out who sent him."

Jay asked, "Why is Geet scared? Geet said, 'Payal, let's leave from here.'"

"Calm down, Geet. Nothing will happen."

"It will! He said he will kill you, and I'm scared."

Geet started having an anxiety attack and seemed lost in thought. I asked, "When did he say he would kill you?" Geet couldn't say anything. I hugged her. Just then, Prem arrived and said,

"Relax, Geet! Take a long, deep breath."

Geet calmed down, but Moon started feeling dizzy seeing the man she killed. Earth said, "Moon, I'm with you. Calm down! Ranjeet will handle it. Nothing will happen."

Geet said, "Since childhood, he has taken everything from me, and now he will destroy everything too." She looked terrified, like she had just seen a serial killer. Her eyes were red, sweat dripped down her face, and her hair was a tangled mess

I patted Geet's back. "Nothing will happen, Geet! Calm down! If he's here, we have to face him today. How long will we keep running?"

After a while, Mom regained consciousness and came out of the room. Ranjeet's men were taking away a dead body. There was blood on its head. The police arrived, spoke to Ranjeet, and conducted a thorough investigation, increasing security.

Raveena's mom said, "Payal, because of you, there was bloodshed here. This is Shaadi's house! What is happening here?"

"Be quiet! Is this the time to talk about such things?" Ranjeet said angrily.

Raveena's mom fell silent.

Raveena looked at me and asked, "Payal, what happened?"

"Nothing, Raveena. Take Geet inside."

I handed Geet over to Raveena, lost in her childhood thoughts. Raveena went with me to help Geet calm down.

Raveena sat beside her and asked, "Since when has Geet had this problem?"

"Maybe since childhood."

"What happened in her childhood?"

I laid Geet on the bed and stroked her head.

"Her mom and dad had an accident. After that, she sometimes experiences attack like this."

"Was someone responsible?"

"I don't know, but why are you asking all this, Raveena?"

"Because I know something that no one else does."

"What do you know?"

"I heard my mom and dad talking when I was very little. That accident was planned."

"Who planned it?" I asked.

"You won't believe it, but if your dad became rich so quickly, it's because of that accident. Your dad..."

Geet said, "Payal's dad?"

I said, "Raveena, what are you saying? Are you in your senses? Do you have any proof?"

Raveena said, "No proof, but ask your dad. Your dad worked under Mr. Malhotra in London. Even after managing everything well, he couldn't find investors to start his business. Mr. Malhotra refused to invest. Out of anger, your dad planned the accident. After their deaths, their estate would either go to their daughter or his brother. My dad works for your dad, doing these things."

"You have no proof. My dad can't be wrong. He may be bad, but not that bad. Do you think he's behind what happened today too?" I said angrily.

Raveena said, "Yes! He's behind all this. That's the truth, whether you believe it or not. Your dad knew Geet from before. That's why he hated her the moment he saw her."

"He didn't know her! There's no such thing!" I stood up angrily.

Just then, Geet stood up, grabbed a gun, and tried to leave.

"You're not thinking straight. You're already troubled by old memories. At least wait for some proof before believing what Raveena says," I stopped her.

"I've waited long enough for this. I don't know how he took everything in his name. Your dad was an excellent law student. He knew how to make this happen. Your dad did this. He has troubled me my whole life. How could he have known that I would end up marrying his daughter? He must be even angrier now," Geet said, feeling dizzy but determined to leave the room.

My dad entered the room to check if everything was okay. "Raveena! Geet... Payal."

Geet fired the gun. I screamed and grabbed Dad. "Are you crazy? Maybe you don't have your mom and dad, but why are you taking mine from me?"

Geet wasn't fully conscious. Dad was immediately taken to the hospital. After three months, he regained consciousness. He survived, but after that, a rift developed between Geet and me. I stopped talking to Geet. She came several times, insisting that what she did was right. Neither Geet nor I ever verified Raveena's words. We were such fools in that moment. Geet tried to find out the truth, but to this day, we don't know it.

After that, I invested in Earth's business idea. My dad told me to start a business, and Earth and I became business partners. Moon eventually realized that Earth was the best for her, and she stayed with Earth, constantly apologizing. Moon played a significant role in helping Earth in business. After 4.5 years, everything is normal between Earth and Moon, and they might be getting married.

Mom was wrong. Geet will never understand me, and I can never understand her. Our thoughts cannot align and now even our hearts cannot. She's blinded by her thirst for revenge. She can't tell right from wrong anymore. I know a lot of terrible things have happened, but was it really my dad's fault? She didn't even wait to find out the truth. Whether she accepts it or not, she's wrong.

I don't want to risk my dad's life anymore. Geet has lost it. She'll destroy my family. She's stuck in her childhood trauma and can't break free. She thinks my dad is a murderer. Yes, she's suffered since childhood, but I can't stand by her in this. Geet, you and I... we can never be together.
