Chapter 11

The Blue-Hassan Family

The Rich And Not Spoiled: A Christmas Special

🎄 Quinn's POV 🎄

🎄December🎄

December is my favorite time of year. Snows falling and everyone is just so cheerful. It's cozy and gives me a good reason to lay in bed next to my favorite person.

It's actually what we've been doing for the last couple of hours.

"Are you feeling okay baby?" Zoë asked me softly as we lay together on the couch watching Barbie and a Christmas Carol with our three-year-old.

"I am," I kissed her cheek and snuggled close to her. "Just a little tired," I said.

Zoë held me a little tighter and kissed my forehead. "You can sleep baby, I'm not moving anytime soon." She smiled at me.

A few months ago, Zoë and I decided to have another baby. I'm four months pregnant and while it's been taxing on my body a little, it's been really good.

We found out we were having another girl. We had Rainnie and Valentina throw us a little gender reveal party, Zoë was against it at first but I wanted one, and well, we had one.

It was small and intimate, just our friends and family. We had a cake and cut it to find pink frosting on the inside. Zoë and I were so happy.

Anyway, I'm four months pregnant now and I couldn't be happier. I'm not showing much either which is somewhat a good thing.

"Mama, can I have hot chocolate?" Freya asked.

"A little later angel, you just had hot chocolate," Zoë said, and our three-year-old pouted.

Some days Freya is excited about us having another baby and can't wait to have a little sibling. We try our best to reassure her that we're not gonna love her any less and it works most days. But she also has days when she needs that extra little bit of reassurance.

We're trying to be as patient as possible because we know it can be hard.

"Does the baby get hot chocolate?" She asked Zoë with a pout.

"No angel, the baby is still in mommy's tummy," Zoë said but she didn't seem amused.

"But when it gets here, it's gonna get hot chocolate." She said and turned away.

I sighed and sat up. "Come here sweetheart," I said and she climbed into my arms. "What's up angel?" I held her in my arms and stroked some of her hair back.

Freya has a tendency to shy away and not talk about her issues if we don't bring them up first, she's a little reserved in that way so we encourage her as much as we can to talk about it whatever it is that's on her mind.

"Nothing, I just want hot chocolate," she shrugged a little. "And one day, mama will only give the baby some,"

"Freya angel, you know we both love you a lot, but you just had hot chocolate and two cups right now is a lot," I said.

She crossed her arms. "No," She pouted.

I looked at Zoë who looked at me. We both knew what this was about. I held our daughter a little tighter and placed a little kiss on her head.

"Angel, do you really want two cups hot chocolate right now?" We asked her.

She shook her head. "What's wrong angel?" Zoë asked.

"I don't know." She said.

"It's okay baby, you say whatever it is." I said to her softly and she laid her head on me and sighed.

"I'm worried you love the baby and I have to share everything." She whispered.

"You share with Noah all the time baby, and with Jackson," Zoë said.

"No, but I mean my mommies. I don't want to share with the baby." She wrapped her arms around me and held Zoë's hand just like she did when she was younger.

"Of course baby, we're not going anywhere," I said. "We're all still going to be here. Having another baby doesn't mean that you won't have us anymore. It just means we have more love to give each of you. More of us," I explained.

Her blue eyes looked into mine. "So the baby and I won't share?"

"No angel, you will share but it means more love. I will love you twice as much and the baby just the same and Mama will love you both twice as much." I said and she tilted her head in confusion at us.

"Imagine we both have two hearts, one for you and one for the baby, one for each of you. All that more love for you and the baby," Zoë explained.

Freya smiled and let go of me slightly. Her smile was soft and she seemed to finally understand we weren't going to love her any less than when the baby was to arrive.

Zoë and I both placed a kiss on her head. "So was it all about hot chocolate?" Zoë asked.

Freya smiled and shook her head. "No," she said. "but can I have some? Later?" She asked.

Zoë and I smiled gently at her. "Of course angel, later we will have some hot chocolate."

She smiled and got off my lap to run off to her playroom. Zoë and I paused the movie and I laid back down in my wife's arms.

"I think she's starting to get it," Zoë said as her hands ran through my hair.

"I think so, she's growing up so quickly though, we're going to miss these moments." I sighed.

"We definitely will." Zoë kissed my forehead. "Ready for the trip?" She asked.

"Christmas is Switzerland? Of course, I'm ready. And more so because I'm going with you." I said and she smirked.

"Of course you are baby," she said with a smile.

"Our last Christmas as a family of three next up is four," Zoë said.

"With twice as much love to give."

"Two hearts." She kissed my forehead.
