30.
Loving The Boss.
Mel.
"Simon they've been acting strange all day, I woke up in an empty bed, and I was horny, I was so frustrated, what's the point of having two men in love with me when they both leave me to being horny all day."
I complain to Simon in his office on the finance managers floor. It had been a week and not only has Hugh been acting strange, Tyrell as well. Today was the last straw, I can't be waking up to an empty bed.
"So you don't know where they are, or what they might be doing?"
"If I did would I be ready to strangle them?"
"Tone."
"Sorry, it's just I'm frustrated, they just left and not even a note to be decent at least."
"I think you're overreacting about this, there has been a lot of work going in and flowing out, I'm only free because you know how to file them and do it faster than I can."
"Are you forgetting that I'm Tyrell's assistant and advisor, I'm literally the one who handles his work."
"Yikes."
"Exactly Justin, I feel like pulling my hair out, what the fuck are they up to, I know it's not another bitch so who is it or what is it."
"What's what." Simon startles me Justin making me fall from my seat and Justin spills his coffee on his pants.
"Don't scare us like that Simon, I think I saw the ghost of Cleopatra, right there."
He mumbled a sorry helping me up and moving to Justin, and helping him wipe off the coffee, eliciting some moans from Justin.
"Please don't fuck in front of me."
"Unlike you, we have respect for the public, even if you've seen his junk." I'm sure Simon didn't hear the last part when Justin winked at me.
"So what were you talking about?"
"Baby, Mel is freaking about Hugh and Tyrell not being in bed with him this morning, they are not following the work schedule he has for them and he thinks they're up to something, or someone."
"I never said someone, Justin, don't make me sound as if I don't trust my boyfriends, which right now I might or might not be sure about, they are being shady."
Simon moves from Justin and sat on the desk in front of me. "Mel, whatever it is, it's not something to get this worked up over, okay, calm down, it's only been a few weeks since you got out of the hospital, so no stressing yourself."
"He's right Mel, they are coming home tonight so why not ask them then." I nod to them both.
I walk to the couch and grab my messenger bag, taking out their engagement present. "So you guys got engaged I was so happy obviously, but I didn't get you something, so here."
I extended the two wrapped boxes to them. "Mel you shouldn't have, you're already the wedding planner." Justin moves from his chair and takes the box.
"You two are my only friends so let me spoil you, I have millions that are untouched since Tyrell and Hugh won't let me use my own money for anything." I chuckle sitting down.
"Mel these cost more than three months of my salary." Simon spoke up admiring the Rolex watches I had gotten for him. "Ahhhh oh fuckingâ you got me a bloody car!!!"
Justin had always wanted a Camaro with a throaty engine. So I plotted with Simon and we got him one. "Well it was a joint effort, Simon paid half."
He squeals jumping up and down hugging the both of us. "Thank you, thank you, now I can show up at my mother's house in style and shove it in her face that I made it." I laugh at his outburst.
It wasn't because Justin hated his mother, it was because Justin and his mother were somewhat competitive, also she claimed a gay man wouldn't be able to make something of himself in a world against him.
But here we all were, surviving and thriving.
"You're the best, I know you wanted to buy me this car for a while, so you had Simon join in because I wouldn't accept it."
"Guilty."
We hug again until he calmed down. "Best engagement present ever, thanks, Mel." I nod as we get back to work.
"So are you calmer now Mel?" Simon asks. "Yes I am, I'm just going to find out tonight even if I have to hold them by the balls to say it. I clenched my fist and Simon flinched.
"Anyway, here you go, these are for you two." He leaves the chocolate bars and goes back to his own office and floor.
"How are you handling being engaged?"
"It's normal actually, only difference is my finger I guess and being much much more in love with him, he's turning 33 and you and I will be 28 in a couple of months, time to settle down."
He was right it was time to start on a family and building a home. "Agreed I guess, you're right, it is time, no more late night drinking and getting white girl wasted in the back of Simon's jeep."
"Those were the times."
We work on his files and finish everything just in time for the workday to be officially over. I had to get home and grill two men.
"Go easy on them kitty." I chuckle and hug Simon. "Tell me everything." Justin whispers in my ear. "I will."
As I'm turning around I spot Nolan in one position I never thought I would see him in, I never expected him to be gay that's number one and secondly having his tongue down one of his partners.
They kiss passionately and wildly. I wonder why I'm always stuck in situations like these. I seem to remember a similar situation.
"Ahem." The two scramble apart and act normal, more like try act normal.
"You weren't supposed to see that."
"Oh I know, but it's kind of public, anybody can see." I could see him nervous not knowing what to do. "So when has this been going on."
I ask getting into the car. "Don't lie to me, Nolan."
"Yes Sir, I mean Mel, it's been a while since I got shot." That was a while ago. " It's serious then Mark."
"Yes Sir." Mark my other bodyguard whom I now know as Nolan's boyfriend replies. "Great, come to dinner tomorrow, no formal wear, you work for me so you have no excuses."
"Fine Mel." Nolan replied and I smiled watching Mark also smile from the mirror. "Do you know where your boss is Nolan?"
"No I don't Mel."
"You better not know, or there will be hell to pay." I see him gulp from the mirror. He has a tendency of not telling me because Hugh said not to.
We had moved to a safer neighborhood and there are additional guards at the house, it was for safety since Hugh didn't want a repeat of last time.
I made my way inside, perplexed by the lights being on and no one being inside. I walked toward my bedroom following a trail of roses. I finally got to our bedroom and my jaw dropped.
It had been designed in an Arabic ceremony style, the bed was filled with roses and lanterns lit up the room. " It's so beautiful." I exclaimed running my hand over the fabrics and picking up fruit on the large platter.
"You love it." I spun around quickly to graced by the presence of Tyrell and Hugh in turbans and practically nothing else besides boxers.
"I love it." I looked back at everything, as I did so I could feel arms snaking around my waist and my torso.
"So before we pleasure you, we have to say something."
"Melbourn Authur DeLain, you're my sunshine, my everything, my love and I only love one other person the way I love you, you gave me my love back and the promise of a better future, risked your life to save mine, I love you."
"Melie, my bubbly bunny of goodness, I was lost without you baby, I've always thought that love can only destroy, until you and this sap here showed me otherwise, you're absolutely the best and I'm so sorry for what I did to you, I wish I could take it back but that would mean I wouldn't have Tyrell, I love you with everything in me."
"So will you marry us?"
This was the moment I knew my life would never be the same, that these men truly loved me and nothing could change that. I was utterly in love with them.
So I said. "Yes."
