Chapter 35 - Do you have anything to say to me after two years?

“Nothing. Shall we proceed?” said Nancheng Lie.

It was his brother on the phone. He had traced down the two cars which belonged to a car lease company. They were rented a few days ago. According to the car lease company along with his own investigation, the lessees were from Leiluo.

Nancheng Lie knew it very well what this suggested. But he was still confused about what he saw earlier. Who protected Li Qinghao in the other car? And who came after Li Qinghao? Did they have anything to do with those Leiluo people who took Li Qinghao away?

It made sense that Li Qinghao was taken away because of Xu. but why he was hunted down? Was is because of his father’s business enemy?

No. Nancheng Lie was sure it wasn’t. Li Qinghao’s father ran a small business. He was not a big figure. It would make more sense that Nancheng Lie was caught up by his brother’s business enemy.

Who was the man shooting out of the window? Was he Xu’s bodyguard? Or Li Qinghao’s bodyguard that his father got for him?

It was definitely not Li Qinghao. Nancheng Lie saw it very clearly how good that man was. He was a professional, no, better than professional. How could he be just a bodyguard?

“Did you take Li Qinghao to his school today?” asked Nancheng Lie casually, “out of curiosity, why does he live with you?”

To his knowledge, how could Han Mingxu share a room and even a bed with another person? Thinking of the bed, Nancheng Lie cursed Li Qinghao in mind.

“Why? He can’t?” Keqi sensed that Nancheng Lie had something on his mind. He was not interested anyway.

“I am just curious. A lot has changed since you came back.”

“People change. Don’t you think so?” Keqi looked up, “even the unconscious Li Qinghao changed, let alone us.”

Nancheng Lie agreed in silence. “Did you go home right after you take him to his school?”

Keqi froze there with chopsticks in his hand, looking at him with narrowed eyes, “do you want me to stick to him?”

“Given what I saw yesterday, I thought you would.” Said Nancheng Lie.

“You… what exactly do you want to talk about?” putting down his chopsticks, Keqi looked at him with his hands across his chest.

“Do you have anything to say to me after two years?” asked Nancheng Lie. Things got intense between the two.

Without saying anything, Keqi tapped one finger on the table, looking into Nancheng Lie’s eyes.

Nancheng Lie sat back against the chair, looking even more charming with such beautiful eyebrows.

“I have been too busy to talk to you these years.” Said Keqi slowly, loneliness and bitterness in his eyes.

“Just let me know if there is anything I can help.” Nancheng Lie had a hard feeling too.

“It will hurt you.” Keqi shook his head. With a deep sigh, he looked out of the window, “the rain seems to be getting worse.”

“Oh? Hasn’t it been raining since last night?” It reminded Nancheng Lie of last night.

“Are you familiar with me as well?” He still remembered it very well how beautiful Li Qinghao was when he said that to him.

Li Qinghao. Li Qinghao. All of sudden, he realized that he was taken away by somebody.

Jumping from the chair suddenly, he made a huge noise because of the sudden move.

“Nancheng Lie.” Wondered Keqi.

Nancheng Lie was startled too, “Sorry, I have to go.” He ran away.
