Chapter 482

The five brothers and sisters finally get better after a week. That week Ye Qing Xin and Jing Bo Yuan don’t have a good rest.

Old Madame Jing and He Shu E just know about it after week. Old Madame Jing scold them and also complain toward the other elders.

Old Madame Sheng feels wronged: “Your Sun Zi (Grandson) didn’t let me to tell you, what can I do?”

Old Madame Jing says: “He asked you to do that and you just be silent? Since when you are so obedient?”

Old Madame Sheng sighs. “I live here and eat here, how could I not listen to him?”

Jing Bo Yuan and Ye Qing Xin go home after work, they notice that they are missing the triplet. They ask and just know that they were picked up by the Old Madame Jing. She turns her head and looks at Jing Bo Yuan, who is feeding the girls. “Do you want to talk to them?”

Jing Bo Yuan is watching the daughters, he doesn’t even lift up his head and just refuses. “No need.” He adds: “Let them stay there for few more days.”

Ye Qing Xin : “……”

“Mama, where is Papa? Mu Mu wants to talk to Papa.” Mu Mu loves and likes his Papa so much. He sounds hopeful.

“Weir.”

“Xin Xin.” Dou Weir sounds worried. “Past few days your children were having a fever, how did you treat it?”

“Zhou Zhou also has a fever?” Ye Qing Xin asks.

“Yes, this morning I took him to the children’s play area, he was okay and playing happily. I let him sleep when we were home. But the time I woke him up for dinner, I noticed that he has fever. His face is so red…”

Dou Weir is panic.

Though for her, Zhou Zhou has special status, but she wants to take care of him. She doesn’t want bad things to happen to him.

“Don’t worry. Do you have a thermometer at home? Measure his temperature first. If it’s lower than 39 degree celsius you can try to lower his temperature using physical action like use the towel and cold water to wipe his body. If it’s higher than 39 degree, you should take him to the hospital.” She adds, “If not, I’ll let my family doctor to go to your house.”

Dou Weir: “Okay, please call the doctor to come over. I’ll measure his temperature first.”

“What about He Ji Fan? He is not here.”

“He goes to Tai Yuan, he will be back tomorrow.”

After the call, Dou Weir immediately finds the thermometer and measures Zhou Zhou’s temperature. He is sleeping now, yet he looks anxious and sick.

She waits for a while and notices the temperature is 38,7 degree celsius.

There’re medicines at the house, yet she doesn’t dare to give to Zhou Zhou. She takes a basin of warm water and towel.

The time the doctor comes, she has wiped Zhou Zhou’s body.

“Doctor, are you okay?” Dou Weir notices the doctor’s expression.

The doctor says seriously: “There’s something wrong with this kid, he needs to go to the hospital.”

Dou Weir is shocked: “What happened to him?”

“I’m not sure right now, but he should go to hospital to have examination.”

Dou Weir just holds He Chi Zhou and goes to the hospital with the doctor.

They go to Jing He hospital. The doctor injects him first and then does examination. Dou Weir is so stupefied that she hasn’t called He Ji Fan and He family.

Zhou Zhou’s face turns a bit purple on the way to the hospital. He seems to have trouble breathing.

Ye Qing Xin calls her to ask about He Chi Zhou’s condition. Ye Qing Xin is surprised too to listen about He Chi Zhou’s condition.

“Have you called He Ji Fan?”

“Not yet.

“Do you want my help?”

Dou Weir thinks about it. “Okay, tell them. I’m going to take the examination result. I don’t know what the result would look like.

Ye Qing Xin knows her meaning. If it’s serious, then she cannot explain it to He family too.

The call ends.

The doctor comes over with He Chi Zhou’s blood result. It shows that there’s something wrong with He Chi Zhou’s blood result.

The doctor tells her that He Chi Zhou needs to stay at PICU.

Dou Weir is shaking: “PICU?”

“An intensive care for the kids. It’s very expensive. A day is around ten thousands.”

Dou Weir doesn’t think too much about it. “Let him in, in. As long as it can save the kid, I’ll pay for everything.”

The doctor calls the PICU to ask whether there’s an empty bed.

Twenty minutes later, the nurse from PICU passes a sheet to Dou Weir and says coldly: “Wait there.” Then the nurse takes Zhou Zhou inside.

Dou Weir looks around, it seems that everyone here is waiting for someone. A lot of them look so anxious. Dou Weir leans on the wall, her face looks so sour.

Her mind is full of He Chi Zhou’s sick face.

If there’s something bad happen to He Chi Zhou, she has to bear the blame.

After two to three minutes, the nurse passes back all the He Chi Zhou’s clothes.

Around twenty minutes later, He family members are coming. Chen Meng comes over and slaps her on the face.

“I just know that you have bad intention, how could you take him out? Look how you take care of him? How could you be so careless? If there’s something bad to him, I will not let you off!”

“Alright, lower your voice!” He Zhang Ju stops Chen Meng and asks Dou Weir: “What happened to Zhou ZHou? A Yuan’s wife just say that he has a fever? Why he is at PICU?”

Dou Weir doesn’t mind her burning face, she lowers her face and be startled. She knows that He Chi Zhou’s condition is not very good but she isn’t sure what his illness is.

“It’s sepsis shock.” Ye Qing Xin’s family doctor says. He tries to explain: “The infection makes his whole body inflamed….”

The doctor talks a lot but the conclusions are: this illness is too dangerous, it has a higher mortality rate and it’s infectious.

It’s possible Zhou Zhou is infected when he was playing outside.

“I just know it’s because of you.” Chen Meng points at Dou Weir’s nose. “Today Zhou Zhou was okay, now he is sick. It’s because of you. You are just so ruthless, you are so mean. Zhou Zhou is not even three years old, how could yo be so ruthless!”

Dou Weir just let Chen Meng blames and scolds her.

At last it’s Old Madame He, who cannot bear it anymore. “Stop it, the kid is fighting for his life, can you stop talking?”

Chen Meng closes her eyes and looks at Dou Weir with furious glare.

After a while, Dou Weir’s phone ring. She walks toward the corner and answers it.

“I’m on my way back home, don’t worry.”

He Ji Fan already knows what happened to He Chi Zhou.

“I’m sorry…” Dou Weir’s throat is so dry.

“It’s not your fault. Zhou Zhou will be okay.” He Ji Fan says: “My Ma’s temper is bad. She should say a lot of words toward you. No matter what happen, I will stand by your side.”

Dou Weir feels os sad, she tries to hold back her tears. “Drive safely. Safety is priority.”

Dou Weir stands there for a while then she returns to the PICU front door.

A doctor comes out of the PICU: “The kid is in very serious condition, he is being rescued.”

The doctor’s words are stabbing all the people’s heart.

He family hasn’t responded, the doctor just passes a paper.

“For a rescue action we need to permission from the guardian. Hurry up sign it, the cost will b around 20,000. You guys need to prepare well, but…”

“What?” Chen Meng asks worriedly.

“We will try our best to help him, but we can guarantee it.”

Old Madame He just faints.

“Ma!” He Zhang Ju holds her and Dou Weir pinches the philtrum (A traditional treatment to bring someone back to consciousness).

Old Madame He regains her consciousness and be teary: “My kid, doctor, you should save him. You need to be sure to save him…”

“We will do our best, but please sign this one.”

Chen Meng is quivering, she doesn’t dare to sign it. He Zhang Ju takes the pen and the contract. He just signs it and says: “Doctor, please save Zhou Zhou.”

“We will do our best.”

“How can it be so serious?” Old Madame He says, “Zhou Zhou, my baby.”

He Zhang Ju feels sorrowful too. Chen Meng starts to cry. She has no mood to fight with Chen Meng again.

Dou Weir just stands there, her whole body feels os cold.

After waiting for ten minutes, Dou Weir watches the nurse brings in medicine inside.

She feels so helpless that time.

Ye Qing Xin calls over once and asks about Zhou Zhou’s current condition. Dou Weir just explains it honestly to her.

He Ji Fan also calls once. He doesn’t ask about Zhou Zhou’s condition. He just cares about Dou Weir.

After a long time, finally the doctor is out. He lifts up his mask and says: “Luckily, he is safe.”

But the doctor continues: “But his condition is not very good, you guys should be prepared yourself. Also, you should pay for the medical fee first.”

“Doctor, just do your best to save him. We don’t have trouble to pay. As long as you can save him, we will pay everything.” Che Meng says.
