7.15|Rich Hearts: One-shot|

Note: This is a one-shot dedicated to Rich Hearts.

In this chapter, Advay and Zuri's daughter Aaraya's name has been changed to Zara.

Zuri, "Wait, baby, let me call your daddy again."

Zara, "Mama..." almost in tears she continued, "Why isn't he here yet ? He promised to take me to the aquarium today."

Zuri, "Wait, my love, go and see if your cousins want to join us ? Hmm ?? I'll call your daddy maybe he is struck in traffic?"

Zara, "Okay."

Zuri, (Where are you Advay? You promised her.)

She called again, (The number you're dialing is busy.)

That day Advay had promised to take Zara and Zuri to the acquirum because he was busy in a new deal from last week and had no time for his family.

Zuri now called his assistant.

Zuri, "Where is Advay?"

Assistant, "Mam, sir have left the office 2 hours ago when got a call from Diva mam."

Zuri, "Diva?"

Why Advay? Why again her? Am I not understanding enough? What do I say to Zara?

Zuri, "Zara baby, let's go. Call viansh too. Today only mama and kids' day, okay? Viansh baby, do you want to enjoy with Zara didi and Masi?"

Viansh, "Yesh(yes), Masi, let go (let's go)."

They enjoyed a lot in the acquirum. Zara and Viansh were so fascinated with colourful fishes and were laughing and smiling with each other their happiness was so amazing that even Zuri's mood got better and even she couldn't help but smile with them. After that they even had their favourite dinner by showing their puppy eyes to Zuri.

Right after coming home they slept.

Zuri was now thinking deep or say overthinking how she and Zara may not be as important as Diva and Amayra for Advay because Advay always say Diva is his soulmate.

It was 1 am at night when Advay was back home. He looked tired.

Advay, "Zuri?"

(Maybe she slept.)

He thought and go towards bathroom to freshen up.

Lights turned on suddenly, Advay turn towards the bed . He saw Zuri was awake.

Advay, "Zuri, why are you awake? It's so late."

He saw that she looked upset so he went closer to her and sat beside her

Advay, "Are you angry at me? I am so sorry, Zuri. I was coming to home but when I was coming home I got a call from Diva. Amayra fell down while playing and she got a cut on the head. She was bleeding, Zuri, when I got there she was crying I felt my heart bleed seeing her crying. Abeer was out of town or he would have taken her. I ... I am sorry, Zuri, I would have been here otherwise. Please try to understand me, my love."

Zuri kept staring at him without saying anything. Then asked, "How is she now?" She couldn't help it, it was not the child's fault.

Advay, "She got two stiches on her head. I swear, Zuri, I felt my heart bleed today."

Zuri "She will be fine."

Advay, "Has Zara slept?"

Zuri just hummed in response.

Advay, "She must be angry at me."

Zuri, "Advay, if I ask you something will you answer me honestly? I... I may be overthinking and may be unreasonable for asking this. May be you will feel I am heartless for not understanding your situation."

Advay, "You can ask anything, my love. What is it? Are you still angry at me?"

Zuri, "You said Diva is your soulmate and I am your love then what is Zara and Amayra to you ?? For me, soulmate will always be important than love but I don't have to differentiate between them because for me you're my love as well as my solemate and Zara is my heartbeat, my life but you have to differentiate it. I don't have any problem if Diva is more important to you than me because she is your soulmate but if ... if Zara won't be your priority then I... I will not be able to continue this."

Advay, "Zuri, are you mad? Do you think if Amayra would not have injured herself then I would still break my promise to Zara?" He couldn't help but get angry. Both, Amayra and Zara, were his daughters why would he not love Zara? It was unreasonable for him.

Zuri, "I can't help it. Okay, I am a human too, just once Amayra got hurt and you forgot me and my daughter. What is the guarantee that it won't happen again? You don't know how Zara cried today. It was not about how serious the situation was, it was about how you let me and my daughter hang for Amayra and Diva. It was about how you broke your promise. You don't know how I couldn't answer her when she asked me why you broke your promise. What would I have told her that you have to take care of your other daughter from your soulmate, that's why you couldn't keep your promise?"

She couldn't help but be unreasonable because she had already lost one baby but now she can't let Zara be heartbroken.

Advay, "Are you serious? Daughter from soulmate? Where did that came from? Don't you trust my love? Do you think I don't love Zara and you? Then what am I doing with you till know?"

Zuri was insecure and she can, she was a human after all. She too deserve to be like what she want to be. She had been understanding for long enough.

Advay sighed, "Zuri, my love, Diva is my soulmate not because we love each other or because we liked each other but because we were always together, we were two completely similar people, both alone who were craving for a company so we understood each other. Zuri, you are my love and Zara is my heartbeat."

Zuri, "I know, Advay, and I am sorry but what can I do Amayra have both you and Abeer who love her so much. She have two dads but my Zara have only you so I can't help but want Zara to be your first priority. I may sound selfish but I am a mother."

Advay, "I am sorry, my love, I am so sorry for making you and Zara wait today but Abeer was out of town. Both Amayra and Zara are my daughters. I can't have favouritism between them, both are my blood I know it may be unfair to you both but I can't do it, Zuri. I am sorry but I assure you, what happened today will not happen again. Zara will not have to wait for her father again. Between you and Diva I can say I love you but between Amayra and Zara I can't say who I love more. Both are my life."

Zuri, "Would you have married Diva if both of you were not step-sibilings?"

Advay, "This I can tell you that I never wanted to marry in my life but, Zuri, you changed me. You made me wish I have you as my wife. I wanted to make a family after meeting you. Before I never had that thought, not even with Diva."

Zuri, "Don't leave me and Zara, Advay, please."

Advay, "Never."

And he kissed her forehead.

Next day, after Zuri woke up she felt a commotion in the kitchen. Advay was cooking breakfast with Zara. They looked at Zuri.

Zuri smiled at them.

Zuri, "What are you both doing here?"

Advay, "We were planning to surprise you with breakfast in bed but I guess we are exposed."

After a fun breakfast they had a trip to aquarium like Advay had promised zara and spent quality time with his wife and daughter.

Abeer - Diva :

Abeer was back after being informed that Amayra was hurt. The meeting was done halfway but Abeer was anxious to complete it fast. After the meeting he was back without taking any rest.

Amayra was asleep after taking her medicines. And Diva was just sitting in the living room after the tiring day.

Abeer, "Amayra? Diva, where is Amayra? How is she?"

Diva, "She is fine, just got 2 stiches on her forehead."

Abeer, "I was so scared, Diva. I felt so helpless. I couldn't even come. Thank God, Advay was there."

Diva, "Don't worry, my love. She is alright."

Abeer, "I know I did not give birth to her but she is my daughter and I felt so helpless today when Advay was there for Amayra and I wasn't there for her. I felt so scared. What if she doesn't like me because I wasn't there for her?"

Diva, "You're the best father. You don't have to think otherwise and she is alright. Please don't worry, you were always there for her and she always want to you. Even if there is Advay still she want her papa."

Abeer, "Let me just look at her."

Abeer enters to Amayra's room and find Amayra peacefully sleeping in her bed. They just recently made a princess style room for Amayra. She sometimes sleep with them and sometimes in her room. Abeer always prepares everything according to Amayra's wish, her choice. She too always depend on her papa.

Advay - Zuri, Diva - Abeer; all have faced hardships but they are coping with it and they are moving on. They did mistakes but they have learnt from them. Vansh was also living happily with his wife Ziya. They all have complicated lives but they moved on and learnt to live with it. They all have insecurities but they learnt how to deal with them.

Their hearts learnt to beat again.
