5.6|Tamas • Asad N Arwa|
The Art Of Love ✓
Nawaz exited his room to find out Qaina's whereabouts. She went for a walk in the corridor but didn't return for an hour now. But in the middle of his way he saw something weird. Nikhat was limping and he couldn't control himself from asking about it even when he was angry with her.
"Nikhat, why are you limping?"
His presence and his question, both startled her.
Bhai, last night my husband was really hard on me and I am sore now. That's why I am limping.
She couldn't say this to him, right?
"Bhai, you haven't consummated your marriage, right?"
"How do you know?" He was baffled at her question. He can't even doubt about her colour blindness because it has nothing to do with the question. She can see everything except for colours.
"It's obvious. When you'll consummate, you'll automatically understand why I was limping. Understood?"
Honestly, he didn't understood a single word she spoke. But he knew it's something related to intercourse. So he let it go. He was very inexperienced in these things.
"Okay, let me help you." Saying so he picked her up in his arms. His love for his sister was greater than his ego.
"Where should I take you?"
"Kitchen. I am hungry."
He nodded and headed downstairs.
"Bhai?"
"Hmm?"
"I am sorry." She hid her face in his chest.
"Nikhat, at least try to trust me. I am your brother, you are my only family."
"I am sorry, Bhai." By then, both of them had tears in their eyes.
Nawaz smiled and entered the kitchen. Making Nikhat sit on the shelf, he looked for some eatables.
The maid entered and she was a kind of surprised to see the siblings in the kitchen. It was a rare sight to see them in the kitchen, both of them hated cooking.
"Shah Sahab, do you need anything?"
"Yes, I had told you to make pasta sandwiches."
"Yes, I had prepared pasta sandwiches. But Qaina ma'am and Atif sir ate it before leaving."
"What? Qaina and Atif?"
"Yes, they ate it all while laughing and giggling. And then went for shopping."
Nawaz and Nikhat, both were equally shocked at her statement.
Atif hates Qaina!
How is it even possible?
"Have they taken gaurds with them?" Nawaz asked.
"Gaurds were ready to go but Atif sir refused them."
Nawaz's head was spinning in a wrong direction. To him it appeared as if Atif has some evil intentions behind it.
But to know that, he needed to find them as soon as possible.
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
It was almost midnight when Atif and Qaina returned with Nawaz.
Nawaz was boiling with anger. One wrong move and he will burst out of his rage.
Qaina was trying hard to keep quiet. Her injured arm hurt a lot, but she didn't want to make Atif feel guilty.
Atif wanted to slap himself a thousand times. Now he clearly understood why Nawaz was so strict with him. He is reckless, and he accepts this fact on his twenty-seventh birthday.
"Qaina, can you go to the room by yourself?" Nawaz asked.
Qaina nodded and left. She was now familiar with every corner of the mansion and could easily roam around by herself. So it wasn't a big deal now.
As Qaina left, Nawaz turned to look at Atif. The lights were switched off. However, the moonlight was illuminating the living hall through the wall-size glass windows. His head hung low due to the realisation of his recklessness.
"You are not allowed to step out of the mansion for next two months. Understood?"
Atif silently nodded.
"Now go to your room."
He again nodded and vanished into the darkness.
Nawaz headed to his room. He needed to teach a lesson to his wife as well.
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
Atif entered his room to find Nikhat pacing around wearing a shirt that belonged to him. As she saw him, a wide smile adorned her face and she came running to hug him.
"Nikhat, what happened?"
"Happy birthday! I know it's past midnight. I wanted to surprise you last night but then so much happened in just a few hours and it totally slipped my mind. So I am wishing you now. Happy birthday, dear husband!" She pulled his cheeks, making him chuckle.
"What about my gift, Nikhu?" He rubbed his nose with hers.
"Wait a minute." She went to the closet and came out with a fancy wooden box.
"What is this?"
"Look for yourself."
She handed it to him and Atif excitedly opened it. Because Nikhat's gifts are always unique and heart-touching. And it indeed touched his heart.
There was a tiny white t-shirt in the box with big bold black letters which read
"Happy Birthday, Dad!"
He smiled and engulfed her into a hug. He poured all his heart out into a passionate kiss and tried to show her how much he loved her.
At that moment he understood that even if she has trust issues with her loved ones that doesn't mean that she don't love them. She loves them with all her heart and he was one of those lucky ones.
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
Qaina felt as if she was a bomb and was going to explode as Nawaz was thrusting her intimate spots. And finally she exploded.
A relief washed over her that maybe his anger died down after their steamy session.
"Are you alright, Qaina?"
She nodded, unable to form a sensible sentence.
Nawaz put his head on her chest. He liked the way her chest was moving up and down with her heavy breaths. He liked the way she began caressing his hair. And he liked the way she showed her affection through these small tasks.
"Nawaz."
"Hmm?"
"Why did you marry me?"
"Why are you asking?"
"I just want to know."
"Alright. It was your father's last wish that I marry with you."
"Did he knew I was blind?"
"Yes, he did."
"And you were ready to marry a blind girl?"
"Honestly, I was hesitant. I made the promise only to relieve him out of his worry. And I had totally forgotten about it, but then one day Nikhat barged in the house saying that I need to marry you because Atif has gone mad in hate. But trust me, I married you because I developed a liking towards you."
"So Atif Bhai was the only reason you married me, except for your liking?"
"No, Qaina, we have enemies. One of them was our fathers' stepbrother. He is the one who tried to assassinate you and Atif today. He knew about you and you were one of his targets."
"Why he wants to kill us?"
"Lust of power."
"What about my father? What kind of person he was?"
"He was a nice person. But he was just like Atif. Reckless. Our grandfather got him married to Atif's mother. But he was in love with your mother. He married to obey his father but he kept meeting your mother. Soon Atif was born, he got his heir, exactly what our grandfather wanted. But he never loved his wife or son. They were only a burden for him. This is the reason why Atif is like this. When you were born, he was very happy. Even after the news about your blindness, he felt sad but he wasn't disappointed. Because for him, you were his true child, the symbol of his and your mother's love. But you were only a few months old when he and your mother died in an accident, planned by our step-uncle. Then your maternal uncle took your custody as he wanted to keep you away from our family. Atif's mother died few years later due to blood cancer. Maybe that was the time when Atif and Nikhat came closer to each other."
"So my father was a twisted person?"
"Exactly."
"Have you forgiven Nikhat and Atif Bhai?"
"Yes, I have." He smiled.
"Great!"
"Qaina, I needed to discuss something important."
"Okay, what is it?"
"Will you consider an eye operation for yourself? I have consulted a surgeon and there are chances that your visual impairment may be cured by a surgery."
"Nawaz, I really want to, if it's possible. It makes me sad thinking that I won't be able to look at our child's face."
"Then be ready to see the world." He qouted with a bright smile.

AFTER FIVE YEARS
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
"Asad, eat your breakfast or no chocolates today." Nikhat warned the four year old Asad who was sitting on the dining table.
"Milk is not breakfast." He argued grumpily.
"Oh, then what is breakfast according to your dictionary?"
"Pasta sandwiches." He folded his arms on his chest, his action simply declaring that he won't eat anything except for his favourite pasta sandwiches.
"Asad, are you done eating?" Atif asked while looking at him sternly. One look from Atif and Asad quickly gulped down the entire glass of milk.
Well, he fears Atif and won't throw tantrums when he is around. He was a mama's boy. His bond with Nikhat was similar to that of two best friends. And when it comes to pampering he has his Waaz Mamu and Qainu Phuppo.
"Good morning, Asad!" There came his favourite Qainu Phuppo carefully holding two giant-sized books over her big baby bump.
Atif frowned seeing her descending the stairs all alone. He stood up and went to hold her.
"Qainu, you should be careful. Don't use stairs without anyone's help. Baby is about come."
He repeated the same words for the hundredth time.
Qaina looked at him.
Yes, she looked at him with her charcoal black eyes.
"Bhai, I am not a baby." And gave the same expression like Asad gives.
Asad started laughing at his father's expressions.
"Phuppo, when we will go to the baby shop to bring the baby?" Asad asked according to the Asad Naqvi's theory of baby birth.
"Asad, baby is inside Phuppo's womb." Nikhat tried to explain.
"Haw! How he got inside her?"
"With the hard work of your Mamu." As the words slipped Atif's mouth, Nikhat pinched his bicep harshly.
"Ouch!" He winced rubbing his bicep.
"Phuppo, it hurts?"
"No." She replied with a smile and enthusiasm.
Asad gave a toothy grin.
"Then Dad, you also work hard and give mamma a baby."
Atif choked out the orange juice listening to his son's demand.
"I am already working hard, but your mother... Ouch!"
Before he could complete his sentence Nikhat again pinched his bicep.
Nawaz descended the stairs in a hurry and joined them for the breakfast.
"Qaina, why you left without me? Baby is about to arrive and you are yourself behaving like one."
"Nawaz, I am not a baby." Her tone was strict and irritated.
"No arguments, Qaina." His tone was equally strict.
She huffed in annoyance and resumed eating her breakfast.
"Mamu?"
"Yes, my lion."
"What will be the name of the baby?"
"Umm... If it's a boy then Shahzain and if it's a girl then Arwa."
"It will be a girl." Asad said confidently.
"And how you are so sure?" Qaina asked him.
"Because I will marry her."
Four of them were shocked at his answer.
And then suddenly Qaina shrieked.
"My water broke!"
And all of them ran to the hospital.
That morning was the most beautiful morning of Asad's life of four years when Arwa Shahnawaz Naqvi was born.
