Chapter 25

Graduation

Losing Control

2 years later...

"Amy Andrews"

I felt nervous as I knew my name was next.

I looked into the crowd seeing my family and friends and I felt myself relax.

I moved my eyes to look at her..

She smiled at me and I smiled back..

"Lilleth Anderson" the principle called.

I walked up on stage, accepting my diploma as the students cheered.

High school was finally over.

Thank god..

The nervousness of graduation was gone. Now I had only one more thing to be nervous of..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Congratulations, baby" my mom hugged me, nearly squishing me to death..
I laughed "okay, mom. That's enough... no tears.."
"I know" she said as she wiped them away. "But my baby is all grown up"
Oh god.. mom..
I had ended up telling her about me and Taylor a year ago..
She was beyond livid. I was grounded for months, which of course I snuck out to see Taylor, nightly.
But eventually after she realized I wasn't going to give up on Taylor she was less mad..
It took a few months but she came to accept Taylor and she now considered her a daughter.
"I'm gonna go say hi to my friends.. I love you, mom"
"I love you too, sweetie"
I spotted Lacy, grinning at me as I walked towards her.
"Oh my god.. we graduated.. can you believe it?" She exclaimed.
I laughed. "Hell no.. it hasn't even sunk in yet"
"So how are you and Chad doing?" I asked.
"We're doing good. He told me he loved me yesterday" she grinned.
"Oh my god, Lacy. That is amazing. Congratulations"  I responded as I hugged her.
"How about you and Taylor?" She asked.
Through time Lacy became a good friend and I eventually told her. To say she was shocked was an understatement but she gladly accepted us..
"We're amazing"
"That's awesome" she replied.
"Oh. Chad just got here. Catch up with you later?"
I nodded in agreement.
A few moments later, I nearly fell as someone jumped on my back from behind.
I instantly knew it was Carter.
"Hey, bitch" he greeted me.
"Hey, hoe" I responded.
Blossom and Jake were right behind him.
"You nervous, Lil?" Blossom asked me.
"Is that even a question?" I asked.
They all chuckled.
"You'll be fine" Jake reassured me.
I smiled at my group of friends.
"So how does it feel? To finally graduate?" Carter asked.
"Amazing" I gushed.
Blossom nodded in agreement.
Jake looked at his watch. "Shit. We have to start getting everything ready.. You and Tay are meeting us there right?"
Him and Carter were throwing a friends and family graduation party for me and Blossom, celebrating the end of high school.. or as I like to call it, Hell..
"Yep" I smiled.
"Alright. Love you, Lil" he hugged me.
"Love you too, Jake"
I hugged Carter and Blossom.
"I love you guys.. I'll see you soon"
"Love you" they both said in usion.
And I headed to find Tay.
After about 15 minutes I found her, talking to a student, no doubt congratulating her.
"Hey, Roper. You mind if I borrow you for a sec?"
She smiled "Of course, Lilleth.. Congratulations again, Brooke"
"Come walk with me" I told her.
We started walking towards a balcony that was away from the ceremony.
The place that was sponsoring the ceremony added a balcony that over looked a lake, decorating the balcony with white lights.
It was a warm starry night, with a slight breeze and nothing slight of perfect.
I was relieved when I saw no one here and glad to be a good distance from where everybody was.
"God.. it's such a beautiful night" Taylor exclaimed.
"It sure is" I agreed.
We leaned against the wooden railing and I intertwined my hand with hers.
"I can't believe it's finally graduation. It seems like yesterday, that you were walking into my classroom for the first time" she smiled.
I looked at the love of my life, her eyes shining along with the moon.
I was mentally preparing myself..
"You look so beautiful" I said to her.
She looked at me, smiling.
"So do you, Love" she responded.
It's been 2 years since that night she told me she couldn't stay away from me and right she was for the both of us.
We were done fooling ourselves that we could stay away from each other. She was my other half and I to hers..
I started to feel myself get nervous again, so I took a deep breath..
"Taylor?"
"Yes?" She asked me.
"You are the love of my life. I think about a future without you in it but I can't. Everytime I try, something stops it and that's because a future without you in it, is no future at all. I can't bare the thought of not being with you forever. I look at people who are together for a year, fall out of love and I feel bad for them, because I've been with you for 2 years and I haven't fallen one bit out of love with you, but instead I fall in love you more, every single day"
She had tears streaming down her face at this point and I realized I did too.
My heart pounded as I bent down and rested on one knee, pulling it out of my pocket.
"Taylor Roper, the most amazing and beautiful girl I know... Will you be my wife?"
It felt like forever, when in reality was probably only a few seconds..
"Yes" she cried, crashing her lips against mine.
I smiled into the kiss and picked her up, spinning her.
She said yes..
She said yes, Lilleth...
Oh my god.. she said yes..
"Oh my god.. I love you so much, Lily" she said as she rested her head against mine.
"I love you too, Tay" I replied as I felt that part of me that was filling the emptiness inside me, lock into place.
Forever...
