Chapter 23

*Shenu's pov*

My whole body is burning. I feel like my whole body is in a volcano. I want to scream, but my lips are sealed. Everything was dark. I want to open my eyes, but it feels like they are glued. I heard faint voices. I want to move my body. Yet no matter how harder I try, I couldn't. Little by little the voices become clear to me.

"It was a war out there. It was really hard to convince him to leave with others." I heard jin oppa said with a sigh.

"I can understand him. As an alpha, the urge he has to stay with his mate in these kind of situation is normal." it was the Luna's voice.

"But why others have to leave too?" Jin oppa questioned.

"Her heat not only affect her mate. It's affect other unmated wolfs also. So they have to stay away from her until her heat is over." Luna said with a sigh. Heat??? What are they talking about? I tried again to move or open my eyes, but couldn't. Soon these actions made me exhausted and darkness surrounded me.

I heard sounds of yelling and tried to focus on what are they saying.

"Why isn't she waking up doctor? It has been two days already!" I heard the concern voice of Jisoo.

"She was late on her heat cause her wolf was locked inside her body for too long. Now her wolf is out and the heat also.So her body needs to adjust to these new changes. That's why her mind and body wouldn't let her wake up until she adjust to the changes. She will probably wake up after her heat is over. " I heard a unknown voice saying. Then it was silent until I heard footsteps went away. Second later I heard a deep sigh. Someone is still hear.

"Relax Jisoo! She will be okay." I heard the voice of Seguli. "I brought the laptop here, so that we can watch the boys new song. It will release soon. We should watch it. Shenu may hear it." That was the last thing I heard Seguli saying when again darkness surrounded me.

I was in the wood surrounded by trees. Everything was green around me. The ground was filled with fresh green grasses and beautiful flowers. I looked around in dazed. It was a sight to see. Suddenly I felt a present behind me and turn to find a beautiful pure white wolf was standing there looking at me. My first instincts was to run away, but something about this wolf made me fell a attachment towards it. It sat down in the ground waiting for me to do anything or say anything.

"Who are you?" I questioned slowly stepping forward. It stand-up making me stop on my steps.

"I am your wolf" I heard a voice in my head. I widened my eyes hearing that oh-so familiar voice cause this is the voice that I heard that day in my head. I looked at it in shock and saw it was wagging its' tail happily. My wolf? Then everything clicked in my mind. I start to remember everything what happened. I shifted. I shifted into a wolf. I am a were-wolf.

"Yes you are! And I am finally happy to meet you!" It exclaimed happily and came towards me. I knelled in front of it and ran my fingers on its' silky soft fur. It purred at satisfaction earning a chuckle from me.She is beautiful! I feel proud to have a beautiful wolf like her. But where did I get a wolf? Where was she whole this time?

"I was locked inside your body. When you was born, I was there in your body. But neither I could talk to you nor shift until that day when I saw our mate is in danger. I was able to break the walls you created around me." She explained and I nodded my head at her understandingly. But how could I be a were-wolf?

"I know that there is lot of questions in your mind right now, but you should wake up now. Everyone is worried about us. Your body is ready to accept me now. So wake up!" she said in my mind. I nodded my head at her but suddenly remembered something.

"Jewel!" I called her. She titled her head into a side in confusion. "That's your name. Jewel! Do you like it?" She nodded her head while wagging her tail. Cute!

"Now wake up!"

I slowly opened my eyes and felt something different in me. I saw the Luna is staring at me with wide eyes. I blinked several times and opened my mouth to say something when I heard a low growl coming out from my mouth. I widened my eyes and that's when I noticed that my body is covered with white fur. I am still in my wolf form.

"Oh my God! You are finally awake!" She squealed finally coming out from her shock state. "Okay now don't panic sweetie! You are still in your wolf form. You need to shift." She said and stand up to get a big blanket. She put it on me. "Now concentrate on your mind and think about your human body. Your wolf will help you to shift back." I nodded my head at her and did what she asked. After back few seconds I heard bones snapping and opened my eyes to see my naked body covered in a blanket. I slowly sat down holding the blanket securely against my bare chest. As soon as I sat down she hugged me tightly telling how worried she was.

"Water?" my voice came out raspy. She instantly released her hug and rushed to pour me a glass of water. When she handed me the glass I gulped it eagerly in one go and handed her the empty glass. Just as she was about to say something the door to my bedroom slam opened. There stood Jungkook with silver eyes. His eyes darkened when his eyes landed on me. Shit! I am in a big trouble. Cause Nick clearly said me to never to leave him, but look what I did and where it ended. Luna stand up from my bed and I begged her silently from my eyes to stay with me. I don't want to be alone with a pissed-off wolf. Specially if it's Nick.

"Leave!" Nick's voice startled both of us. Luna sent me a apologetic smile and excite the room without a word. Nick slowly walked towards me with a intense gaze. I tighten the grip on my blanket as he sat in front of me. What should I do? Should I run?

'Relax! He wouldn't hurt us. He is our mate. Beside did you think that he would let you run around the pack house naked?' I heard a familiar voice in my head. Jewel! How could I forget her? I have a wolf now. I was brought out from my thoughts when two hands wrapped around me tightly. He hugged me tightly like there is no tomorrow and buried his head in my neck inhaling my scent. Thousands of sparkles went trough my body and that sent chills down my spine. He is hugging my almost naked body. The only thing preventing him from seeing my body is this thin piece of fabric. He broke the hug and stared into my eyes sternly.

"Do you know how hard it was for me love. I almost went insane without you."

"And what did I say about leaving me?"he asked holding my bare shoulders tightly. Oh my God! This is what I was scared about. What should I say? I looked down avoiding eye-contact. He placed his right hand under my chin and force me to look at his eyes lifting my face. His eyes was glowing and that's happen only when he is super pissed. My body start to shake from the fear and tears welled up on my eyes. He really has a huge effect on me.

"N-Nick I-I didn-" I started with a shaky voice but stopped when his lips slammed onto mine. My eyes widened and I stiffed in shock. My heart skipped a beat. He is kissing me. HE IS FREAKING KISSING ME! His eyes was closed and he start to move his lips on mine slowly. It took me few seconds to relax my body and I start to kiss back. I was slowly closing my eyes when his eyes opened for a flip second which was chocolate brown before it closed again. But I was too caught up on the situation to care whether it was Jungkook or Nick who is kissing me. I closed my eyes and we moved our lips on each other in sync. It was sweet,gentle yet a passionate kiss. He wrapped a one hand around my neck and other one around my bare back and pulled me closer deepening the kiss. My heart start to beat faster like it would jump out any moment. I never wanted to end this moment, but we have to parted away for much needed air. Jungkook pulled away first and his eyes was still closed.

Suddenly he opened his eyes wide and looked at me with shock. I gave him a confused look. He removed his hand on me and backed away from me. He looked around in panic and grabbed his hair in frustration. I start to get more confused with his actions.

"I am sorry!" he looked into my eyes and said those three words which destroyed my little happy bubble I had for a while. My wolf start to whimper inside my body. Is he regretting our kiss? His eyes softened seeing my pained eyes. He slowly brought his hand to touch my cheek but pulled it back suddenly and leaved the room in a rush. I stayed there silently sobbing. What the heck happened? He just stole my first kiss! And he think it as a mistake.

WHY? Why cant't he accept me?

'You are just a second chance sweetie' I remembered those words of Hyungsik. What did he mean?

"Finally!" I looked behind my back as i finished up buttoning my shirt to see all the boys along with Jisoo and Seguli standing at my door frame. Both girls throw them self at me, hugging me tightly squeezing life out of me.

"Can't- Breath-" I said patting their backs and they backed up with a cheeky grin. And soon after the rest of the boys gave me a hug. I hugged everyone and sat on the bed without uttering a single word. They all frowned looking at my reaction.

"What's wrong baby?" Jin oppa asked grabbing both of my hands while sitting in front of me. The rest followed and sat around the room making them self comfortable and looked at me for a answer. I pulled away my hands and sighed.

"Don't you guys have something important to say that everyone hid from me?" I questioned making everyone stiff in their positions.

"What are you talking about Shenu?" Jisoo said nervously

"I am talking about Jungkook's second chance!" They widened their eyes in shock. "Will you guys tell me or should I have to find out about it from other pack members?" I questioned feeling hurt of the fact that they kept something from me. They all looked at me guiltily.

"We didn't mean to keep anything from you sis. It just it wasn't our place to tell you this. We wanted to Jungkook to say it to you." J-hope oppa explained.

"Well since he wouldn't someone of you should!" I said and it came a little bit harsh. They all shared a look and nodded their heads at each other.

"you already know the story of Jungkook's birth which mum told you" Jisoo started. "Well there is a one part she missed." I furrowed my eyebrows at her. " When moon goddess showed up the king and queen also was there. The goddess said that the strongest alpha's mate would be born in to the king and queen. And she gave a one wish to the queen to use it when it needed. And one year after Jungkook's birth the queen got pregnant. At first everyone thought it was Woobin's mate cause they thought that Woobin is the one that goddess told about. When the queen was six months pregnant, suddenly rouges attack the royal pack to kill the future princess. So the queen made a wish to transfer her baby into her sister's womb and she secretly sent her away from the palace to join the our pack." Jisoo said and looked at my face for any reaction.

"They killed her!" I said as realization hits me . They all looked at me shocked and confused. "I had a dream about it." I said and they all looked more confused of how I am having the dreams about the past. They all stayed silent for a while letting me to grasped the details.

"At first they all pitied Woobin, but later they found out it was Jungkook who lost his mate. He grow up knowing that his mate is dead. Everyone thought that he wouldn't never have an other mate cause moon goddess specially made a mate for him. And she was gone. Rouges constantly attacked our pack to take it down and kill him. That's what made him into a monster. Nick went insane knowing that he wouldn't have a mate. And he really got tired of the attacks. That's why he became a beast. Jungkook trained harder to become stronger.And he succeed. He was cold rude alpha when we met him. Taehyung was the one who was able to at-least make him friendly. But we couldn't change his wolf. Heck! Even Jungkook himself can't change his wolf. He always said that he wouldn't be weak without a mate. He said he can be stronger even without a mate and he doesn't want a second chance. He saw a mate as a weakness. That is the reason why he didn't want to accept you." Namjoon oppa explained looking extremely guilt. I stayed silent listening to whole story.

"So after all I am just a second chance!" I said bitterly

"No pumpkin! You are not a second chance. His original mate died even before she was born. So you are his first mate! You are his first chance!" Tae said to assure me.

"You are our hope baby. You are the only one keeping Nick sane. You don't know how Nick was before he met you, but now he is changing. Just because of you. You are the only one who can tame that beast dear." Jin oppa said grabbing both of my hands again. Suga oppa knelled in front of me.

"No matter what, now you are his mate. You are our Luna petal!" Suag oppa said hugging me. I buried my head into his chest to comfort my mind. After a while I pulled away from him and gave a light smile to everyone. They all sighed finally relaxing except one person who saw my pain right through my forced smile. Tae. He gave me a concerned look.

Like he said I am his first mate, but not the original mate. I am just a second chance. A fake one to cover the original one. My wolf howled inside my mind in pain.

And Jungkook doesn't want a fake one.
