Chapter 38

I'm The White Wolf

Hi,

Presenting Chapter 38 which is dedicated to @ellerilla :D

****

"Power isn't control at all - power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn't someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own."

― Beth Revis, Across the Universe

TEMPLAR P.O.V

I snarled in rage and bared my claws and fangs to Louis, who turned an ashen shade when he saw me.

"Did you say yes to a war?" I demanded in a vicious tone. "Did you say yes to the killings of innocents of wolves who have no intention to enter a war?" my tone was turning animalistic every passing second. "You went against your word" I pointed my index at Louis and standing up, he swallowed audibly.

I started walking towards Louis as I continued talking, "I had told you that I will not tolerate false accusations against me and I only want reasonable judgment. You assured me you would be fair. This is you being fair?" I bellowed glaring at him and he shook his head. "This is how you provide justice?" I snarled.

"Look at him" I thundered pointing at Alton and many heads turned to look at him. "Look into his eyes. There is indubitable fear in it and he is the Beta of a pack. Ask him why he is so scared. ASKHIM" I roared at the end and everybody flinched.

"See... this is what she does people. She is threatening others. Alton is perfectly fine. Why would he be scared? The bitch is making all this up to save her ass" Reece said with a smirk.

Moving swifter than a wind, I stood right in front of his face. Reece was so taken aback that he stumbled backwards and fell on his butt near my feet. The crowd had gasped in surprise.

"Repeatit" I challenged and I swear, I could hear Reece's heart pounding in his chest. "I can kill you with my eyes closed wolf" I hissed and once again everyone gasped. "But you are someone else's enemy more than you are mine" I spat in disgust and walked away, leaving Reece speechless.

While I walked towards Louis, Rett connected with me through the link and spoke, 'DayDusk and BlackRaven have already attacked the BlueBells. Our wolves and FireLight ones are on the way' he said and I nodded. I was glad Grant Ganalla agreed to send his fighters. These two were the packs closest to BlueBells and hence they could do much to them by the time my pack wolves reach there.

'Ask Grant and Marco to tell the BlueBells that they were sent by the white wolf' I commanded. 'I don't want anyone dead. Just captured alive' I added firmly.

"And as for you" I began glaring at Louis and Dennis, who were trembling like leaves, "You had your chance and you blew it" I said furiously to Louis. "You went against your word. In your resentment to me, you forgot the difference between right and wrong. You both will be punished for it" I roared and both fell on their knees.

"It's time that I set right what has always been wrong" I thundered and then faced the audience, who were all standing up and staring at me with big round eyes. "It is now time for me to set right what has always been wrong. I ignored it, pretended to be blind and for it, I was punished by my mother." My eyes were blurry in anger as I spoke those words. "But I swore to her, that I will not return to her until everything is right here" I pointed my index to the ground. "I am the Moon Goddess's daughter. I am the white wolf and I am the leader that my mother wants me to be" I shouted extending my hands and the crowd raised their hands high in the air and cheered.

For quite some time, I stood there trembling in rage, while I stared at the audience who were still cheering me. Then I placed my right hand over my heart. Very soon the audience did the same, but they also leant on one knee and bowed their head.

They accepted me as their leader!

I then focused my attention on Reece, who was now standing on his feet and staring at the audience with wide eyes. "I begin my first duty by cleaning the dirt in BlueBells" I ground out lethally and Reece gulped.

"Your pack is being attacked as I speak" I spat and people looked at each other in confusion. "All the wolves that you have imprisoned are being freed" Alton as well as the others, looked at each other. "Call your father Alton. Talk to him" I ordered without taking my eyes off Reece's golden ones.

With shaky hands Alton pulled out his cellphone and ringed his father. Nearly seven rings later, his father answered, "Son" he called. Alton heaved a sigh and fell on his knees.

"You are safe" Alton whispered after some time and I smirked, while Reece turned as white as milk.

"Yes, Templar has sent DayDusk wolves to save us. We just got free" he answered.

"Oh! Thank Goddess. Thank Goddess" Alton cried. I looked at the Sorority Chiefs, who were still on their knees and now joined hands together in a pleading gesture. They looked scared to death.

"Thank-you" I turned to look at Alton, who was watching me with teary eyes.

"Repay your debt by speaking the truth" I commanded and Alton nodded nervously. He stood up straight and walked past Reece, who shot him a look of pure disbelief.

"Earlier, I was coerced into lying" Alton started and slowly, I closed my eyes. "He... my own pack Alpha had imprisoned and tortured my parents. He threatened to kill them if I went against him. Reece came to know that I helped Templar....." Alton then uttered every single truth about Randall, and also about what exactly happened the day I trespassed into their territory after losing control to my wolf.

"We do not want to enter into a war with WaterWave Pack. Reece has dominated us and compelled us into agreeing to it" he remarked and I sighed, while some people in the crowd gasped, totally stunned at Reece's tyrant rule. "Forgive me, White wolf for lying" Alton pleaded at the end and I gave a nod, without looking at him.

The other witness of BlueBells, who had lied earlier, now spoke the truth and Reece started growling violently whenever he would hear them.

"I will now ask you all-" I turned to look at the audience as I began. "-if you still agree with the decision taken by your Sorority Chiefs?"

"Hell no!"

"They denied justice"

"Who made them the chiefs?"

"Kill them. Kill Reece"

"Change the chiefs. These three are hopeless"

"Louis and Dennis must be removed from their position"

I took in a long breath and turned to look at Louis, "I told you, if your judgment is considered unjust by majority of the audience here, then you will have to kiss your seat goodbye."

Louis sobbed and then lowered his head until it touched the ground. "Forgive me oh great daughter of the Goddess! Forgive me" he cried and very soon Dennis joined him.

Clenching my fists, I snarled loudly after hearing their fake words but neither of them raised their heads.

"Your punishment is that you give up the title and the position you have here" I announced after some time and all three Sorority Chiefs nodded. My gaze turned tender as I looked at Carl. "You did not do any wrong like them Carl" I told him gently and he smiled kindly. "But you did not fight for what is right either" I established the obvious.

"I know" Carl said lowering his gaze.

"You have to let go of your title too Carl. Let someone new join because you have been here for a long, long time"

"I understand" Carl sighed and after bowing his head, he stood up and slowly walked away to where his family was seated in the crowd.

"Go. Go back to where you came from" I told the other two chiefs and both were out of my sight sooner than possible.

Reece's growl caught my attention and I turned my head and focused narrowed gaze on him. "You might have gotten away this time, but it will not happen again" Reece said spitefully and I smirked.

"Nexttime? You still think I will give you another chance?" I asked amused and Reece frowned. "When I spared your life the last time, I told you I would not repeat it if you disrespect me again and today, you disrespected me... repeatedly" I growled viciously.

"What are you going to do? Kill me? Do it! Show them all what a crazy bitch you really are" Reece laughed.

I shook my head calmly, "Like I said earlier, you are someone else's enemy more than you are mine and today, that person is going to challenge you."

Reece scowled at me, "Who is that person?" he asked cocking an eyebrow.

My eyes flickered to Alton, who gasped and took a step back before shaking his head. "Alton?" Reece laughed as I gnashed my even teeth against each other.

"No. I... I cannot" Alton stuttered and shot me a pleading look.

I glared at Alton and my wolf growled ferociously. He wants me to help him... always! When will he stand up for himself? She stated in my mind.

"This is the one and only chance you have Alton. Lookatme" I snapped in rage when he lowered his head. Gulping, Alton did as told when noticing the change in my tone. "You can save your pack, save yourself. You better than anyone else know how you have suffered from under Reece's rule. This is your chance to fight back" I said savagely and Alton nodded.

"He has not suffered from my rule. He is the Beta of my pack" Reece growled at me while Alton clenched his fists.

"Lower that voice wolf" I snarled maliciously focusing my furious gaze on Reece. "Talk to me, when I talk to you."

"You cannot control me" Reece bellowed and clenching my fists, I moved towards him and punched him in the stomach.

"Careful" I hissed while Reece groaned in pain. "I can tear you into shreds sooner than you can think. But that will be too easy a death for you and I have never given easy deaths to anyone" I added venomously.

Then I strode towards Alton, who stiffened when he saw me. Since my wolf was controlling most of my actions, I knew I looked intimidating. "What do you still fear about wolf?" I demanded. "You have my protection as well as your packs support. The only thing you need is your own spirit. Do you still have it or did you lose it already?" I taunted and Alton growled at me.

I smirked as I heard it because I knew my words were getting to him.

"No one can destroy my spirit" Alton said grinding his even teeth together.

"You might be a beta's son. But you have every caliber of being an Alpha. I trust you. Do you trust yourself?" I questioned and raised my chin haughtily.

"I do" Alton answered.

"Then challenge him" I commanded and Alton nodded. Bowing his head in reverence, he then marched to stand facing Reece, who bared his fangs when he saw his beta defying him.

Alton closed his eyes, took a deep breath and opened them, to reveal emerald green irises. "I had enough of your lunacy. Either you give up the title on your own will or I challenge you and take it from you" Aton breathed out curtly and I raised my brows, impressed.

Reece's body shook violently as he glared at Alton. "I had killed my own parents, my own brother for the title" Reece growled in rage completely unaware of the shock the audience had in their faces after hearing the bitter truth. His confession even stunned me but then, Alton's father had already told us that they suspected Reece had killed his family too. "And do you think I will hand it over to you... my bootlicking beta?" Reece queried and then shifted into his large gold wolf.

Alton followed and shifted into his red wolf. We, who were standing in the ground, spread apart so that they could fight in ease.

Soon both the wolves lunged at each other. Alton was comparatively shorter in height but I still felt that he could take on Reece if he gave his best shot.

First Reece attacked and bit Alton in the neck. I stiffened as Alton cried in pain, but then he quickly kicked Reece off him and rolling over, he stood on his fours and rushed towards Reece. Jumping atop Reece, Alton bit him hard, ripping a good amount of his fur and piercing Reece's skin.

Rett stood next to me and I glanced at him, to see that his pacific blue eyes were focused on Alton's every move.

Reece fought back and standing on his hind-limbs he was capable of throwing Alton off him. As Alton composed himself, Reece attacked him and repeatedly scratched him with his claws. I clenched my fists as I saw that. Alton snapped his jaws next to Reece's muzzle and rammed his head against Reece's ribcage that sent him a few steps back.

Quickly standing upright, Alton's red wolf leapt at Reece's gold wolf and tackled him on the ground. As Reece struggled to push Alton off him, he suffered quite a few injuries from Alton's claws and canines. The best one was when Alton bit his ears.

Reece kicked Alton's wolf away, but whined repeatedly only to see that his pointed ears were now torn by Alton. Growling murderously Reece attacked Alton with full force that had me stand ramrod straight. I watched as Reece bit Alton's neck after pinning him to the ground.

Baring my fangs, I started walking to where they were, but Everett held my arms and shook his head. "This is his fight" Everett reminded me and after taking a long breath, I nodded grudgingly. I turned to look at Alton, who was still on the ground taking in Reece's violent attacks.

My wolf snarled vehemently but I tried to push her back, refusing to shift and help Alton.

Suddenly a girl in the crowd stood up, "Get up Alton" she encouraged. "Get up and fight back."

After hearing her, more and more people started cheering for Alton and soon majority in the audience where cheering for Alton. The rest, were just silent spectators. They were not cheering for Reece either.

"Get up Alton" the BlueBells wolves too started cheering and I smiled in satisfaction when I saw that.

Their encouraging words must have been a much needed boost for Alton because he growled louder than Reece did and using all his four limbs, he kicked Reece's gold wolf, who went flying in the air before landing at least ten feet away from Alton's wolf.

Alton stood up on his fours and dropping his jaws, he bared all his fangs before going to attack Reece. He lunged at Reece and pushing him to the ground, he repeatedly bit Reece on the neck. Reece fought back. Scratched Alton repeatedly in the face, but nothing stopped Alton because he bit Reece hard on the neck, ripping a good amount of flesh from Reece's body.

Few she-wolves in the crowd winced when they saw that, while those who supported Alton cheered victoriously. Reece's wolf slumped on the ground and lay there trying to breathe but it was difficult because Alton almost broke his windpipe.

Alton turned to look at me and lowering his body and drawing his ears back, he offered submission to me. I nodded once and standing up straight, Alton turned to look at his former Alpha.

Reece's breathing was getting ragged every passing second and I knew he only had few minutes of life left in him. He couldn't shift back because his wounds were very deep.

The crowd grew silent after some time, all eyes focused on Reece's gold wolf. "Get him some water" I told to no one in particular. It was Alton himself who shifted back, wore shorts and brought water to Reece.

He knelt next to Reece's wolf and gently poured water on his mouth. Reece gulped a little before taking one last breath. Alton slowly ran his hands on Reece's eyes, closing it shut. "Give him a funeral that every other Alpha gets" I told him and Alton nodded.

Walking ahead, I once again faced the crowd and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the new Alpha of BlueBells- Alpha Alton McNamara."

Alton stood a few steps behind me and placing a hand on his heart, he stated, "I promise to serve and protect my pack. I promise to put up their needs before my own and live up to their expectations." Few in the crowd clapped after hearing his words, while others acknowledged it. "And last but not the least-" Alton added, "-I promise never to make the white wolf regret her decision of making me the Alpha." As I turned and smiled, pleased to hear his words, Alton genuflected and dropped his head.

"Do you wish to go back to your pack Alton?" I asked in a low voice after everyone sat in their seats.

"I do" he answered.

"Very well then. You can leave with your pack" I told him and sighing, he turned to look at the audience and extended his hand. The girl, who had cheered for him earlier, stood up with a bright smile and rushed towards him.

Oh! Alton found his mate.

After nodding, he walked away with her, while five wolves from BlueBells carried Reece's wolf away.

"Before continuing, I want to say that since we all are present here; I think it is right time to appoint new chiefs to the Sorority" I declared.

"Agreed"

"Yes. Someone better than the last three"

"Someone who is neutral"

"How about..." they kept on suggesting names and I shook my head as I heard it. Everyone was suggesting someone who was either related or close to them. At first it was just people screaming their names, soon they started insulting the candidates chosen by others. Growls after growls were being heard and I tensed as I heard it.

Beside me Rett yawned audibly and I elbowed him in the ribs. He fake winced and then shot me a guilty smile that dazed me. Even in the midst of this chaos, I could simply sit and stare at him dreamily. Knowing that my thoughts would drift to some inappropriate sides, I quickly shook my head and focused on the crowd.

I narrowed my eyes when I saw that fangs and claws were on display.

My wolf stepped forward and I growled so loudly that it echoed around the arena. A ghastly silence spread and every single head turned to look at me. I was glaring at them, furious that they could be fighting even on such a thing.

"Enough" I bellowed and they gulped. "I called for this meeting to set things right and maintain peace. Not create another war between packs" I hissed in fury and some people lowered their head in shame.

"My apologies white wolf" Alpha Landon Knaster of RedHawk Pack said ruefully. "But this particular issue is bound to create a rift between packs" the middle-aged Alpha added quietly and I compressed my lips to form a thin line while majority wolves agreed with him.

I was silent for a long time and as my eyes roamed over the crowd, I came up with a solution that I thought would control the situation for some time.

"Agreed" I told and once again, the crowd got silenced by my loud voice. "I have come up with a solution to the problem. If you feel it is unfair, then tell me so" I stated and several pairs of eyes widened and eyebrows shot up questioningly.

Okay, come on Templar, you are brave, you are strong... you can convince them that his solution is best at present.

'Deep breath' Rett told through the link and I took such a long breath, that I was surprised by lungs did not burst.

"I have come to a solution that I, myself choose three judges for the Sorority" I said and some accepted the solution, but some like I expected frowned and growled at me. "I know, it seems unfair but then again, I do not know every one of you here. It might take me days, months or even a year or two to become familiar with all of you. But we cannot keep the Sorority on hold until then" I told them and few people nodded in understanding, while others kept staring at me with a frown or bitterly.

'Explain it to them. Make them understand your point of view' Rett advised cooly.

"Earlier influence used to work in selecting the judges. Surely the Alphas' were the ones who used to vote and elect the judges but the file containing the names of suitable candidates was given to the Alphas' by the former judges. I am very sure that majority of you are not satisfied with that method or even the one I just suggested. But this is the only thing that will help us now. The Sorority Chief's are to be changed every five years. However no change had taken place three years ago and hence Louis, Dennis and Clark were the judges for three more years. They were supposed to quit after two years. Hence, I suggest that for the next two years, let the judges selected by me be the chiefs of the Sorority." I suggested.

'Well done' Rett said through the link and I smiled, happy that he was pleased.

"And what's going to happen after these two years are over?" someone from the crowd queried.

"After two years, all the Alphas' elect new judges" I answered calmly.

'How will the judges be elected? Election?' Rett demanded.

'Yes' I answered and he furrowed his brows.

"Who will be the candidates?" a woman asked.

I smiled after hearing it and looking at the woman who asked the question, I said calmly, "my mother, the moon goddess herself always tells me that no one can stop destiny. After every five years, the former judges of Sorority will each pick up a pack name written on a chit. Those packs will pick two candidates; a male and a female whom they think deserve to be the chiefs of the Sorority. All the remaining packs Alpha as well as the Luna will vote for any one of the candidates and three highest vote receiving candidates will be appointed as the new chief of the Sorority. It will all be on destiny. So, who all agree with this solution?" I questioned at the end.

One by one, the Alphas' raised their hand and very soon, the sixteen Alphas' in front of my eyes had raised their hands in agreement.

"I have a question" Alpha Bane Kincaid of GreyStone Pack said and I shot him a go-ahead look. "What's the guarantee that the chiefs elected by you will be good? What do we do if they are unfair?"

After hearing this, my wolf came at forefront and Bane's icy blue eyes rounded when he saw my red ones. "If they are unfair, you contact me" I told in a savage tone, giving him the guarantee he needed.

"Fair enough" Bane said after some time and sat down.

"So, who are the three new Chiefs?" Everett asked me before anyone else could.

Sighing, I replied to him as well as the curious crowd, "I have picked three amongst the people I know. I have picked these three people because I think they will be rational and unbiased in their judgment. The first chief is former Alpha Efron Green of GreenRock Pack."

'Dad? Why would you pick my dad?' Everett asked totally spooked by my choice. 'He was never good to you.'

'True. But he was good to others and well-respected as an Alpha. And besides, now, time has changed and he has changed as a person too and I think he would judge wisely' I said sincerely.

'Yeah, well...' Rett trailed off and I smiled at him.

'Trust me. He is perfect for this' I assured him and Rett nodded.

Meanwhile, everyone in the crowd was staring at Alpha Ron who was standing and staring at me with wide eyes.

I turned to look at the lady who announces stuff and she immediately asked for Alpha Ron to come down. He did, still unable to take his eyes off mine.

"I hope you live up to the expectations of every wolf out there, Alpha" I told him with a warm smile.

"You-you sure?" he stuttered.

"I am" I answered confidently.

Alpha Ron then turned to look at Rett, who nodded encouragingly. Taking a deep breath, Alpha Ron bowed once at me and then went to stand in the platform. The crowd clapped in acceptance. I was sure they wouldn't have any problem with me selecting Alpha Ron.

"The second judge, whom I picked is Ophelia Killain, the former Luna of WaterWave Pack" I announced with a wide smile and Ophelia's eyes widened in horror.

'What? No!' she gasped through the link.

'Come now.... You know you are fit for this... inspector' Jan teased through the link and I chuckled.

'Why mom?' Keith asked confused.

'She has that emotive angle. Plus she is a very calm and composed person. We need one such as the chief' I told him and he nodded with a smile.

'Templar, I cannot do this sweetie... ' Ophelia said through the link.

'I don't think so. I think... no. I know you deserve to be a chief of the Sorority' I told her. 'You are kind, patient, rational, calm, honest and impartial. Come on, come down. We need someone like you to assure us that there are still some very good people in this world' I added and wiping her tears, Ophelia nodded.

Some people in the crowd had questions on my choice, but I clarified it to them saying the exact same things I said to Ophelia. I trusted her completely and I knew she would always be a peacekeeper in the Sorority.

Everyone clapped as Ophelia marched towards the platform. Once she reached me, she hugged me and closing my eyes, I wrapped my arms around her. 'I still thank the Goddess for sending you that day to the dungeon. For sending me... my hope'she said through the link and I swallowed the sob that was caught in my throat.

When I opened my eyes they were blurry, but I blinked rapidly so that I do not cry.

After Ophelia stood next to Alpha Ron, I faced the crowd. Okay, now... I definitely needed the blessing of everyone. The last name that I announce will create outrage among the majority of the population here, but I think this person truly deserves to be one of the Sorority chiefs.

"Who is the last chief?" someone in the crowd asked.

"The third and the last chief of the Sorority, picked by me is Zander Roach, former Beta of WhiteField Pack" I decreed dexterously.

People gasped, stared at me in unconcealed shock and looked at each other, to make sure that what they heard was correct.

'Nice choice' Rett said through the link and I let out a relieved breath because I was very happy that I had my mate's support. It meant a lot to me.

My eyes drifted towards where Zander was sat at and I found him with a dumbstruck look in his face. His friends, who were with him, were very happy at my choice because they had this big grin in their face.

I glanced at the crowd that had different types of people. I could classify them as five groups. The first group just accepted my decision blindly and I realized that this group of people would do anything I tell only because I am the Goddess's daughter. I didn't know what to make out of them. The second group accepted my decision because they felt it was right. I respected that group. Then there was the third group that had doubts in their mind. They would ask questions and only when their doubt was clarified they would accept my decision. I respected them too. The fourth group was the one who thought I was misusing my position. They would point it out and when I assured them, I wasn't doing any such thing; they would calm down and accept my decision. I did not hate that group... because they had a right to be suspicious of me, because trust has to be earned. The last group contained very few people but they were the real nasty ones, who just disliked my decision because I chose a rogue. I could not tolerate such people.

"You cannot make him the head of the Sorority. He is a rogue" some said in outrage and my wolf bristled.

"He does not fit amongst us" another said and I growled.

"He is a wolf first" I ground out lethally, narrowing my eyes at the man. Unable to hold my gaze, the man looked away. Growling once more, I looked at the crowd, "Who are rogues?" I demanded after the crowd grew silent. "They are wolves, just like you and me. The rebellious streak in them is far more powerful than it is in ours. Hence, they give up pack life and choose to live on their own terms. I respect their choice as long as they do not harm another life." Sighing, I continued talking, "Have you ever wondered what happens to those wolves after they leave the pack? They will be alone out there, in a world full of strange creatures, striving to survive and in that quest, these wolves often chose the wrong way. There are very few like Zander, who after leaving his pack, made a life of his own, which is well regarded by everyone. But that is not why I chose Zander. I chose him because he helps many such directionless wolves. He gives them work, motivates them, teaches them the difference between right and wrong. As long as there are people like Zander Roach, I will always be sure that not all rogues are bad. That is why he gets my utmost respect" I declared out loud, extending a hand to Zander's direction. The people, who called him rogue earlier, now lowered their head ruefully.

"He is a person who had kept my daughter safe after she left the pack" Marco Thompson said loudly and every single head turned to look at him. "I think he deserves to be here and I think he deserves to be the chief of the Sorority."

"He has been a great help to me in tracing the person responsible for hurting my mate. I trust him and I know he is a great choice as one of the chiefs" Everett told the crowd.

"Often I have called Zander and asked him to look after the wolves who had left my pack. He promised he would and he never went against his word" Alpha Ron said and I was glad he spoke up for Zander too.

"He is there for those we ignore. Those who we consider no-hopers. Those wolves, who were just like us once" I stated honestly and then turned to face Zander, who was standing and staring at me with emotively intense eyes.

"Come and take what you have earned" I told him and gulping, Zander nodded.

Genessa was the first person to clap as he descended the stairs. I looked at her and found her crying in happiness. I knew that Zander was her mentor too. He had given her a way after she had left her pack.

Soon, more and more people started clapping and very soon, every single person in the audience stood up and accepted the three new chiefs of the Sorority.

The three chiefs of Sorority placed a hand over their heart and bowed their head. We did the same.

I then went up the platform and shook hands with all the three new chiefs. "I promise not to disappoint you" Zander told me.

"I know you will not" I told him with a warm smile and moved towards Alpha Ron.

"I promise not to disappoint you... again" Rett's father told me and chuckling, I nodded.

Ophelia just hugged me in that loving motherly way that always soothed me. Pulling away, I faced my audience and told them, "The meeting is now adjo-"

"Wait" I turned to look at Alpha Marco Thompson and so did the crowd. Marco rushed towards me with inhumane speed and Rett, Keith and Cam stood in front of me protectively and growled at him.

"I am not going to hurt her. I just want to remind her about something" Marco said rather defensively and I immediately understood what he wanted to remind me about.

"I am going to do it Marco. I am going to do it now" I assured him and he smiled in relief.

The audience was curiously staring at us, wondering what was going on between us. But as Marco stepped back, Rett and others moved away, giving me enough space to come ahead and address the audience again.

"I have just few more things to say before concluding today's meeting" I told them and then looking at Kevin, I announced, "I ask Kevin Thompson, Alpha heir of DayDusk Pack to come to the ground please."

Kevin colored, nonetheless followed my orders. People started whispering wondering what the hell was going on.

"Don't you think Kevin, it's about time that you take the title?" I questioned seriously.

"I don't want to be an Alpha. It was Ness's" he muttered, his lean figure stiff with embarrassment and I sighed.

"It is no longer mine Kevin" Genessa told him. "I am the Luna of FireLight Pack. My life is there now and I am very happy in this new life. I will not come back to claim the title. It is no longer mine. It is yours" she said tenderly.

"I... I... it feels wrong" Kevin stuttered.

"What's wrong is you not accepting the title. You should also consider your pack now" Rett reminded him.

"You know what your father did was wrong and yet you are letting him be the Alpha?" I asked raising my brows and Kevin looked at me, speechless. I knew what we said was finally clicking to him. "You have the opportunity to correct your mistake, yet you are letting it go?"

"I..." Kevin couldn't utter anything.

"She is right Kevin. Take the title. Be the new Alpha of DayDusk Pack" Marco said in a low voice.

Kevin turned to look at Genessa, nervously and she smiled, "I know you will be better than I ever imagined myself to be" she told him and moving forward, she hugged him.

He was tense for some time, but then Kevin relaxed and wrapped his arms around his sister. "Accept it" she told him one last time. After that Kevin turned to look at his father and nodded. Marco closed his eyes and let out a breath of relief, while I grinned.

"Go to your pack and prepare for the event" I told them and they nodded.

People were confused but after asking with the other packs, they came to know what the problem was and how it got solved too.

"The meeting is concluded" I told the audience, when I was sure there was nothing I had to say.

I had to tell Gold-Dust pack wolves to respect their Alpha as well as Sebastian to seriously safeguard his pack, but saying it here, with audience did not feel right.

Instead, I connected with Jan, asked her to pick up my clothes from the car and bring it to the ladies room. Soon after, I shifted and ran there.

___

"Tem, Tem... you were so good. So confident. You said the right things, did the right thing. Marvellous" Jan grinned happily, wrapping her arms around me and hugging me tightly, once I changed back and got dressed in jeans and a tank top with a jacket over it.

"I was good?" I asked stunned.

"You were really good" she assured and I huffed in relief.

'Templar' Rett called through the link. 'The Alphas' want to talk to you. Come back to the arena' he said and I agreed.

"People are curious... they will be... it will take them quite a lot of time, to consider you as an equal" she said and I pouted.

___

The next two hours, was a blur to me because all the Alphas' came and spoke to me. Sure, I had met few before, when I had gone with my friends to hunt for Glen's buddies. But some were total strangers to me. They all wanted to know me, maintain a good relationship with Everett and our Pack. Some were nice and spoke to me sweetly. Other's thought I was the goddess herself because they fell at my feet. When they did that, I too crouched down on the ground, because I did not want to be treated like a goddess, because I am not and will never be a Goddess.

There were some others who were materialistic and wanted to be nice with me, just so that they could have my support. I spoke to them the same way they spoke to me.

When I met Brandon and Sebastian, I told them exactly what I wanted to say. I don't know how much of it they understood or they will follow.

The Alphas' also spoke to the new chief's of the Sorority and I was pleased that they were slowly learning to accept my choice... especially Zander.

I was talking with Alpha David Hawkins of LockWood Pack, when Everett asked him a question, "Is Simon Ryker still in his place?"

My wolf stood up and growled aggressively the minute she heard his name. Simon Ryker.... I did not forget him. I just tried to ignore him. But no more!

"Yes, he is. My men have been keeping an eye on him ever since you asked me. He is living alone in that big house of his. Every move of his is being watched" David replied.

"That's good. We are paying him a visit soon" Everett said before me and my mouth quirked.
