TEMPLAR P.O.V

I was racing through the trees in my wolf form along with my friends. We had gone hunting early in the morning today and while we were returning home we decided to hold a race.

Beside me, I saw Keith’s wolf trying to keep up with me. Through squinted eyes he saw me and gave a wolfish grin. I smirked mentally. He is so going to lose this.

At the same time, Ben’s wolf jumped on my back and tackled me down.

‘Haha… I win’ Keith said through the link and I growled.

‘You owe me’ Ben told him through the link.

‘Unfair’ I screamed. ‘This is cheating. You both are cheaters’ I growled and standing on my limbs, I bared my fangs at Ben, who already ran ahead.

‘Look who’s talking’ Jan chuckled running towards me and I closed my mouth shut.

‘Point’ I muttered because she was right. Everyone laughed through the link while I sulked and walked towards my home.

After shifting back, I showered and then wore a grey skinny jeans and a white top. Tying my hair together in a high pony tail, I went to see Trudy.

It’s been three days since Randall’s death and things were back to normalcy in the pack. He had tried his very best to mess our pack up, but thankfully, we did not fall into his trap.

As I remembered Randall, I couldn’t help but growl.  Shaking my head, I continued walking towards Keith’s house.

“Trudy” I called pushing open the main door.

“In here” she called back and I followed the noise to her bedroom. Ophelia was also in the room and together, they were trying to wrap baby Sienna in a warm cloth because she just had her bath.

“Hey beautiful” I cooed at Sienna and she watched me with wide eyes. She kept watching me and smiling, I softly touched her cheeks.

“Where is Keith?”

“He has gone to market”

“Are you going to put her for a nap?” I asked Trudy.

“I have to feed her first” Trudy said watching Ophelia who was making sure Sienna’s hands to be tucked under the wrap.

“Did you get reply to all your mails?” she asked abruptly.

“Yes. All have agreed” I said with a big smile because we have received the last mail yesterday and I was overwhelmed that all the Alphas’ have agreed to attend the Sorority building to attend the meeting.

“The meeting is this Saturday right?” Trudy asked and I nodded. It was five days later.

“And did you get a call from Adio?” Ophelia, who also was having Sienna wear a woolen balaclava to cover her head and ears, queried.

As I heard it, I stiffened because there has been no call from him. However, I reasoned to myself by saying that it has only been a week since he left.

“No” I replied shaking my head.

“There, all done” Ophelia told and I grinned when I saw Sienna, who except for her face, was fully covered.

“Look at her. She doesn’t even understand why you have completely wrapped her up” I said with a chuckle.

“We do not want her to catch cold now, do we?” Ophelia said, picking Sienna and handing her to Trudy.

“Alright, you feed her. I will go” I told standing up and then kissing Sienna on her head, I walked out. Ophelia decided to stay there to help put Sienna to sleep while Trudy goes to take a bath.

In the meantime, I decided to go to the beach for a swim. It was a Sunday but since Everett had missed a lot of work in the past few weeks, he had gone to his office in the town.

I removed my jeans, dropped it on the shore and then went for a swim.

Once under the surface of the water, I swam like a mermaid. I wanted to talk to the Goddess. However, I had sworn the last time that I wouldn’t do so until I completely fulfilled my responsibility and hence I just kept swimming under the water.

‘Where are you?’ Jan’s voice echoed through the link and I furrowed my brows.

‘Swimming’

‘Well come to the border. We have an unwanted guest’s’ she said sourly and I immediately rose to the surface of the water.

‘Who?’ I asked her while I was swimming towards the shore.

‘Louis along with Reece’ I groaned the moment I heard their names.

Sighing, I informed Rett the same through the link and he told me that he was already coming home. Apparently, Keith had seen them first.

Quickly pulling up my jeans, I ran a hand through my hair. My shirt was soaked and since it was white, what I wore underneath was also clearly visible.

‘Jan, get me a black top’ I told her through the link because I didn’t want to flaunt my body in front of that womanizer.

After changing into a black top, I marched towards the northern border where Reece and Louis Gibb were waiting. My pack wolves did not let them enter the territory and I was really grateful.

Reece was there along with his pack wolves. Alton was one of them and as he saw me, he shot me a guilty look. It told me that he did not know Reece would come here abruptly like this.

My gaze then flickered to Louis Gibb, who was one of the three heads of Sorority. He was in his early fifties and he had toffee brown hair and pale blue eyes.

“There she is” Reece hissed the moment he saw me. “Where is your mate?” he snapped and I shrugged.

Everett told me, he would be here soon.

“What do you want?” I demanded crossing my hands across my chest. Keith and Cam were standing on my both side and Jan, a few steps behind along with other guards.

“Tell your guards to let us in” Louis said frowning at me.

“I would have let you in had you chosen a right company” I informed him and Louis frowned while Reece growled.

“You are disrespecting me. A member of Sorority” Louis glared at me.

“My apologies. I do not intend to do so” I began sincerely. “But you must also know that the BlueBells pack has been intending to get into a war with my pack and is now by all rules, our enemy. Hence for the safety of my pack and my pack wolves, I cannot let any wolves belonging to BlueBells enter my land” I continued looking at Louis.

He clenched his jaws and then nodded grudgingly.

‘In your face Louis’ Jan said through the link with a chuckle and I tried my best to hide my smile.

“Really? But Reece here tells me that you have entered his pack without his permission. So I think it’s only fair” Louis smirked and I narrowed my eyes. I don’t know why, but Louis disliked me from the start and I him. Maybe our star signs do not match!

“Yes. The bitch is lying through her teeth now” Reece spat glaring at me. “She has wrongfully entered my pack and attacked me as well as my pack wolves.”

“Have you been dreaming Reece?” Keith questioned and I smirked.

“Don’t play that game with me Killian. My pack wolves here are witnesses to it” Reece growled. “Ask them.”

Before Louis could do so, Cam spoke up, “They are from your pack. Of course they will agree to anything you say.”

“True. Even I can say that you have come here and attacked us” I said to Reece. “Do not put false accusations on us”

“This is not a false accusation” Reece took a step ahead threateningly and my wolf bristled.

“Then prove it” I challenged. “Prove that I was in your pack” I smirked and Reece’s eyes darkened as he bared his fangs.

“Yes. If she was in your pack, tell us all why she was in your pack and what she did in your pack” I heard Everett’s familiar voice and I turned my head to see him walking towards me along with Terence.

Once Rett was standing beside me, he wrapped an arm around my waist.

Reece paled because he could not say to the Sorority that he has been giving shelter to Randall, a lawbreaking rogue.  Mentally, I high-fived myself because everything was going as I expected it to. This is why I had refused for Rett and others to have Reece informed the wrong he was doing.

I wanted him to get trapped in his own plan and now Reece could not prove we were in his pack because he could not say we had kidnapped Randall from there.  Helping Randall itself was a wrong move by Reece.

“Come on prove it” Keith taunted.

“I cannot” Reece hissed through gnashed teeth and in his face, I smirked victoriously. Looking away, my gaze clashed with Alton, who smiled and bowed his head in respect.

I am going to make Alton the new Alpha of BlueBells… soon!

“Then all your accusations on us are unjustified and unacceptable” I said and then looked at Louis, who was frowning at Reece. “So, what do you have to say now Louis?” I demanded.

“Alright” he said reluctantly and I narrowed my eyes at his tone. “I am the only one who is going to enter your territory.”

“Fair enough. But I first want Reece and his wolves to return to their pack” Rett said.

“Maybe you won this time” Reece said through gritted teeth. “But for the offence of trespassing and killing my pack wolves, I will make sure you pay a very heavy price” Reece smirked at me. My wolf snapped her jaws and clawed inside me desperate to get out and kill him. Beside me Rett growled murderously and so did my pack wolves.

“We will see” I said and flashed my own smirk.

“Now please leave. We have to care for a guest” Keith added.

Growling at us one last time, Reece climbed inside his car. Very soon he was gone along with his pack wolves.

“Welcome to WaterWave” Rett told Louis like a trained robot, after Reece left. Louis nodded with a frown and I clenched my fists.

‘His first plan was flop and now he will try something else’ Jan said through the link glaring at Louis, who got inside his own chauffeur driven car.

‘Sadly we cannot just tell him where exactly to go’ I replied with a sigh.

We escorted Louis all the way to the pack house. He refused to even drink a glass of water and I wasn’t very surprised. He probably thought we might have poisoned it.

“What brings you here?” Everett asked him.

“Your mate’s certain unpleasant activities brings me here” Louis answered and my eyebrows shot up. “She has disrespected the Sorority, time and again” He added frowning at me.

“How so?” Everett asked and Louis glared at him.

“H-How so?” he repeated incredulously. “She had lied to us about her existence. Lied to the Sorority that she is the Alpha of this pack. Trespassed and attacked other pack territories. Killed innocent pack wolves. And now, to add to all that, she has sent a mail to all other Alphas’ in the country asking them to attend the meeting in the Sorority building on the same day that we are going to be discussing her case. How dare she do that and disrespect Sorority?” he breathed out curtly and I tried my best to hold my wolf at bay. “We in the Sorority are the ones who hold a fair hearing, discuss and then finally give reasonable judgment to an issue. Her hearing was supposed to be a private one, but she has called all the Alphas’ to attend there and she had no blasted right to do that, even though she is a white wolf” Louis took a deep breath, once he finished saying whatever he had to say.

“So the main problem here for you is that Templar is the white wolf?” Everett probed cocking an eyebrow and many in my pack chuckled when they heard it. Louis turned red in anger as he saw that. He growled and I narrowed my eyes.

‘Nailed it’ Jan said through the link.

“Did you even hear what I said?” Louis hissed furiously.

“We did and it sounded like a kid whining that someone else ate his cookies” Keith said and at this, even I grinned.

“You are disrespecting me” Louis spat standing up. “What she did was wrong and she deserves to be punished” he pointed his index finger at me and my wolf wanted to bite and break that finger of his.

“I know Louis” I said quietly. “What I did was wrong and I have already been punished for it. But go ahead, hold that trial of yours and I will attend it. I never said I would not” I told quite honestly. Louis narrowed his eyes suspiciously after hearing my words. “Just remember two things” I lifted up my index finger to make sure he carefully listens and understands it.

“One- I will not tolerate any false accusations against me” my voice turned into a growl. “And Two- I want reasonable judgment just like you said earlier. If your judgment is considered to be unjust by majority of the audience there, then you can kiss your seat goodbye” I said lethally looking him in the eye and Louis gulped.

“You… you cannot threaten me” he stuttered.

“Believe me; I do not sound so nice when I threaten someone” I smirked and Louis inhaled sharply. He slowly watched his surroundings, probably hoping someone would stand up for him, but when no one spoke a word, Louis gulped and nodded.

“Okay. Fair enough” he said nervously. “But I want you to cancel your invitation for the other Alphas’” he added hesitantly.

“Why?” I asked and Louis frowned at me.

“They have no need to be there”

“On the contrary, I think they have every reason to be there. It’s the first time white wolf is showing herself to our kind in public and I think they must be there” Everett said with a shrug.

“Plus, we all know white wolf is the daughter of the Goddess herself and far above us, above packs, above Sorority” Jan growled and Louis compressed his lips. “So, any issues regarding her must be known to everyone.”

“So far she was content in hiding herself” Louis snapped at Jan and I frowned at him.

“True. But now, she is trying to rectify her mistake, asking for a chance and I think she deserves it” Ophelia piped in. I shot her a grateful smile.

I was really grateful that my family was here with me, supporting me and not letting Louis say a word against me.  Louis’s accusations on me…. most of it was true. Yet, my family was supporting me.

“I am sure you must have already sent letters to other Alphas’ asking them not to attend the meeting” Keith said and Louis flushed uncomfortably. “So what happened? They refused to listen to the almighty Sorority?” he sneered and Louis growled lowly.

I shook my head as I watched Louis who looked desperate to escape. I am sure the Sorority had sent the letters and I am sure the other Alphas’ have refused. He was here to ask me to stop and step back because he was scared his position in the Sorority is at threat.

It will be under threat only if he gives a nod to the war, BlueBells wants to go with my pack.

“Do you want a glass of water Louis? You look like you need one” Rett said and Louis shook his head.

“Is there something else you want to say?” I asked curiously.

“No. No more. I will leave now” with that said, he was out of the door and out of the pack sooner than possible.

“Pathetic mutt. I wonder who chose him as a chief” Jan grumbled from beside.

“If he continues like this, he will not be a chief for long” Rett said wrapping his arms around my waist.

Later that afternoon, after lunch, Rett and Terence were working in the office, while I decided to watch the new Hugh Jackman movie Prisoners. I had got the pirated DVD a few days ago, but I had not watched it. By not watching, I meant not watched this print. I had already watched it twice in theater though!

After ripping off the cover, I looked around and when I was sure no one was watching, I placed a loud sloppy kiss to my pin-ups photo in the cover.

Humming a tune, I inserted the DVD and while reading the plot summary in the back, I remembered that I had not rated the movie online. Quickly switching on my laptop, I got down to work and gave a full ten to the movie in all the websites available.

Grinning proudly, I then clicked the play button.

Jan came in half-an-hour later and groaned when she saw what I watching. “Oh God! This is the…”

“Third time” I beamed.

“Pirated?” she asked and I nodded.

“I preordered the official DVD of the movie online but it is releasing next month. So I have to wait” I pouted and she just shook her head.

“You are crazy” she said and then went inside the kitchen to bring chips packet. The rest of the afternoon we spent watching the movie.

“What are you doing here?” Rett asked standing near the door.

I saved whatever I have written so far and minimized the screen. “Just enjoying the breeze” I told him closing shut my laptop. I was sitting in the patio and continuing with my story.

“Your work is done?” I asked keeping my laptop on the coffee table. I was sitting on the sofa with my legs stretched out. While Rett strode ahead, I lowered my legs so that he could sit beside me.

“I am taking a break” he said yawning and I smiled.

“Tired?” I asked leaning closer to him. “I could you give you the kiss of life” I grinned mischievously and Rett chuckled lowly. Enclosing an arm around my shoulder, he pulled me closer and tilting my head up, I placed a lingering kiss on his mouth.

Rett groaned pulling back after sometime. “As much as I would like to continue…, I have to work because business does not stand still” he confessed ruefully.

I pouted and groaning again, Rett smashed his mouth against mine, his tongue sliding into my mouth.

While we pulled back, I was huffing and puffing for air.

Ruffling my hair, Rett got up. But before leaving, he paused unexpectedly, as if he remembered something. “I got a call from Zander this afternoon. He is sure Simon Ryker is in Lockwood Pack territory”

I couldn’t help but growl the moment I heard Simon Ryker’s name. Glen’s father was the only one left now and I did not know what to do to him. He hurt me because I killed his son. That was revenge and revenge is something I understood well because whether I like it or not, I am a vengeful person.

After killing Randall, I had asked Zander to find the whereabouts of Simon Ryker for me.

“He owns a house there right?” I questioned and Rett replied with a yes. “I thought he would escape to some nowhere land” I murmured to myself. I was surprised Simon was still staying there, even after knowing that I might come after him.

“I thought so too. But guess, he has just given up” Rett said and I pinched my lips together. “What are you going to do?”

“I don’t know” I answered sincerely.

“You don’t know?” Rett asked perplexed and then moving closer, he sat in his previous seat.

“He is an old man and the only one left. How much harm can he do?” I probed. “I guess I will just ask him to leave and go to a far off place” I muttered scratching my temples.

“You want to go to Lockwood tomorrow?” Rett asked and I shook my head.

“No. Not now. I will confront Simon after the Sorority meeting” I said and Rett hitched his brows together.

“He might run to another town by that time”

“That’s okay. He will just leave for good”

“He is dangerous Templar”

“I don’t think he alone can harm me. Randall was far more dangerous than him and now he is dead. Simon is nothing I cannot handle” I said and smiled softly.

“Okay, whatever you think is best” he said and then placing a kiss on my forehead, he went back to his office.

The stars had illuminated the sky when I got a notification of low battery in my laptop. Sighing, I closed it shut, got up from my seat and stretched my hands and legs. Yawning loudly, I picked up the laptop and went inside the house.

After keeping it for charge, I decided to cook dinner. It was seven-thirty and appropriate time to prepare dinner.

I pushed open the office door to ask Rett what he wanted for dinner. However, I frowned when I noticed that he was sitting alone in the darkness. I switched on the light and saw Rett, who with his eyes closed was leaning against his seat.

His whole profile seemed tense and my wolf stood up inside me as she saw that.

“Rett? What’s wrong?” I asked going towards him.

Rett slowly opened his eyes when he saw me and attempted to smile weakly. My heart hammered in my chest and I knew I would hear something I do not want to hear at the moment.

“Rett?” I probed placing a hand on his shoulder. I wanted to know why he was so tensed.

“I got a call from Adio. He asked us, if possible, to come to Rómvos  tomorrow and I agreed”
