I'm The White Wolf
Hi,

âPatricia?â Myron asked confused. âBut how? I mean⦠she is dead⦠for nearly two hundred years.â
âI donât understand eitherâ Genessa said equally confused.
âIs this why Patricia made a promise she would come back?â Keith asked me and I shrugged. I didnât really know about that part. But if Adio thinks Patricia would be able to do it then so be it.
âYou can say that Mr...â Adio began
âKillainâ Keith supplied.
âMr. Killainâ Adio murmurred. âHer soul left her body on her own free will. We call it as attaining salvation.â
âSo⦠Patricia can come back?â Myron questioned in awe.
âShe cannot come back forever and live with us. But for a few minutes, yes, she can. Those few minutes are your only chance of saving the White Wolfâ Adio stated and I gulped.
This was a gamble. If it succeeds, Templar will be able to shift and if doesnâtâ¦. I didnât even want to think of that negative thought.
âBut how can she come back?â Terence queried.
âYeah⦠what should we do?â
âThat is why you need me Mr. Green. I am the only one who can bring her back. Well, with a little help from you allâ Adio added and I raised my eyebrows.
He sighed and stood up, âItâs time for lunchâ he imparted and I checked my time to see it was 12:30 in the afternoon.
âWait a minuteâ I said quickly stopping him. âWhen are we going to do this⦠bring Patricia?â
âDuring the eclipseâ with that said, Adio was gone. No matter how much we asked him to stop, he didnât. He ignored us and walked away.
âEclipse?â Terence mumbled slowly. âDrew will take over Templar during Eclipse-â
âOnly if what Adio says doesnât workâ Genessa added quickly.
âIt kind of makes sense nowâ Keith added. âPatricia was born during those few minutes of total solar eclipse and I think, in those few minutes, Adio is going to bring her backâ he concluded.
I bobbed my head once.
âBut itâs a riskâ Terence whispered softly looking at me.
âItâs a risk, I am prepared to takeâ I declared firmly.
âEven if it meansâ¦â he didnât need to continue the sentence because I knew what would happen if we fail. I closed my eyes while my wolf howled in anguish.
âI still donât know how he can bring her back? Can that even happen?â Myron questioned with a frown.
âIt canâ I heard a soft feminine voice saying. I looked over Myronâs shoulders and found Dalila walking towards us. She smiled and then said, âIt can happen. We are called mysticâs for a reason, Mr. Lassiterâ she addressed Myron.
So thatâs what their kind is called- mysticâs aka spiritualists.
âWe can communicate with the other worldâ Dalila stated.
âSo⦠anyone can communicate with Patriciaâs spirit?â Genessa probed.
âNo. We only help humans with their problems like you know⦠the ghosts, haunted houses, and evil spiritsâ she responded with a grin. âWe help whoever asks for our help. But my husband can do much more. He has powers which are no match to othersâ there was sadness in her voice and I furrowed my brows.
Why is she sad if her husband is powerful?
âHe can communicate with Patriciaâs spirit because she is a god-child just like him. She was born during eclipse, just like him. She used to manipulate fire and my husband⦠can do the sameâ she concluded with a soft smile.
âThen why did Patricia curse him?â Genessa asked and I turned to frown at her. I really didnât want them to remember it over and over again.
âI donât like to talk about it Ms. Thompsonâ Dalila retorted sharply and I blinked.
Fuck! I knew they were still angry about that curse.
âIf my husband didnât tell you why, then there definitely is a reason. I respect his choice and I expect you to do the sameâ she said grimly. Genessa flushed, gulped and nodded once, while Myron frowned at Dalila.
âSeems like a sensitive topic to themâ Terence mumbled through the link.
âWhy are they helping us if they are still angry about it?â Keith asked confused and I shrugged. However, I didnât tell any of them about the promise I made to Adio.
Now, I was curious to know what Adio would ask from me at the end. Is it something related to Patriciaâs curse? What was her curse to him? In the book it was written that it was Adioâs fault that he got cursed, but what did he do?
I wanted to ask them but I kept my mouth shut because now, was definitely not a good time.
Dalila took a deep breath and then turned to face me and flash a polite smile, âLunch will be served soonâ she said and I nodded.
After lunch, I called Templar.
âHiâ she greeted cheerfully and my lips curved to form a smile.
âHeyâ I answered. âHad your lunch?â
âYes and you?â
âJust finishedâ I replied softly.
âAre you alright?â she asked seriously and I stiffened.
âYes. I amâ I whispered and cleared my throat. âWhy?â
âYou sound sadâ she mumbled.
âI am not sadâ I said. âIn fact I am happy because I am coming home tomorrowâ I added.
âReally?â Templar asked cheerfully.
âYes. Reallyâ I replied with a grin. My wolf sighed softly, when I heard her saying how happy she was to hear it. âCalm downâ I told with a chuckle. âI am also bringing some guests with meâ I said quietly.
During lunch, Adio mentioned that he and his eldest son, Tarik, will come with us to our pack in tomorrow morningâs flight. I was really pleased to hear it.
Adio said that he could bring back Patricia only in our pack temple and that is why he had to come with us.
âGuests?â she asked confused.
âA new business partnerâ I had to lie. I couldnât tell Templar the truth.
âWho is it?â
âHis name is Mr. Zachir. He and his son will come home with meâ I stated.
âOh. Alright. Are they humans?â she asked warily.
âYesâ I lied again.
âOh! Okay. I will make arrangements for their arrivalâ she replied with a sigh.
âThank-youâ I mumbled. âTemplar?â I added before she could cut the call.
âYeah?â
âYou might like Mr. Zachirâ I said in a whisper.
âWhy?â
âYouâll see whyâ with that hung up. Once she gets her wolf back, I am sure Templar would appreciate Adioâs efforts.
Dropping the cellphone on the sofa, I looked at Terence, âJan said, they will sedate Templar even todayâ Terence mumbled quietly and I growled murderously.
I didnât like it but I know they couldnât stop Templar unlike me.
âItâs not good for her healthâ Myron spoke to me with a scowl in his face. âYou cannot just drug her daily like thisâ he added with a growl.
âToday is the last dayâ I stated. âNothing like this will happen tomorrowâ I forecasted.
âBut what else are you going to do?â Keith queried. âHow are you going to stop her for the next five days?â
âI will find a way. But no drugs will be usedâ I said firmly. I didnât want to hurt Templar anymore.
Around six that evening, I climbed in our speedboat and patiently waited for Adio and his son to join us.
âWhatâs taking them so long?â Keith queried with frustration. I knew he missed Trudy and couldnât wait to reach home to her. I wonder why he agreed to come in the first place though!
âThey will be hereâ Genessa muttered.
âActually, they are hereâ Myron said and I looked up. Adio and his son were dressed in a black business suit. Now, they actually looked like shrewd businessmen.
Dalila was holding Adioâs hands, while few of their kids were following after them. She said something to him in their language, before kissing him and waving goodbye.
âLetâs go?â Terence asked Adio, who nodded.
We reached WaterWave Pack around one in the morning. Myron and Genessa decided to stay overnight and leave for their pack next morning.
The first thing I did was take Adio and his son, Tarik, to the guest house. Adio was silent during the entire journey but he muttered a Thank-you after I showed him his room.
âMr. Greenâ he called when I was about to leave.
âYes?â
âWhere is the White Wolf?â
âShe is sleeping. I have asked her to be sedatedâ I said taking a deep breath.
Adio cocked an eyebrow but didnât comment anything else. âIf you need anything, just call meâ I told him and he nodded.
After that I walked to my house.
The first thing I did was check on Templar, who was sleeping on our bed. She was fast asleep. I was about to tuck a strand of her hair, when I realized that it wasnât my Templar. Growling, I choose another room to sleep for what was remaining of the night.
I woke up when I felt an arm wrapping around my waist. Blinking repeatedly, I looked down to see Templar snuggling to me. I checked the time and sighed when I read that it was five-thirty in the morning.
Placing an arm around her, I pressed her closer to me and took in her scent. This was definitely my mate.
The next time I woke up, Templar was not in the bed with me. I felt refreshed. I checked the time and inhaled sharply when it read nine in the morning. Quickly getting up, I rushed to have a shower.
While I went downstairs, Templar was setting breakfast for us on the table. She was wearing a printed skirt and plum color singlet top. Her dark brown hair left loose and she looked all the more beautiful.
âGood morningâ she greeted when she saw me.
Smiling, I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulling her closer, I kissed her. Templar immediately responded and then wrapped her hands around my neck. It felt good to hold her close after a long time.
My wolf sighed in joy as I picked Templar and helped her sit on the table. As she wrapped her legs around me, I pulled away from her mouth and started kissing her neck.
âI missed youâ she moaned softly while I kissed the area beneath her earlobe. But then all of a sudden Templar started pushing me away. At first I ignored her and continued placing kisses on her shoulders, but then I stiffened because I realized that this was not the right time.
âWhy did you sleep in a separate room?â Templar queried but her cheeks were already coloring.
At first all I did was gaze at her dark brown eyes. She sounded so innocent and that is how Templar is. But when Drew takes over her body, the innocence is just gone and instead all we get is rude and catty. I should have guessed long ago that something was wrong but Iâ¦
âWell?â Templar probed and I blinked.
âWell what?â I asked cocking an eyebrow and she narrowed her eyes. Grinning, I traced her dark brow with a finger but she was quick to slap my hand away. âWhy didnât you sleep in our bedroom?â she demanded frowning at me.
âYou were asleep and sprawled all over the bed-â Okay, the second half part was a lie. âSo, I decided not to wake you upâ
âI was?â Templar asked looking guiltily.
Bobbing my head, I pecked her nose.
âSorryâ she muffled sheepishly and I rested my forehead against hers. We just stayed like that silent for few minutes, until Templar pulled away and spoke abruptly, âWhat about your guest? Did they come here?â she asked climbing down.
âYesâ I told her and she frowned at me. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI⦠I have to cook breakfast for them too. Crapâ Templar muttered rushing into the kitchen.
âWhat are you about to cook?â I asked following after her. I almost forgot that Khepri people have different food choice than ours.
âHash brown potatoesâ she mumbled picking up a pan from the cabinet.
âNo. No potatoesâ I imparted shaking my head and Templar furrowed her brows.
âWhat? Why?â
I have to think of a lie⦠or let me just go with plain truth.
âUm⦠they donât eat anything grown below the surface of the earthâ I said and Templarâs eyes widened.
âHuh?â
âNo potatoes, not peanuts, no carrot or onion or anything from taproot plantsâ I told her.
âThen what do they eat?â she queried in astonishment.
âCereals- Cornflakesâ I supplied.
âOkayâ Templar mumbled confusedly. âBut is cereal enough?â she questioned.
âThey eat something else for breakfast, but I donât know the name of itâ I responded with a shrug and Templar sighed.
âFine. Iâll settle with cerealâ she said in a low voice. âDonât you think itâs a little strange?â she grilled taking out a milk bottle from the refrigerator.
âIt is. But they are our guests and I want them treated wellâ I reminded her.
âAlright. You go get them. Until then, I will set the tableâ she said to me setting two bowls on the kitchen counter.
âYou sure?â I queried and Templar nodded without looking at me. Sighing, I decided to call go and call them.
Adio and Tarik, were already awake when I reached there and they informed me that they already had breakfast, which was given to them by Ophelia. I was really glad she gave it to them because they wake up when the sun is up.
But still Adio told me that he would like to come with me to the house to meet Templar. I agreed and so we were now in our house.
âTemplarâ I called from the living room and Templar peeped through the kitchen door. Her eyes widened when she realized we had guests.
âOhâ she mumbled and then stepped out of the kitchen to walk towards us, with a charming smile on her beautiful face.
âMr. Adio Zachir, this is my wife, Ms. Templar Green and Templar, this is Mr. Zachir, my business partnerâ I introduced them to her.
âHelloâ she said and extended her hand for him to take.
Adio stared at her for few seconds with wide eyes, before blinking and taking her hand. âI am honored to meet you Mrs. Greenâ he told her and Templar raised both her lashes. When she looked at me, she had a does-he-know-what-we-are kind of look. I sighed and shook my head.
The mysticâs smelled a little powerful than humans and hence it wasnât that easy for us to say they were not humans.
âHis son, Mr. Tarik Zachirâ I introduced his son and Templar beamed at him.
âCan I call you Templar?â Tarik asked her and she nodded. âCoolâ he said with a grin.
âWelcome to our houseâ Templar greeted and then told them to have a seat. While she asked them about where they are from and all those formality things, I noticed Adio staring at her curiously. He would reply her occasionally, but then when he would stare at her, his golden eyes would start swiveling. I panicked when I saw that and wondered if Templar noticed it too. However, she was busy laughing at something Tarik said.
She got along well with Tarik, who according to her was just a teenage kid. But in realityâ¦
âYou forgot to ask them if they wanted a drinkâ I reminded her through the link and Templar gasped.
âCrapâ she muttered and then asked them. Adio denied but much to my relief, Tarik said yes to coffee. So, Templar got up and went to the kitchen to make coffee.
âWell?â I asked Adio once Templar was out of our view.
âShe is affectedâ he replied and I furrowed my brows. I knew that! âRight now, she is herself and so she could sit this close to me but at night, she will start covering from meâ he added and I blinked.
âWill she know?â
âNo. But she will suspect that I am something elseâ Adio sighed. âI want to ask you something Mr. Greenâ he said and I shot him a go-ahead look. âDid she shed a single drop of tear for your unborn child?â
At his question, I paled and tried to think about it. However the answer was-No. No. Templar had not shed a single drop of tear.
âI thought she was shockedâ I said in a whisper and Adio nodded.
âShe is. She is still in that state. Until she sheds those tears and lets it all out, she will be still in that state. She has to cry Mr. Greeen. To let go of that pain, she has to cry it all outâ Adio stated and I merely nodded.
âBut how-â
âIt will happen on its ownâ he incised and I nodded. âLooking at her, I can understand why she lost her childâ Adio said and I growled. âAre you aware of the three phases of moon Goddess?â Adio questioned and I nodded. I had read about it in the book.
âTemplar is still in the first stage. An adolescent. She is not mentally prepared to be a mother yet. Her wolf is still a pup in some way. Thatâs why she carries all that aggression within her. Once she reaches the second phase, the aggression will go away. In that phase she will be ready to become a mother and automatically she will learn to be patient, calm, gentleâ he said.
I couldnât understand half of the things he said, but I still nodded.
âWhat do you do to her at night?â he demanded.
âWe sedate her every night so that the spirit doesnât get in contact with his accompliceâ I confessed to Adio.
âThere is no need for that. I can put her to sleepâ Tarik said and I turned to look at him. Until now, I thought he just accompanied us to give his father a company but he was useful too.
âYou can do that?â I asked hopefully.
âYes. However, there is just one thingâ Tarik informed.
âWhat thing?â I demanded to know.
âWhen she is asleep, I have to be asleep tooâ he replied with a shrug.
