===================================
Abhinav took them to a five-star hotel. He then asked Shwet about his favorite food, and Shwet told him. Abhinav already knew Shweta's preferences, so he had ordered for her in advance.
Shweta noticed that Shwet liked many things that Swati also liked. When she looked at Shwet, she realized his way of eating was somehow similar to Swatiâs. Smiling, she thought to herself, "Truly, a child's upbringing becomes a reflection of who they are. Swati raised Shwet. If anyone sees him, they will definitely say that Shwet is Swatiâs son. My sister is truly amazing. God, just like you've fulfilled every wish of mine and completed my life, please donât leave anything incomplete in her life. Give her every happiness."
"How's the food, Shwet?" Abhinav asked. Shwet smiled and replied, "Itâs very good, Uncle."
Hearing the word "Uncle" from Shwet's mouth hurt Abhinav a little, and his smile faded slightly. However, he didn't say anything, but both Shweta and Shwet noticed it.
In his mind, Shwet thought, "Shwet, Uncle is actually your dad, and Shivaay Uncle wonât be your dad. And he loves you like a father, so you should call him Dad. That will make both him and Maa very happy."
Suddenly, Shwet smiled and said to Abhinav, "You should eat too, Dad."
"What did you say?" Abhinav asked in surprise. Shwet, still smiling, said, "I called you Dad because you are my dad, right?"
"Thank you so much, son," Abhinav smiled with teary eyes and hugged Shwet tightly.
Meanwhile, on the other side...
Swati had gone directly to the seaside. She was sitting in a quiet corner, away from the crowd, watching the waves rise and crash.
Her eyes then fell on a pregnant woman in the distance, walking slowly in the water, holding her husbandâs hand and laughing as she spoke to him.
Seeing the pregnant lady's belly, Swatiâs hands automatically went to her own stomach. She closed her eyes, and the doctor's words echoed in her ears: "Shweta, I told you before, you needed proper treatment and care, but you didnât take it. You didnât get the proper treatment or take care of yourself. And now, as a result, the infection has spread to your uterus. We have to remove the infected part, and Iâm sorry, Swati, but you wonât be able to become a mother anymore."
Swati quickly opened her eyes. Her eyes had turned red and were filled with tears. It seemed as if blood had filled her eyes. That redness was of her pain, a pain she had buried deep inside her heart, but today it was showing through her tears.
She tried hard to stop her tears, but they wouldnât stop and continued to fall from her eyes.
Swatiâs breathing became faster. Crying, she said to herself, "He says he loves me, but when he finds out about this flaw of mine, his love will disappear. Because every man wants a woman who can give him the greatest joy of his life, his own child. Every family wants a daughter-in-law who will carry their lineage forward, but I can never become a mother, not in this lifetime. And when he finds out, his love will vanish in a second."
"And if he truly loves you, then..." a voice suddenly rose from her heart, surprising Swati.
Placing her hand on her chest, she shook her head and said, "No, if he really loves me, truly loves me, then I canât be a part of his life at all. He deserves a much better girl than me. Even if I say hurtful things to him a thousand times or fight with him, my heart knows that Shivaay is a good man. He gave so much love to Shwet in their first meeting that the child accepted him as his father. If he can love another's child so much, imagine how much he would desire his own children. I canât cause him such pain. Itâs better if only one of us suffers rather than both of us." Saying this, Swati buried her face in her knees.
Just then, an old woman approached her and extended her hand, "Child, please give me something."
Hearing her voice, Swati wiped her tears and looked up. She took out a â¹50 note from her purse, handed it to the old woman, and said, "Maaji, this is all I have right now."
The old woman looked at Swatiâs tearful face, sat down beside her, and said, "You seem very troubled, my child. What sorrow do you have?"
"Nothing, Maaji," Swati said, avoiding her gaze.
The old woman laughed and said, "Oh, just tell me. Youâll feel lighter if you talk. If you talk to the sea, it will just listen, but if you talk to me, I might offer some comfort. Speak up, whatâs the pain? Anyway, itâs not like weâll ever meet again."
Hearing the old womanâs words, Swatiâs tears began to fall again. She cried, watching the waves rise and fall, and said, "I donât have many reasons for happiness, and I donât have many words to express."
Swati then told the old woman her whole truth â how she had distanced herself from her family and her sister, how she had brought her sisterâs child to this city, how she had raised Shwet through difficult times, given him a motherâs love, how the infection led to the removal of her uterus, and how she would never be able to become a mother. She explained how Shivaay came into her life and how she distanced herself from him.
Looking at the old woman with tear-filled eyes, Swati asked, "Now you tell me, Maaji, did I do anything wrong? That boy is young, so he shouldnât suffer. And as for Shwet, I know my child longs for a family, and now he will get his family. He will have his mother, father, aunt, grandmother, grandfatherâeveryone. My child will be very happy with his family, but I canât be a part of that family. As long as I am around, Shwet will never be able to let go of me and go to Shweta and Abhinav. And thatâs not his fault because ever since he started speaking, he has called me âMaa.â And maybe I am the mother figure in his mind. Thatâs why I need to distance myself from him so that the image of âMaaâ can change to Shweta."
"And youâll be able to do that," said the old woman.
Swati wiped her tears and said, "I can do anything for my family, for my child and my sister."
Just then, her phone rang. She picked it up and saw that it was Shweta calling. Taking a deep breath, she composed herself and answered the call.
On the other end, Shwetâs voice came through, "Masi Maa, where are you? Do you know, Iâm at the mall with Maa, Abhinav, and Papa, but the manager said you left earlier."
"Yes, dear, Iâm not at the mall. I came out for some work, and I might be late in returning. You enjoy with Maa," Swati said with difficulty.
On the other end, Shwet simply said, "Hmm." After that, Swati ended the call.
As she stood up, she thanked the old woman, "Thank you so much, Maaji. Talking to you has truly lightened my heart."
Swati left, and the old woman watched her go. She said to herself, "Today is Raksha Bandhan and also the last Monday of Shravan. On this sacred day, I pray to Mahadev for you. I wonât ask him to fulfill all your wishes, because you haven't asked for anything for yourself. I will just ask him to complete all that is missing in your lifeâto give you love, family, children, and every happiness."
Swati went straight to Abhinavâs house. She rang the doorbell, and Ruhi opened the door. Seeing Swati in front of her, Ruhi was surprised, but she smiled and said, "Oh, Swati, please come in."
Ruhi led Swati to the hall, where Bharati and her father were both present. Seeing Swati, Bharati was also surprised but stood up and said, "Swati, youâre here? Namaste, Aunty. Namaste, Dadaji," she said, touching Dadajiâs feet.
He placed his hand on Swatiâs head and said, "Stay blessed, child."
"Bharati, who is this girl?" Bharati said, "Papa, this is Shwetaâs sister, Swati."
Bharati had already told her father everything about Abhinav, Shwet, Shweta, and Swati, so he wasnât surprised.
He gestured for Swati to sit and said, "Come, sit down. Ruhi, bring something for her."
"Yes, Nanaji," Ruhi was about to leave, but Swati stopped her and said, "No, no, I donât need anything. Actually, I came here to talk to all of you."
"Yes, tell us," Bharati asked.
Swati began, "Aunty, you know what has happened in all our lives. I didnât like Abhinav for what he did to my sister. But my sister loves Abhinav very much. Usually, such matters are discussed by the elders, but we have no one left at home.
Swati began to speak, "Aunty, you already know what has happened in all our lives. I didn't like Abhinav for what he did to my sister, but my sister loves him very much. Usually, such matters are handled by the elders of the family, but we donât have anyone, so Iâve come myself to speak for my sister."
"What exactly are you trying to say, dear? Speak clearly," Bharati's father asked.
Swati replied, "You all know the difficulties my sister has been through. Abhinav and Shweta have decided to be together, so I came to ask if you all will accept my sister. Even after knowing about her past, will you take her in as your daughter-in-law? Because I donât want my sister to ever feel ashamed or be criticized or insulted for anything."
Hearing Swati's words, Bharati, her father, and Ruhi all smiled. Bharati held both Ruhi's and Swati's hands and asked, "So, does this mean that the hatred you and Shweta had for Abhinav is gone?"
"Yes, Aunty, but I still want to hear your answer," Swati asked once again.
Hearing Swati's words, a smile spread across Bharti, her father, and Ruhi's faces. Bharti held Swati and Ruhi's hands and asked, "So, the hatred that you and Shweta had for Abhinav is gone?"
"Yes, Aunty, but I want to hear your answer," Swati asked again.
So, Nana Ji placed his hand on her head and said, "Beta, what happened to Shweta was very bad, but it wasn't her fault. So why should we punish her for that? She has already suffered a punishment for a mistake she didn't commit. We all just want our children's happiness. Abhinav loves Shweta, he wants to spend his life with her. We have no problem with that. We knew how much he loved her when he tried to take his own life. So we have no issues, no objections."
Hearing this, a big smile appeared on Swati's lips as well.
Swati made another request to Bharti, saying, "Aunty, I have one more request. Can we arrange their wedding in a very simple way in a temple? Please don't misunderstand me. I know you want a grand wedding for your son, and you are influential people with big dreams. But I am saying this for Shweta. I know she won't be comfortable with such a grand celebration. She has started to fear people, so I think a simple wedding would be better. Later, after a few months, when Shweta becomes more comfortable, you can host a reception as you see fit."
"Yes, dear, no problem. We understand. You can do as you see fit," Bharti's father said.
Swati smiled at this.
Bharti placed her hand on Swati's head and said, "You are a very sweet child, Swati, and very brave too. The love you have for your loved ones is evident in your eyes. You've raised your sister's son as your own, faced many challenges in a big city like Mumbai, but you never gave up. And even now, you're only thinking about your sister's happiness."
"Everyone thinks about their family's happiness, Aunty. I'm not doing anything new. I'll talk to the priest for a good date and let you know," Swati said.
"Alright, dear," Bharti said. Swati then stood up and said, "Alright, I'll take my leave."
"Wait, dear, have lunch before you go. Abhinav and Shweta will be here soon, maybe you can talk to them too," Bharti said.
"No, Aunty, I'm in a bit of a hurry. And Abhinav, Shweta, and Shwet are all together. I don't think theyâll be back anytime soon. I'll leave now, bye."
With that, Swati left.
Meanwhile, Shweta, Abhinav, and Shwet went to the game zone. Shwet played many games there. After that, they all went to an amusement park, but seeing the large crowd, Shweta began to feel anxious.
Abhinav held her hand and said, "Shweta, it's okay. I'm here with you."
At that moment, Shwet, who was in Abhinav's arms, also said to Shweta, "Yes, Maa, the three of us are together. Don't be afraid."
Hearing their words, Shweta smiled. Abhinav kissed Shwet's cheek and said, "Thank you for cheering up your maa, and thank you for calling me 'Papa.' Honestly, I never expected you to start calling me 'Papa' so soon. I thought I'd have to work hard for it."
Then, remembering Shivaay, Shwet said, "Because Shivaay Uncle said you're a great dad. If I stay with you, I'll start liking you as my dad too. That's why I started calling you 'Papa,' because you really are my dad, right?"
Hearing this, both Abhinav and Shweta smiled. But in both their minds, Shwet's words echoed, though they didnât dwell on it much.
Despite Abhinav and Shwet's words, Shweta continued to feel nervous in the crowd, especially with all the men around. So, Abhinav, Shweta, and Shwet left. Shwet was a bit tired, so Abhinav dropped Shweta and Shwet home and then went to his own house.
As soon as he got home, Ruhi and Bharti joyfully told Abhinav about Swati's visit and everything that had happened. Abhinav was overjoyed. Hugging Bharti, he said, "I can't believe it, Maa! Swati agreed. I'm so happy!"
Bharti placed her hand on his cheek and said, "This is the happiness we were waiting to see."
Abhinav held her hand and said, "But Mom, I agree with what Swati said. I cannot tolerate any kind of insult toward Shweta. Please don't misunderstand me, but sometimes, influenced by relatives' comments, families change their minds. But you, or anyone else, should never change your opinion about Shweta. She really is a wonderful girl."
"You don't need to explain yourself, dear. We all believe that she is a wonderful girl, and I'm doing all of this for my son. I know how much you love her, and I fear that if you are separated from her, you might lose yourself again, which I never want. I can do anything for your happiness," Bharti said emotionally. Abhinav hugged her.
Just then, Bharti's father said, "Now, are you all going to keep talking here, or are we heading to Shergill Mansion? Have you forgotten, we need to discuss Ruhi's wedding there too. The priest is coming today, hurry up."
Hearing about her wedding, Ruhi blushed and smiled. Then they all left for Shergill Mansion.
At Shergill Mansion
After everyone arrived, Dada Ji said to the priest, "Pandit Ji, now that we have more weddings to arrange, please find an auspicious date for them too. And I say, if we can have two weddings on the same day, that would be great. The donkeys in my house have no patience, so let's get the weddings done quickly."
Hearing Dada Ji's words, everyone laughed, and the boys pouted. But Rohit said, "Call me a donkey if you like. Pandit Ji, if my wedding happens on the same day as Omkar's, that would be perfect. Right, Ruhi?"
Saying this, Rohit smiled at Ruhi, making her blush while everyone else laughed. Then Ruhi said, "No, Pandit Ji, find the date for my wedding on the same day as Preeti Bhabhi's. I have no problem with waiting."
Saying this, Ruhi glared at Rohit, making him pout.
Smiling, Pandit Ji said, "Weddings don't happen by your wishes. Let me check first." He opened his book.
After a while, Pandit Ji smiled at Rohit and said, "It seems your wish has been granted by the gods. Rishidhar Ji, you can have their wedding on the same day as Omkar and Riyaâs. And you can have Hardik and Shivika's wedding on Vikram's wedding day. There will be no obstacles."
Everyone was delighted to hear this. Rohit was the happiest; he jumped with joy. His wish had come true. But Anokhi was glaring at everyone in anger. When Shobha noticed, she asked, "Anokhi, why are you glaring at everyone like that? What happened?"
Anokhi pouted and said, "No one is setting a date for my wedding."
Surakha then said, "I swear on diamonds, Anokhi. We would have set your wedding date, but your husband has refused. He said your wedding won't happen yet."
"Why?" Anokhi asked, looking at Rishabh.
Rishabh said, "No, our wedding won't happen yet. You need to finish your studies first, then we will get married."
Anokhi stomped her foot and said, "That's not fair. Ruhi hasn't finished her studies yet either, but she's getting married. So why not me?"
Ruhi interrupted her, saying, "Wait a minute, Anokhi. You might have forgotten that I joined college because of you. My studies were already completed in Delhi. I came here just for you."
"So you were lying to me?" Anokhi asked, eyes wide in surprise.
Ruhi shrugged and smiled.
Seeing this, Anokhi pouted and said, "But still, this isn't fair, Mom. You should talk to Rishabh ji."
"I said no, not yet," Rishabh said, his voice slightly raised, which made everyone fall silent. Anokhi's face fell, and she quietly left and went to her own.
"Why did you upset her? You have no sense of how to talk to her. You could have spoken to her kindly," Shobha said, hitting Rishabh on the shoulder.
Rishabh replied, "I did tell her before, but she wasn't listening. Her stubbornness is growing day by day." Saying this, he got up and followed Anokhi.
After they left, everyone felt a bit worried. Seeing their concern, Vikram said, "Why are you all sitting here looking so glum? She left upset, but she'll return with a smile. Don't worry."
Rishabh came into the room and saw Anokhi lying on the bed, holding the big teddy bear that Omkar had given her. She had clutched it tightly and hidden her face in it. Seeing the teddy bear, Rishabh's eyes narrowed, but when he noticed Anokhiâs trembling shoulders, his expression softened. He walked over to the bed and laid down next to her.
Rishabh rested his head on his elbow, gazing at Anokhi for a while. Then he softly said, "Cupcake." But Anokhi didn't respond. Rishabh gently grabbed her shoulder and turned her towards him. Anokhi's face was drenched in tears, and she looked at him with wet eyelashes.
"Cupcake, you've made yourself like this over such a small matter?" Rishabh tried to wipe her tears, but Anokhi pushed his hand away and sat up. She was about to leave when Rishabh pulled her back, and she fell into his lap.
Anokhi, trying to push him away from her shoulders, said, "You don't want to stay with me anymore, right?"
"Who told you that I don't want to stay with you?" Rishabh said, holding her even tighter.
"You're the one who doesn't want to get married, right? That's why you're not marrying me. I used to think you loved me a lot and would do anything for me. But you're not marrying me, and you're making me cry like this."
"Cupcake, when did I ever say that I don't want to marry you? I only said that once your studies are complete, we will get married."
"Why? What's so important that I need to complete my studies before getting married? Am I not already married? What difference will it make? You're just making excuses. I know, you don't want to marry me. You didn't want to marry me before, and even now, you have no interest in marrying me. That's why you're..."
Before Anokhi could say anything further, Rishabh pressed his lips against hers. He started kissing her, and today his kiss was aggressive. He was angry and was kissing her out of that anger. Anokhi felt a little startled by his sudden intensity, but her grip on his shirt tightened, and she shut her eyes firmly.
Meanwhile, Rishabh ran his fingers through her hair, kissing her with more passion. Her words had made him furious. After a while, he pulled back and looked at her. Anokhi, with her eyes still closed, was quietly taking deep breaths.
Rishabh brought her face closer and said, "Open your eyes." But Anokhi didnât open them, so this time, Rishabh said more sternly, "Anokhi, I said, open your eyes."
Anokhi opened her eyes and looked at him with tear-filled eyes. Rishabh cupped her face in both his hands, drawing her even closer, and said, "I see your stubbornness is growing day by day. Whatever comes to your mind, you think it and say it too. You want to know why I said no to the wedding right now? Then tell me, if we get married right now, will you be able to enjoy all the weddings together? Will you be able to enjoy your own wedding? Will you be able to enjoy your brothers' weddings? Tell me."
Anokhi slowly shook her head in a 'no.'
Rishabh then said, "So tell me, what wrong did I do? What did I do wrong for you to think such nonsense?"
"You could have explained it to me lovingly," Anokhi said, crying with innocence and Rishabhâs heart melted at her words.
