Jasper pouted. âIf I had known he didnât like crowds, I would have invited fewer people to the birthday party. I donât even know many of the uncles here!â
âYes!â Her little head nodded. âWilliam is my best friend!â
Looking at her daughterâs innocent face, Grace once again lamented childrenâs simple and beautiful world. She only hoped that she and William could still get along well with each other in the future after finding out about the adultsâ feud and not get affected by the previous generationâs enmity.
âThen weâll save William a slice of birthday cake and take it home, alright?â Grace asked gently.
Hearing this, Jasper smiled and said, âOkay! Iâll save him a big slice of cake!â
