Chapter 53-3
Not A Small-Town Girl
Not only was Danielle a skilled fighter, but she was also a brilliant doctor, a master strategist, and an expert gunsmith. On top of it all, she led the Grace Group to great success while maintaining a massive base at the border.
Danielle gave a humble smile.
Meanwhile, up in the observation tower, high- ranking officers from different divisions had watched the match unfold.
Before the match, even Garrett had assumed Maximus would win. After all, Maximusâs combat skills were among the best in the region. Yet, this slender young woman had defeated him without breaking a sweat.
Ever since his daughter, Lydia, came back from the border, she had been singing Danielleâs praises without end.
"Garrett, is she one of yours?" asked a commander from the Southern District. "No, sheâs Elliotâs sister, Danielle," Garrett replied with unmistakable pride.
The commander of Southern District raised an eyebrow, thinking, âYou sure sound proud, but she doesnât even belong to your unit... If I could recruit her, it would bolster the Southern Districtâs strength tremendously.
"She didnât unleash even her full strength. If she did, Maximus mightâve been incapacitated. What a talent. If she could join the Western District-weâd be unstoppable," said the commander of Western District, his eyes gleaming with ambition.
"Dream on," retorted the commander of Southern District. "If sheâs going anywhere, itâs to the South. Weâre much better than the West!"
