Chapter 681: Chapter 675: Scare You to Death

Forcible warping causes substantial damage to the engine. Although it won’t be directly damaged, the preparation time for another warp will be much longer. If they ignore this and forcibly warp again, the engine would most likely explode, with a probability exceeding 80 percent.

This implies that they are on the verge of successfully tracking their target. “How much longer will it take for us to be prepared?” Wind Martin asked ecstatically after coming to this realization.

“My lord, we need about seven more hours. Their engines won’t outlast ours. This means that their engines will need at least twenty hours to prepare for the next jump. After forcibly warping, their engines might even get damaged,” was the report.

“Fine, inform the power department, and notify the entire fleet. I want the engine to be re-prepared in six hours. Even if our engines aren’t ready by then, we should still warp directly,” Wind Martin ordered.

Although the enemies cannot continue using their warp engine, they can still use their flight engines. Six hours is enough time to fly a considerable distance. Even though they can catch up by warping, it’s best to warp over earlier to avoid troubles.

“Yes, my Lord.” Their warships are larger and more advanced, hence their engines cool down much faster than the enemy’s.

What they didn’t know was that, after warping to the target location, Finn Lewis and the others did not proceed. Instead, Finn said, “Luna Starfield, scan the nearby galaxies and check for enemies and reconnaissance devices.”

“Yes, Your Highness. Current scans show no reconnaissance warships in the nearby stars. The galaxy we’ve chosen is desolate and uninhabited,” Luna quickly answered.

“Good, inform Caleb Shaw then,” Finn nodded.

“Your Highness, I am here,” Caleb respectfully bowed to Finn the moment the call was connected.

“Thank you,” Finn simply replied.

“You flatter me, Your Highness, you paid us, and we should honor our promise. Now, Your Highness, your flagship is ready. Are we proceeding with the docking? We can transfer everyone over to that warship,” Caleb respectfully asked.

“How long will it take?” Finn tilted his head and asked.

“Approximately three hours to complete the transfer,” Caleb earnestly replied.

“Well then, let’s proceed,” Finn nodded and told Luna, “Luna, you control the spaceship.” He then turned to Jasmine Davis, “Notify everyone to take their personal belongings with them. Everyone will transfer to that warship. You all can choose whatever warship you like, consider it a gift from me.”

“If you insist, then I’ll gladly accept,” Jasmine nodded, not one to play coy. She needed a new spaceship anyway since hers was practically damaged beyond repair. As for valuable objects on the current spaceship, barring some personal items, everything else was inferior to what the new spaceship offered.

“Then go on and announce it,” Finn readily said.

Jasmine nodded decisively. As soon as she made the announcement, the entire crew cheered in excitement. Although these space pirates knew that they might die one day and were mentally prepared for it, nobody truly wished for death. Naturally, they were thrilled at the chance to survive.

With Luna controlling the spaceship, they docked with one of the first two first-class warships that warped in. Only upon nearing the warship did Finn realize the vast size difference. The first-class warship was at least three times the size of their current ship.
