Chapter 966
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Chapter 966 Establish A New Order
Tristan swept a gaze over Felix.
âI think itâs more like youâre jealous. Who wears a shirt while training, especially in such hot weather?
Do you have no abs?â
âWho said so? I do! Of course, Iâve got abs!â Dejection swamped Felix. My abs are just not that
prominent. He then turned to Ysabelle. âI really do have abs, Ysabelle.â
Hearing that, Ysabelle could not help bursting into giggles.
âAll right, it doesnât matter whether youâve got abs. I like you, not your abs,â she asserted.
âBut you were totally engrossed when you stared at their abs,â Felix whined pitifully.
âWellâ¦â How am I to explain that? Everyone likes to admire things that are pleasing to the eye.
Ysabelle countered. âThat doesnât detract from the fact that I like you!â
âFine, then.â
What else can I say to that? When Iâve recovered, Iâll definitely train hard and develop my abs.
Otherwise, I wouldnât be able to stand having her peek at other menâs abs all the time!
After the morning training, everyone had breakfast together. The instant the men under Tristanâs
command spotted Sophie, they all sat far away, for the memory of Bertram being put through the
wringer remained vivid in their minds.
Considering Ms. Tannerâs capabilities, Mr. Tristan is probably the only person in the entire base whoâs
her match.
âWhatever did you do, Sophie? Why do I feel as though everyone is terrified of you today?â Ysabelle
was wholly ignorant about the entire matter.
âNothing much. I merely sparred with Bert, and they all happened to witness it.â That was all that
transpired
âHaha!â
Following Sophieâs blithe answer, Felix inexorably laughed out loud, for he knew her capabilities. She
m have wiped the floor with Bertram!
âWhy are you laughing?â Ysabelle asked in puzzlement. Was that funny?
âNo reason.â
At that precise moment, Bertram came over and sat down to have breakfast with them.
âMs. Tannerâ¦â
âWhat is it? Youâd still like to spar with me one on one?â
Immediately, Bertram waved his hands in demurral.
âNo, no! How could I possibly dare do so? Iâm here to seek your help to train a few men for me. Your
marksmanship is truly impeccable,â Bertram explained.
âOh, I see. Sure! Iâll be staying here for some time. Just leave them to me.â Merely training a few men
was not a problem for Sophie.
âGreat!â Sheer gratification flooded Bertram upon her agreement.
âHow about I likewise tag along and learn from you during this time, Sophie? Iâd be able to help you all
out if there were danger in the future instead of being a burden.â Ysabelle expressed, having found
herself utterly useless this time, unable to help in anything.
âYeah, sure,â Sophie agreed.
Indeed, no matter how powerful those around her are, sheâs the only person who can protect herself at
a critical juncture. On top of that, sheâs a highly renowned singer now and will always run into danger of
some sort.
Felix, on the other hand, did not share the same sentiments. âYou donât need to learn, Ysabelle. Itâs an
arduous process. Iâll protect you so long as you remain by my side. Verily, it was nothing more than an
accident this time. Iâll certainly be able to keep her safe in the future!
I donât doubt your capabilities, Felix. I merely feel that you can be more relaxed if Iâm capable of
defending myself. Donât worry. I can endure a bit of hardship.â
Nonetheless, unadulterated anguish pervaded Felix.
In truth, the incident this time had really scared Ysabelle. That was why she decided to take that step.
âSheâs an adult, so she knows what sheâs doing. Besides, itâs good for her to learn some self-defense,â
Tristan interjected upon sensing Felixâs reluctance.
Thatâs the veritable truth. Itâs best to depend on oneself than on others. No matter how capable he is,
he canât stay by her side every second of every day.
âI know.â
âHeâs right! Rest assured that there wouldnât be any problems with me teaching her. But Ysabelle, first
things first-Iâm exceedingly strict.â
âOkay. Iâm not afraid.â This time, Ysabelle was genuinely determined. In the past, she was never
interested when her grandfather urged her to learn self-defense. At that moment, however, she wanted
to strive to stand side by side with Felix.
âActually, I can teach you when Iâve recovered.â Felix still felt that he was the person who loved her
most.
âItâs okay. Just rest these few days. Iâll learn from Sophie first. Moreover, isnât she better than you?â
Felix went silent, left without a retort.
Ouch! That hurt! While thatâs true, she didnât have to point it out.
Only when Ysabelle glimpsed his despondent expression did she realize that she had misspoken.
âIâm sorry, Felix! Did I hurt you again? I really didnât mean it.â
âItâs okay. Iâm used to it. Anyway, Sophie is always more important than me in your eyes.â
Oh well, why do I never learn? I never win against Sophie. Instead, Iâd only embarrass myself further!
Ysabelle fed him while coaxing him, âWho said so? Youâre the person Iâm going to marry. I canât
possibly do that with Sophie, can I?â
âWhat if she were a man, then? Would you choose her in that case?â
Ysabelle did not answer at once but mulled it over for a while.
âYou still need to think about it? Have you ever considered my feelings, Ysabelle? Youâre going too far!â
âNo! Why are you being so unreasonable, Felix? Sophie is a girl. That aside, do you think Iâm Uncle
Tristanâs match?â
Gosh, heâs fixating on strange issues!
Meanwhile, incredulity deluded Sophie at the sight of the couple bickering because of her.
âYouâre even jealous of me, Felix?â
Tristan brought Sophie a bagel.
âJust ignore them. Theyâre both childish!â Theyâre always so immature, having a row again when itâs
only been less than a week since theyâd made up.
Sophie proceeded to munch on the bagel, no longer paying the couple any mind.
After breakfast, Tristan and Bertram planned to go out to resolve some matters. Sophie changed as
well, insisting on going with them.
âArenât you tired? Stay here and rest since youâve been exhausted in the past few days. Iâll be back in a
jiffy.â
-Iâll go with you. If the matters here can be resolved faster, Iâll also be able to go back earlier.â
Chanaean Medical Association had a new research project, but she could not do any work here since
the conditions were too poor.
âAll right, then.â With me there, it doesnât matter if she tags along.
Bertram acted as their chauffeur.
âWeâre meeting Jetroinaâs bigwig today, Lily Sanders. She has a lot of sway in Fandar, so sheâs the key
if we want to establish a new order. Also, sheâs a woman, and she likes handsome men.â
As he spoke, Bertram could not help casting a glance at Tristan. Mr. Tristan is sure to turn her head,
considering his looks!
âWhy are you looking at me? Iâm married. If you want to use seduction, youâd be the one executing it!â
Lily Sanders hosted a banquet that day and invited the few big shots in Fandar. In other words, she
wanted to appoint herself as the leader.
