Chapter 940
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Chapter 940 Bully
Arius and Georgina rose from their seats. âItâs getting late. Iâll send Georgina home first. Thanks to a
certain someone, sheâs been busy every day!â
He shot Sophie a look.
Georgina pinched his waist. âWhat are you saying? Iâm happy to be able to carry out my current
responsibilities.â It wasnât until I started working in the medical association that I discovered my worth. I
like how good it feels.
âDid you hear that? Georgina is doing this willingly. Besides, Dr. Smith said Georgina is suited to helm
the medical association.â Sophie smirked.
âYouâre just bullying us, Sophie! I feel so unlucky that we met you.
Tristan glowered at Arius. He should watch his mouth.
âAnyway, weâll be heading back now. Bye!â Georgina was frightened by Tristanâs glare. I donât think
Arius is a match for him. We should leave immediately.
Sophie grabbed Tristanâs arm. âWhat are you doing? Thatâs just how Arius is. Heâs only complaining a
little. He doesnât mean anything bad by that. Itâs not like you donât know how well he treats me.â
âI know, but I still donât want to hear him talk about you like that.â Thatâs how protective I am. Georgina
agreed to take on the position. It doesnât have anything to do with Sophie!
âSend me home, Charles! I feel like Iâm being tortured again,â Ysabelle said. I canât believe they didnât
hold back on making us singles suffer. Donât we have it rough enough already?
âSure. Since weâre both single, Iâll send you home.â Charles nodded.
âYour words arenât hurtful, but itâs very humiliating!â she spat. Itâs the truth. The two of us are single,
which doesnât feel good.
âIâm used to it anyway. Besides, whatâs so bad about being single? No one cares if I get drunk, and I
can spend time with as many beautiful ladies as I want!â IT have a girlfriend, I wonât be able to live as
freely and wildly as I want!
âAll right, thatâs enough. I donât want to hear your nonsense anymore.â Ysabelle exited the building with
Charles, Honestly, I still havenât moved on from the days when Felix is by my side.
âThe two of them are getting more insolent by the day. They didnât even bid us goodbye, Tristan
grumbled.
âLetâs go. We should head back and get some rest.
Just as Tristan and Sophie left, Caleb was sent flying out of a private room. âYou two?â
Caleb had just returned from overseas. He had thought heâd have a good time in Chanaea as he came
back from the research institute in Anglandur.
To his surprise, his assumption was incorrect. In fact, he was forced into quite a wretched state.
When he landed next to Sophie, the latter instantly recognized him.
âWhatâs going on?â Sophieâs eyes turned cold. While Iâm not close to Caleb, he never bullied me before
and once wanted to stand by my side. For that, I wonât allow anyone to bully him.
Caleb struggled to crawl up from the ground as a few rich playboys exited the private room. âCaleb,
didnât
Those people were intentionally bullying Caleb because they wanted to vent their frustration. Their
families had been crushed by Tanner Group, and, despite their resentment, they couldnât do anything to
Sophie. Therefore, when they spotted Caleb, they deliberately gave him a hard time.
However, none of them expected to encounter Sophie.
Caleb stood up and protected Sophie behind him. âWhat do you want? Iâm telling you-
Even though Caleb couldnât maintain his balance, he still tried to protect Sophie because she was his
sister.
The rich playboys obviously recognized Sophie and were afraid she would settle the scores with them.
They immediately said, âDonât you have a terrible relationship with the Tanner family, Sophie? Weâre
helping you take revenge here!â
Sophie sneered, âI donât need you jokers to interfere with my relationship with the Tanner family.â
As she stood behind Caleb, she recalled how her grandfather used to love Caleb and think he was the
pride of the Tanner family. Grandpa was genuinely ecstatic that Caleb was able to join the research
institute in Anglandur
âYou-
âLet me handle this!â Tristan, who had been staying silent beside Sophie, growled. Itâs just a few rich
playboys. Besides, sheâs tired. I donât want her to overcrert herself.
âWeâre civilized people.â Sophie smiled, but that smile frightened the playboys.
âIâm telling you, Sophie, this is a civilized society. You- Before one of the playboys could finish his
sentence, her terrifying glare stopped him.
âWho did this?â
The rich playboys couldnât help swallowing a lump in their throats. We heard Ms. Sophie was
incredible, but we thought she was just a woman. Hence, we assumed she wasnât as marvelous as her
reputation suggested. However, that look in her eyesâ¦.
Their legs were turning to jelly.
âI know this is a civilized society. Itâs better that you take care of them, Mr. Tristan. I canât be bothered to
deal with them. Just break their limbs and keep them alive,â Sophie added.
âMr. Tristan?â The group of playboys became even more horrified upon hearing that. If he really is Mr.
Tristan, then thereâs no way we can retaliate!
âItâd be my pleasure.â Tristan cracked his knuckles.
Caleb was a little worried to see the couple behave like that. âIâm fine, Sophie. Forget about it.â
Sophie shook her head. âNo, youâre not. Your hands are made for research. Remember, thatâs the
expectation Grandpa has for you.â I canât allow him to stray from his path now that Grandpaâs gone. If
he learns
about this, heâll be so disappointed!
Caleb chuckled self-deprecatingly. I thought Iâd be able to thrive once I returned to the country. Yet,
reality has given me a good wake-up slap.
Tristan swiftly and ruthlessly dealt with the playboys as they screamed in pain. No passers-by spoke a
word when they realized they were looking at the famous Mr. Tristan of Jipsdale.
The playboys were rolling around on the ground with pale faces.
âFeel free to sue me for breaking the law. Iâm Tristan Lombard from Lombard Group.â Tristan didnât
want to bully those people at first. However, since they had overestimated themselves and thought they
could harass Caleb, he thought he should give them a taste of their own medicine.
Sophie insisted on sending Caleb to the hospital, so Caleb could not refuse. Upon arriving at the
hospital, he was examined by a doctor, who promptly treated his wound.
