Chapter 915
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Chapter 915 Fonder
However, no matter what she said, Tristan simply refused to open the door for her. Ysabelle kicked the
door several times in anger.
Still, Tristan wouldnât open up even after she booted the door until her leg hurt.
A dejected Ysabelle dialed Sophieâs number, but the latter didnât pick up her phone. In the end,
Ysabelle had no choice but to go back to the company.
She reckoned Sophie was still asleep, so she didnât want to disturb her
Xandra halted Ysabelle when she saw Ysabelle returning not long after leaving. âDidnât you say you
had something important to attend to?â
Ysabelle felt aggrieved. âThere wasnât anything important, actually, I was just worried about Sophie and
wanted to visit her, but I didnât even get to meet her.â
Taking in her demeanor, Xandra almost burst out laughing.
âXandra, let me tell you what happened. My Uncle Tristan is really a jerk. He doesnât want me to bother
Sophie when Iâm just concerned about her. Why else would I have made time to visit her?â
Xandra patted Ysabelleâs face dotingly. âAll right. Focus on your dance practice since youâre back. I
recently secured you a role in a variety show. Itâs a singing program that I think youâll like.â
Ysabelle was indeed very popular at that moment, but she still needed to polish her singing skills.
After racking her brain relentlessly, Xandra decided to arrange for Ysabelle to take part in a variety
show.
âI donât want to join a variety show. I think Iâm doing fine as of now, really.â Mark and the others didnât
participate in variety shows either, right? Whenever they had the time, they would focus on writing
songs, and their careers are progressing well now.
âThis will be beneficial to your singing skills. Youâre very popular now, but who can guarantee how long
this sensation will last? Ysabelle, if you wish to stay in the entertainment industry for the long term, you
must be competent, got it?â
Otherwise, no resources would help if she didnât have the skill.
âOkay. I understand. Iâll consider it.â Ysabelleâs determination wavered. She had always wondered if
she would be that successful if it werenât for Sophie.
Now that Xandra said the same thing, she realized she had to work harder instead of staying idle.
âYou can ask Sophie if you donât believe me. She will definitely agree with my plan. This variety show is
different from others.â
âMs. Yandell, of course, I have faith in you.â Ms. Yandell is the best crisis manager in the world.
Naturally, Iâm delighted sheâs willing to help me with my career planning
âOkay. If you have no objections, make sure to prepare well for the show and donât get eliminated in the
first episode. That will be so embarrassing.
âAll right. I got it.â Am I really that bad? Getting eliminated in the first episode will indeed be quite
humiliating
Subsequently, Ysabelle went to practice her dancing. Her manager smiled contentedly when she saw
how hardworking Ysabelle was.
âMs. Yandell, Ysabelle is actually very hardworking already. You shouldnât have told her those things
because that would frighten her.â
Ysabelle was just an inexperienced young girl to begin with.
âI didnât expect you to be so protective of her. If you genuinely care about her, you should tell her the
truth. It will be too late to regret it by the time she gets eliminated from the entertainment industry.â
Contrition at a later time would serve no purpose.
As adults, they should bear the responsibility for their actions.
âMs. Yandell, I understand what youâre saying. Donât worry. Iâll plan well.â All of us rely on TS
Entertainment to make a living now. The company has indeed treated us well, so we should work
harder too.
When Sophie woke up, she noticed multiple missed calls from Ysabelle..
Sophie thought something bad happened, so she immediately returned the call.
âHello, Ysabelle? Why did you call me so many times? Is something wrong?â Sophie was worried about
a crisis since Ysabelle was now working in the entertainment industry.
âItâs nothing. I was just worried about you, so I went over to visit you, but Uncle Tristan wouldnât let me
in. In the end, I left without getting to see you.â Grievances churned within Ysabelle as she spoke.
âSophie, do you know how Uncle Tristan treated me? He was so mean! You must help me teach him a
lesson.â
Sophie almost laughed out loud. âAll right. Rest assured. Iâll definitely help you teach him a lesson.â
In fact, Sophie knew Tristan was just concerned she might not get sufficient quality rest.
The past two days had undoubtedly been rough on her, so she needed a good rest
âOkay. Can I come to visit you tonight?â Ysabelle was persistent as she missed Sophie a lot after not
seeing her for so many days.
âSure, you can come over tonight. Iâve been sleeping all afternoon, and I think Iâve had enough sleep by
now.â
âGreat. Iâll go and visit you when Iâm done here. Do you want me to bring you anything to eat?â
âThatâs not necessary. Thereâs plenty of food here. You can just come here straight.â
âAll right, then. Remember to open the door for me later. Otherwise, I wonât get to go in.â Ysabelle was
still furious when she recalled the unpleasant experience earlier in the afternoon.
âOkay.â After hanging up the phone, Sophie got out of bed and changed into a fresh pair of clothes
before leaving the room.
When she reached the living room, she didnât see Tristan around but caught whiffâs of the aroma of
food.
She walked to the kitchen and found him making soup. Instead of getting some rest while she slept, he
went to the kitchen to prepare soup for her.
Sophie approached him and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. âWhy didnât you take a
break?â she asked.
âYouâre awake? I donât need to rest. Iâve been taking it easy these past few days.â
âHm, Tristan, I miss you too.â They had only been apart for three days, yet the longing was driving her
mad.
Tristan put down the ladle. Initially, he wanted to taste the soup, but at that moment, he only yearned to
hold her tightly. âAre you really well-rested?â
She had no idea how terribly his heart ached when he saw her coming out with an ashen face.
He couldnât bear to see her so exhausted when she couldâve led an easy life.
However, she always pushed herself to the limit each time.
âYes. Iâm fine. Iâm standing before you in the pink of health, arenât I?â
Tristan lifted her and plopped her down on the dining table. Then, he stood between her legs, cupped
her face, and kissed her gently.
Sophie knew he had been under a lot of pressure during those three days, worrying about what would
happen if she failed and forgot him.
She reciprocated his kiss. This is a man I deeply love and cherish.
The couple indulged themselves in that intimate moment for a long time,
Right then, someone knocked on the door. Tristan grimaced when he heard the sound. Whatâs wrong
with these people? Donât they understand these few days of separation have made our hearts grow
fonder of one another? Are they tired of living, constantly coming here and interrupting us?
Sophie suppressed her laughter. He looks so cute like that. She quickly pecked him on the lips. âThatâs
enough. I think it should be Ysabelle. Iâll go open the door.â
With that, Sophie got off the table and tidied her clothes before she went to answer the door.
