Chapter 899
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Chapter 899 Wise
âPlease, Mr. Tristan. Just ask Sophie to keep Ysabelle company!â begged Felix.
âFine, fine. Iâll do that. Be careful on your way back.â Jadging from Felirâs tone, heâs clearly deeply hurt
by this as well. Itâs also obvious how much he likes her. Even though he sounds like heâs in pain, heâs
still looking out for Ysabelleâs emotional state. I donât understand what the two of them are doing. If they
like each other, they should remain together and work out their problems instead of bickering all day.
Sophie tidied her messy shirt and hair before approaching Tristan.
Upon glancing at Tristanâs countenance, she had a pretty good guess of what had happened. âWhatâs
the matter? They havenât made up yet?â After he told her about Felixâs request, she nodded. âAll right,
then. Weâll stay here tonight. Iâll keep Ysabelle company
âI donât want you to keep anyone else company.â Tristan pouted. Even if the person sheâs staying with
is my niece, I still donât want her to go.
Standing on her toes, Sophie kissed him. âAll right, you should return to your room and rest now. Iâll
take a look at Ysabelle. Donât worry. We still have a lifetime ahead of us. Iâll always stay by your side.â
Tristan felt much better upon hearing that. âThatâs right. You belong to me for the rest of your life, so we
have plenty of time left.â Although, I wonder, is a lifetime really that long? I want her to stay by my side
in our next life and the one after that.
âIâll check up on Ysabelle now. Sheâll be fine with me by her side,â reassured Sophie.
âOkay. Go ahead!â
When Sophie arrived at Ysabelleâs room, she noticed the door was open.
Upon entering the room, Sophie saw her friend applying a facial mask as if nothing had happened.
âWhy are you here? Itâs late. You should rest.â Ysabelle really didnât want to bother anyone. Since Iâve
decided to break up with Felir, I should live a better life. Otherwise, Felix will think I canât move on from
him.
Sophie sat on the bed and stared at Ysabelle.
âWhy are you gazing at me, Sophie? It makes me feel uncomfortable, you know,â remarked Ysabelle.
Sophie replied, âWeâre best friends, arenât we, Ysabelle? You can tell me whatâs bothering you.â
In response, Ysabelle removed her facial mask. âIâm serious this time, Sophie. I really want to break up
with him.â Since Felix feels so drained staying with me, why shouldnât I break up with him for his sake?
âIf you truly want to separate from him, Iâll support you. Regardless of your decision, Iâll always have
your back.â Sophie didnât want to interrogate her friend. Iâm not Ysabelle, so I donât know how she feels
right now. All I can do is support her.
After washing her face, Ysabelle lay on the bed with Sophie. âMhm. You always treat me the best,
Sophie. I really donât want anyone to ask me too many questions right now. All I need is for someone to
stay by my side.
Thus, the two of them slept with each other. The next day, Ysabelle put on fancy makeup as though
what happened last night didnât occur.
Sophie felt much more at ease when she saw her friend doing better emotionally.
âIâm not kidding, Sophie. Thereâs no need to worry about me. I know Iâve always been finicky, but I
know what Iâm doing right now,â assured Ysabelle. Since Iâm the one who proposed the breakup, Iâll do
my best to move on from the relationship.
âIâm glad to see you like this.â Sophie smiled. Ysabelle really has matured after spending two years in
the entertainment industry. Sheâs an independent woman now.
Tristan drove both Sophie and Ysabelle to their destinations.
âWe wonât judge whoâs in the right and wrong for the breakup. Ysabelle. However, if you still love him.
donât KO overboard. Otherwise, itâll be difficult for you to clean up the mess afterward,â he warned.
âDonât worry, Uncle Tristan. I know what Iâm doing. This time, Iâm certain I want to break up with him.
Iâm fine with not meeting him if itâs too awkward for everyone to gather together in the future.â
Upon hearing that, Tristan shook his head. She sure is heartless. Now, I canât help but pity Felir for
falling in love with someone like her
âAll right, then. In that case, we shouldnât interfere with their matters anymore. All that matters is that
Ysabelleâs happy.â
Felir will just have to learn to move on.
When the car arrived before TS, Sophie was relieved to see Ysabelle stepping toward the building
confidently. At least she doesnât seem to be in agony. This is good.
Holding Ysabelleâs hand. Tristan commented, âIâm glad I met you. If I had fallen in love with a woman
like Ysabelle. I think I wouldâve died of a heart attack.â He did not doubt she had the ability to do that.
âI think Ysabelleâs fine. Itâs just that she still hasnât thought things through,â replied Sophie. Regarding
matters like these, itâs impossible to tell what the people in the situation think.
After Tristan sent Sophie to the medical association, he left. Recently, Sophie had been researching.
memory erasure there.
It had been a few days since she went to the University of Medicine. Hence, the moment she arrived at
the medical association, Dominic called her and spoke earnestly. âWhatâs the matter with you, Sophie?
I know youâre busy, but you still have to attend your classes, you know? Itâs been days!â
âI know, Mr. Sawyer. There are a few matters that require my attention right now. I promise Iâll return to
the university after a few days.â Of course, Sophie was aware of how much she was troubling Dominic.
After all, she had just skipped grades, yet she hadnât shown up for her classes.
âWell, if you do have something important you need to take care of, go ahead. You have my support at
the University of Medicine. No one will dare to do anything to you!â
It was because of how protective Dominic was that Sophie was concerned about him.
âThank you, Mr. Sawyer.â Upon ending the call, Sophie entered the medical association. There, she
saw Nicholas again and frowned. He doesnât know how to give up, does he?
âWhat are you trying to do, Nicholas? Youâre bothering me!â Instead of venturing deeper, she just stood
there.
âDo you want us to fight to the bitter end?â She rubbed her chin. Iâve already planned everything out.
However, Iâm not mature enough yet. I need a little more time to ensure this works. If not, the situation
will get messy.
âI was missing you, which is why I came to visit. Donât worry. I wonât disturb you. Besides, didnât you
agree to treat me?â
Nicholas had gotten wise. He knew he wouldnât gain any advantage even if he took physical action
against her.
After all, if Sophie fought earnestly, there was a good chance he would lose.
âIâm busy today, so I donât have time to treat you! Besides, your ailment is psychological, and Iâm not a
psychiatrist. Upon ending her sentence, she ignored him and went further into the building. âAlso, donât
follow me inside unless you donât mind fighting me here.â
