Chapter 596
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Right when he was starting his armored car, Felix went up to him and grabbed his leg to pull him out of
the vehicle.
Next to them, Stephenâs secretary dropped to his knees and begged, âPlease spare me! No matter
what you want to know, Iâll tell you! Please let me live!â
The secretary wanted nothing but to live.
Apparently, no one in Anglandur had courage, and they were all willing to beg for their lives.
Stephenâs face fell when he saw what his secretary was doing. I really didnât see this coming. I thought
I was able to achieve a complete victory.
âTristan, what are you doing? I still need to take part in the general election. What are you guys doingâ¦
Forget about it! Iâm willing to give you anything you want! All you need to do is to let me attend the
general election!â Stephen offered.
Needless to say, Stephen had no idea what was going on.
âGeneral election? No chance! You shouldnât have messed with Chanaea! Stephen, if you die here, do
you think someone is going to avenge your death? No! Donât you know much others hate you?â Tristan
queried. If Stephen were to disappear from the face of the earth today, no one would search for him.
At that moment, Stephenâs secretary was peeing his pants, and he was trembling in fear. âThis is all his
doing, and I have nothing to do with anything. Please let me go! Iâm serious. Iâll tell you guys everything
you guys want to know. As long as you donât kill me, Iâll give you my full cooperation.â
âJohn!â Stephen warned John Whittaker. âDo you think theyâll let you live just because youâre willing to
tell them everything? You must be dreaming!â
Felix couldnât help but laugh. âJohn, is it? Well, we can consider letting you live. However, that depends
on how much you know.â
After all, the strong would always dominate the weak.
Felix and the others had the right to act arrogantly.
âTristan, Iâm a senator for Anglandur. If I were to die here, do you think youâll be able to explain
yourself?â Of course, Stephen didnât want to die.
He was even dreaming of becoming Anglandurâs president.
âWhat? Why would I kill you here?â
Stephen breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that. As long as I get to live, I can still come up with
something.
âOkay. Thatâs enough. Stop talking nonsense to them and tie them up!â Tristan ordered. Both of these
men are evil, so Iâm not letting either of them off the hook. Right when he was starting his armored car,
Felix went up to him and grabbed his leg to pull him out of the vehicle.
Right then, Seanâs voice rang out in the earpiece, and he said, âAll right. Itâs time to leave.â After they
had created such a huge scene in Anglandur, it would be foolish of them to stay longer than they had
to.
âOkay. Letâs get ready to go back! Felix, destroy all the evidence here,â Tristan ordered. If we donât
leave evidence behind, no one can accuse us of anything.
In the meantime, Javier arrived at the hospital in a rush and saw Nicholas barely breathing. While
trembling all over, he asked, âWhat happened? Didnât I ask you to follow him wherever he goes? How
did something like this happen?â
Alex was kneeling on the ground.
After what happened, he couldnât forgive himself.
Therefore, he was willing to accept any punishment Javier had in mind for him.
Everyone else at the scene then knelt, and one of them said, âOld Mr. Sable, this has nothing to do with
Alex. Mr. Nicholas made the decision on his own! None of us could stop him!â
Everyone knew what Nicholas was like. Once he made up his mind, there was no changing it.
âTell the doctor that if he doesnât save my son, heâs dead!â Nicholas was Javierâs only son, so there was
no way the older man would give up on Nicholas.
Meanwhile, Alex was still kneeling on the ground, and he dared not move a single muscle. I didnât want
any of this to happen, but thereâs nothing I can do now! Everything has already happened!
âTristan, if anything happens to my son, youâre dead!â Javier fumed.
At the same time, in Central Hospital, Sophie had successfully developed the antidote. They would
need to go through clinical trials next.
Over the past few days, Barneyâs admiration for Sophie had grown exponentially. This young girl is
totally unrivaled! Despite her tender age, she managed to develop an antidote for such a complicated
virus. I canât imagine how bright her future will be!
âAll right now, leave the rest to Georgina and me! You should rest!â Barney knew how tired Sophie was.
Throughout the research, she failed countless times, but she just kept trying. Not many people have
the attitude she has.
With the research done, Sophie could finally breathe a sigh of relief. What was left was to wait and see
the results.
That was something Georgina was capable of doing.
âGet some rest, Sophie! Iâll stay and handle the matter. I wonât disappoint you!â Georgina was very
excited because she had just accomplished a huge achievement alongside Sophie.
âOkay,â Sophie answered.
Before Sophie went to rest, she went to the ward to see Arius first. Arius had been lying in bed all this
while, and he felt as though he was going crazy.
âSophie! I knew it! You never disappoint!â Arius heard about Sophieâs achievement.
He would always admire Sophie because she could never let one down. No matter what she did, she
would always deliver the best outcome.
However, she hadnât had a rest in a long time, so she looked rather pale. Even her beautiful eyes
werenât as bright as always.
âIâve just done what you were meant to do. Now that Iâve helped you, you better start thinking of ways
to thank me,â Sophie uttered. If not for him, I wouldnât be so exhausted.
âHow about marrying me?â he asked.
In response, Sophie shot him a glance and replied, âWatch your mouth. You better not let Tristan hear
you say something like that.â Indeed, if Tristan were to hear it, she wouldnât be able to protect Arius.
âOh! Howâs Mr. Tristan? Whatâs he doing nowadays?â Arius asked. Tristan hadnât seen Sophie in such
a long time. If he were to find out that I was the one who got Sophie here in the first place, heâs going to
kill me!
âHe had gone to Anglandur.â Sophieâs heart ached when she thought about how Tristan had gone to
Anglandur to capture Stephen. What if something bad happens to him?
âOh, I see. Donât worry! Heâs an incredible man. Nothingâs going to happen to him. Besides, donât you
already know what kind of man Tristan is?â Arius queried. Tristan is so strong that he can definitely
crush all his enemies.
âI think so, too!â Sophie knew how impressive Tristan was. No matter what, heâs going to be fine.
Arius was getting jealous. âYour relationship with him is so good! I bet itâs already stronger than our
relationship!â
Sophie raised her brows and asked flatly, âIs there even a relationship between us?â
Arius was rendered speechless. Sheâs too much. In fact, sheâs the perfect example of a woman putting
men before friends.
