Chapter 289 She Is Ungrateful On the other side.
The house that Tyrell used to live in had been sold.
Next to the house was one of the villas under Cassieâs name.
Before Lindsey went to the charity banquet, she asked servants to break the lock of the villa. She wanted to move in.
With three members of her family and about five servants, they couldnât afford to live in the hotel every day.
Not long after the servants finished moving house, a plainly dressed woman came to the house where Tyrell had lived. When she learned that Tyrell had moved next door, she changed her destination.
One of the servants saw her and immediately wore a sullen look. âWhat are you doing here? Didnât I tell you not to come over anymore?â
âI heard that Abbigail would have an engagement ceremony in two daysâ¦â
The woman sounded humble. However, the servant rolled her eyes before the woman could finish her sentence. âWhat does it have to do with you? Who do you think you are? The Tate family wonât invite you. If you donât leave right now, we will call security guards to drive you away.â
Hearing what the servant had said, the woman felt depressed. Soon, she explained, âYou are mistaken.
I donât want to attend the ceremonyâ¦â
Just then, van *****over and then stopped in front of the Tateâs home.
Before the servant and the woman could react, they saw Tyrell, Lindsey, and Abbigail being thrown out of the car.
The next moment, the van disappeared.
The three people who had been thrown out of the car were tied up with ropes. Their faces were swollen, and their *****were stuffed with ****socks.
It took the servant a while to regain her senses. She shouted, âMr. and Mrs. Tate, what happened? Ms.
Abbigail, are you alright? Hurry up and come over. They are injured. Come and bring them in!â
âAbbigail, who beat you up?â the woman outside the door rushed forward and was about to untie the rope on Abbigail.
Surprisingly, Abbigail worked hard to stay away from her. âWhat are you doing here? Didnât I tell you not to see me? Get lost!â
âAbbigail, Iâm your ****. I just want toâ¦â
âWhat are you saying? Have you seen her? She is my *****, are you okay? Are you injured?â Abbigail interrupted the woman impatiently.
The woman, Dolores, watched Abbigail be attentive to Lindsey. In Doloresâ mind, Abbigail was a good and clever daughter. She didnât expect that Abbigail would be this rude to herâ¦
Dolores felt bitter.
Lindsey stood up with a servantâs help. As soon as she got freedom, she raised her hand and slapped Dolores.
âI gave you 16 thousand dollars before, but you didnât receive it. Do you regret it now? Why are you coming to Abbigail again?â
Lindsey didnât wait for Dolores to answer and sneered, âDid you hear about the land we bought today?
You realized how rich we are. You want to get more money from us. Is that so?â
The servant stood beside rolled her eyes at Dolores and added coldly, âMrs. Tate, she mentioned Ms.
Abbigailâs engagement ceremony just nowâ¦â
âWhat? Do you want to attend Abbigailâs engagement ceremony as her mother? Are you crazy? Listen, itâs impossible.â
Although Lindsey was ***, Dolores didnât want to argue with her. Instead, Dolores handed the bag in her hand to Abbigail. âI heard that youâre getting engaged. This is a gift for you.â
Abbigail frowned when she heard Doloresâ words. She could tell that there was nothing expensive in the bag.
At least, there wouldnât be a bank card or costly jewelry.
âI know that you donât lack money. You can get whatever you want for your engagement. Therefore, I prepared you with a set of bedding. I wish you a happy life with your husband. I hope you can love each other foreverâ¦â
Lindsey rolled her eyes. She had thought that Dolores would give Abbigail something fancy. She was wrong. It was totally a waste of her time.
âI donât need them. You can take them away,â Abbigail said as she held Lindseyâs hand and was about to enter the door.
Dolores stopped her and stared at her strange back with watery eyes. âAbbigail, itâs the last time I have come to see you. I promise you that I wonât appear in front of you anymore. Take my gift! Iâll leave as soon as you take it.â
It was the best wedding gift she could give to Abbigail, who once was her daughter.
Abbigail ran out of patience. She cast a glance at the servant, and the latter took the bag from Dolores.
The servantâs rude action and disdainful look came undoubtedly as a ***to Doloresâ dignity.
âMs. Abbigail has accepted your gift. Why arenât you leaving?â
âAbbigailâ¦â
âIâve already accepted it. What else do you want? Canât you see that weâre injured? We want to go in and disinfect our wounds. We need to deal with them. Is that okay?â Abbigail said impatiently before Dolores finished her words.
Get Bo Doloresâ eyes were filled with tears. She nodded and said in a broken voice, âI wish you happiness.â
Abbigail froze instantly.
âCall the security guards and warn them to pay more attention. Donât let anyone strange in anymore.â
Lindsey acted like she was the owner of the villa.
Since Dolores had not gone far, she could hear Lindseyâs words. She laughed at herself.
All these years, she had worked so hard to raise Abbigail.
After Abbigail returned to the Tate family, Tyrell and Lindsey offered to give Dolores 16 thousand dollars to appreciate her. However, Dolores did not take it. She only wished that she could have chances to see Abbigail occasionally. To her surprise, Abbigail hated her and did not want to get involved with her anymore.
The Tate family didnât allow her to see Abbigail either.
She had been here several times, but she was chased away by the servants every time..
Since Abbigail had found her real parents and returned to a wealthy family, Dolores knew that she definitely would live a happier life than before.
However, Dolores couldnât help feeling sad as Abbigail refused to view Dolores as her mother anymore.
The servant opened the bag as soon as she entered the villa. She took out the bedding inside and said with disgust, âWhat is it? The bedding is ***. Ms. Tate, it doesnât fit you at all. If others see it, they probably will think that the Tate family is going bankrupt.â
Lindsey glanced at it and said coldly, âThrow it away!â
Even if Abbigail got married, she couldnât use such rough bedding. What if she didnât sleep well? She would have nightmares.
Abbigail cast a glance at the pattern on the pillowcase. Suddenly, how Dolores spent every night working in. front of the lights to pay her tuition fees occurred to her.
Dolores was good at making bedding, and the patterns she designed were delicate. All those who lived in the slum would go to Dolores and ask her to make a pair of pillowcases for them when they encountered happy events.
Thanks to it, Dolores earned a living, paid Abbigailâs tuition fees, and could even buy candies for Abbigail.
sometimes Abbigail felt mixed. She used to live a bitter life, and she was not willing to recall it a second time.
She didnât want to be that *****anymore. Her life before was completely different from after she returned to the Tate family.
The servant threw the bedding into the trash can and kept complaining, âAfter Ms. Abbigail marries into the Elinor family, she can use the most popular, most comfortable, and most beautiful bedding. Did Dolores do it deliberately? She wanted to let the Elinor family know that Ms. Abbigail had suffered a lot.
She wanted to annoy Ms Abbigail on purpose.
Get Bro Lindsey did not want to hear anything about Dolores and said with a wave of her hand, âGo and get the medicine chest.â
