Chapter 5
The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife
Walking into the hall with large strides, Edgar helped Nancy up.
Then, he looked at Grace disappointedly and viciously, saying, âI thought you would restrain yourself after the divorce. I didnât expect you to be so despicable. You disgust me! I planned to give you this villa and put it in your name, but now it seems I donât have to do so.â
âEdgar, donât blame Grace. I infuriated her, so she pushed me accidentally. Itâs all my fault. Please scold me.â
Leaning weakly in his arms, Nancy looked guilty and sobbed pitifully, but when she glanced at Grace out of the corner of her eye, there was a hint of victory in her eyes.
Looking indifferent, Edgar said to Grace in a commanding tone, âApologize to Nan immediately!â
Grace thought, âTsk, he wants me to apologize?â
She was a little angry.
Seeing the two of them all lovey-dovey, Grace looked them up and down, smiled, and gently pulled Nancy, who was in Edgarâs arms.
Edgar thought that Grace would be angry and argue with him. He didnât expect her to be smiling.
Looking at her suspiciously, Nancy couldnât figure out what Grace was trying to do. She let Grace pull her up and then stood in front of her without any resistance for a moment.
âSmack!â
âOww!â
Screaming more shrilly, Nancy covered her swollen face and fell firmly to the ground. ce and fell firmly to the ground.
Grace had slapped Nancy with all her strength, and her palm was a little numb. It could be of the slap.
seen that Nancy was in great pain because of the fer Smiling faintly, Grace was surprisingly calm. She acted like she wasnât the one who had just slapped Nancy.
She looked down at Nancy on the ground and said gently, how can my evil deeds be solidified if I donât slap you?â Since you said that I bullied you, Tears welled up in Nancyâs eyes as she sat weakly on the ground, sobbing softly.
Edgar didnât expect that Grace would hit Nancy in front of him, so he forgot to hold onto Nancy for a moment.
Looking gloomy, he glared at Grace threateningly and said, âNot only did you not apologize, but you even made things worse! Are you testing my bottom line?â
âYouâre overthinking, Mr. Fallen.â
Waving her hand repeatedly, Grace smiled more brightly.
âAfter all, we were once a couple. Before I leave, Iâll give you another grand gift!â
The billionaire Iâs with 1.3%
As she spoke, she took out a thick stack of copies from her bag before throwing them at his face.
The snow-white paper flew all through the air.
Edgar picked up one copy conveniently and saw text records on it, which were all full of sarcastic and insulting words. The sender sounded arrogant. As he silently read the number without any name, he was suddenly a little shocked.
When he flipped to the back, it showed evidence that he had been drugged last night. The clues were all solid, which showed that Nancy was the culprit.
Frowning, he looked intimidatingly at Nancy, who was lying on the ground.
Nancy had just finished reading the contents of the paper, and her face was pale.
It was true that she had asked someone to put the drug in his wine, and she had called him, asking him to find her at the hotel. However, she didnât expect that the driver would send him back to the villa by accident and let Grace take advantage of it!
She was so angry that she wanted to send Grace a text message to mock her.
To her surprise, Grace dared to confront her head-on this time.
She wondered what Edgar would think of her.
Before she could defend herself, Grace picked up her packed suitcase and looked at Edgar, the man she had once loved sincerely, for the last time before leaving.
âEdgar, remember, itâs not me who was abandoned after the divorce. Itâs you! Itâs me who abandoned you, and the Fallen family doesnât deserve me!â
